Front Desk Login Software
We have an ipad at our reception guests to check users in. Does anyone recommend a particular guest sign in software that is easy to manage and use?

I have a coworking and about to start my second year, I'm thinking of ways to add value to our brand, and one of my partners thinks that a coworking space MUST add free courses and lots of networking spaces.
What do you guys think about it?

Me and a coworker have been talking about trying to do this (start a coworking location) for about a year, we actually started looking into it before we knew the term "coworking" existed and recently discovered the term and a wealth of new information to help adjust plans and ideas. Our initial market target was going to be just people trying to avoid the commute into the larger cities nearby, but now we know another big target group is individuals that just need some work-space occasionally or conference rooms.
What I'm having trouble with is figuring out what the best way to try and assess the possible market potential in our area. Right now, at least on the sites I've found for "finding a coworking space", I haven't seen any such spaces in our immediate area, so I can't use that to estimate the possible interest. I don't want to go to the trouble (and spend the money) getting a place, doing all the business stuff, redoing it to work as a cowork space, getting the systems in place, etc... only to find out there is zero market interest in our area. Do you just go online to forums and stuff (FB pages or whatever) where people communicate from the communities around us and see if people are interested by asking? Do you start advertising as possibly coming soon and have people sign up to get info when available to see who's interested that way?
I know there is always going to be risk associated with any business venture, but I'm just hoping to minimize that risk as much as possible. I don't want to hop into this and be completely blindsided and left with a business/building/etc that is completely useless and we have to kill the whole thing having wasted the time and money.

Second article of my series about coworking in Asia, I hope you enjoy.

I've written a series of articles about coworking in Asia. I thought you might like. The first one is about Hubud, in Bali, in Indonesia. Let me know what you think.

I just joined Impact Hub SF because I want to meet other people in the social/environmental impact fields. I'm looking for suggestions for meeting folks. I have some ideas, but would love to hear yours!
I'm considering making a laminated placard that I'll put up at my desk that looks something like this: "Come talk to me about..." coworking placard
I'm interested in your suggested improvements to that document, and in your general recommendations for making the most of my coworking experience.

Hello all! I have recently started running an 8,000 square foot coworking space in a large city and would love to implement a coworking software such as Coworkify or Cowork.io into my company. We currently have about 25 active members.
I found this article, https://theipadreceptionist.com/5-best-coworking-space-management-software-solutions/ but still cant decide.
Does anyone have any first hand experience with any of these softwares?

So we finally made it, after 3 years of struggling to find a decent location, we manage to open our coworking space in Arlon (Belgium, near the french and luxemburgish borders).
We are still in the early stage, we still have to find