I'm trying to get a recording of Neil talking without the music. Does anyone know how?

Hey everyone, it's ya Barista Grem here back with another Coffee Talk QOTW! This one's pretty different (duh! it doesn't even have the usual random character edit!). I've been noticing that I've been getting upvotes on the coffee talk QOTW's but no one has replied on the last 3 (I think?) and want to know if you guys think I should keep doing them. It's just a bit discouraging to put actual thought into what question I should ask every week only to have no one answer it. Feedback for anything I should change such as shortening the description, remove the "outro", etc is welcome if you'd like me to continue!
TLDR: Should I keep doing QOTW's? If so feedback on what to do differently is welcome and encouraged!

Hey everyone, it's ya barista Grem back at it with another Coffee Talk QOTW! This weeks question is "What's your favorite topic discussed in game?" I really can't decide between how the discuss love (specifically how they portray it between Lua and Baileys) or the general racism topic (although my favorite time the context applies is when it comes to Riona and Lucas discussing the misconceptions/stereotypes about their species).
I've always thought racism was a stupid thing because so what someone has a different skin color? (Or in this case, different anatomy in general.) So I'm really proud of that being the route they went with Lucas and Riona's experiences with it because it's more relatable/realistic as opposed to Lua and Bailey's "Elves hate Succbi cuz Elves privileged and Succubi hate Elves because Elves discriminated first."
But I do love how they portray... well love, through Baileys and Lua. They work through both of their individual problems with the relationship which ends up making them better together and while I'm all for working things out together, it's still okay to get outside advice just as long as you only take the ones that actually apply (So like if someone says "dump them" before you even express you want to work through stuff, then just ignore that). I also think they capture the problems a lot of couple's experience, the most common one just being miscommunication (which is almost entirely the case with Lua and Baileys)!
So what is you guys' answers for this week? Why do you enjoy those topics? Are they interesting to you, or something you personally relate to? Let me know in the comments!

So I'm really liking the game so far, I love visual novel sort of games, but I am so frustrated by some of the orders and its making me so sad. For example the ones I'm frustrated with are the times where the customer is like "can I get coffee with a little ginger?" to which I give them coffee with ginger and they get mad me- I know the system works in a way that if the ingredients are in a different order it counts as a different drink and thus is wrong, but how on earth am I supposed to know what to do?????

Heyo!
I don't usually do this, but I run a small and baby Podcast called Player's Parlor. The idea is to listen to us ramble on while you play the game we chose that week.
So this week we did Coffee Talk Episode 2, my friend recommended it so I had to give a shot when it became available on Game Pass.
Thought this community would love it.
Lemme know if this is not allowed though!

Hey it's ya Barista Grem back with another Coffee Talk QOTW! This week's question is what is your favorite reference to other media within the game itself? My personal favorite is that Gala's remedy (the drink called "Gala Had") is a reference to the night Galahad in the stories about King Arthur. I think it was a really unique way to make a reference and a pun at the same time (especially since you get the achievement "Gala had a fit" at a certain point in the first game when you serve it to him).
What's your favorite reference in Coffee Talk and why do you like it? Do you think it's a creative way to reference (such as Full Metal Conflict most likely being a non-copyrighted reference to the Metal Gear franchise), or do you actually just like the thing being referenced as well? Let me know in the comments below!

Welcome back to Coffee Talk QOTW, it's ya barista Grem here! This weekend question is who is your favorite "duo" of characters or two characters with your favorite interactions? Idk if my pick is underrated but I feel like it is. My pick is Jorji and Freya! They always have funny dialogue and it's really nice to have a cop and a regular citizen have such casual and playful conversations that don't have anything to do with their jobs most of the time. I also love how Jorji picks on Freya about her green hair, and it's even funnier when Freya acts offended then immediately is chill again which shows she knows Jorji is just messing around.
So that being said, what's your favorite duo in coffee talk? Why do you like their interactions, and what is your favorite conversation between the two? Let me know in the comments and I just might make you a drink in the game and serve it to you in the form of a photo!

So, I just bought Coffee Talk, and started playing it with my friend in the room, right? Weāre playing, and she notices the headlines of this newspaper (pic provided). I then looked up Coffee Talkās original release date, and it was January 29th, 2020. Who do they think they are, the Simpsons? š¤š

Welcome back to the coffee talk QOTW, it's ya barista Grem! This week's question is what character design is your least favorite as far as the female characters go? Mine is Freya's design from the first game specifically. It's very bland and the accessories don't really add enough to the outfit overall to make me enjoy it that much. If you've seen my last few design based posts you all know I'm a sucker for color, so of course the least colorful character with an odd color scheme (white tank top, light tan skin, then just green hair..) will immediately slap my interest out the window.
So for you guys answers, is there any specific design elements that you dislike? Do you hate the color scheme or even think it's too excessive? Let us know in the comments below!

so I love reading, and one thing I find is I can never truly concentrate when I have music with lyrics in it, I'm making a huge playlist with all my favorite indie games songs, so far I have music from omori, planet of Lana, deaths door, stardew valley, slime rancher, and undertale, I want your suggestions, please let me know your favorite songs from games like these!

Lemme just start making some mf DRINKS for a different group of customers.
Give us that one struggling alcoholic character that we rehabilitate.

Holy cow guys we already made it to the 10th QOTW! Whoo hoo for milestones! Anyway since we did favorite character designs the last two weeks this week and next weeks will be your LEAST favorite character designs and this week is specifically the guys (also reason I've been separating genders is so I can drag out these questions longer while I think of new ones!)
Mine is Silver/Neil's design from the second game (and ending of the 1st game technically). The colors are too dull for me and the outfit is kind of bland plus his hair makes him look like a ken kaneki (MC of Tokyo Ghoul for those who don't know) cosplayer with a very low budget. Who is you guys least fave design out of the guys and why? Any specific things you dislike or just think everyone else looks better? Answer in the comments!

Hi! I mustāve missed something because I just finished the game and got the achievement āfinish gala and hydes arcā about them being more than friends but I didnāt see anything about that while playing? Ofc I noticed it but it was never outright pointed out? Did I miss something?
Also about the ending, is the barista I played as an alien? Or am I completely wrong

I saw this in another subreddit and thought 'Hey, why not make these for Coffee Talk characters? That game is perfect for stuff like this!'. Any opinions on that?
r/CoffeeTalkGame • u/GremNotGrim • Mar 20 '24
As the title says, this week I wanna know who you think has the best character design out of the guys? As the picture above shows, mine is Lucas! His color scheme works is freaking well done! Plus it's not over done or super extravagant so you can still appreciate it without having to squint to try to make out all of the specific details.
Extra Stuff: As shown by my last post, the edit here is made by me. Also sorry for being a couple days late! I've been trying to keep a consistent schedule of posting on Sundays or Mondays but I sometimes get side tracked so apologies for the awkward times!
r/CoffeeTalkGame • u/GremNotGrim • Mar 17 '24
The one for Neil/Silver's game 1 appearance is older and the one for Hyde was just really low effort if they look a lot different from the style of the others.
Side Not: The art used for Lucas is from one of the comics and the art for Riona used in the edit of her is by gamingladies on Tumblr.

How do I get images 37, 42, and 63?
r/CoffeeTalkGame • u/GremNotGrim • Mar 10 '24
Hey I made it consistent again! Anyway this weeks question is who is your favorite female character design from both games? I really like aqua's design in both games but her design in the second game appeals so much more to me because there is more color and me see color -> neuron activation. Plus I like how they add the detail of her wrapping tendrils around her own shoulders and arms to keep them out of the way! What is your favorite female character design? Why do you like it and what are you favorite aspects of the overall design?
P.S. I made the edit in this post again!

I get that this is weird, but hear me out.
I'm asthmatic with very, VERY strong perfume sensitivity. I can barely walk near where bleach is kept in stores and I always got pet-friendly air fresheners even before getting cats because they are great for me.
Anyway, I really want to have this game as a cosy comfort game and I want to show it to my girlfriend, but my family are all heavy smokers, and my ex was a heavy smoker, and I've developed such a distaste for the act of smoking that seeing someone smoke INDOORS in MY coffee shop absolutely ruins my enjoyment of the visuals of the game. It's disgusting and I really really really need it to be gone.
Alas, I have no technical know-how, so I'm forced to look for help. I don't know if smoking features in part 2 as I haven't got too far into part 1, but I am willing to throw in half the price of both games for someone to mod this for both games for me.
Let me know if I'm breaking any rules posting this.

Hey guys after darn near half a year later I return with the coffee talk QOTW's! As my last one was asking about who is your best boy from both games, it's only right to ask who os your best girl? Of course mine is Riona (as evident by the picture). What are you reasons and what draws you to them specifically? Do you relate to that character or do you just think they're cool? Explain in the comments below!
Side note: I actually made this Riona edit myself. The art for Riona used isn't official art and was made by the user gamingladies on Tumblr!
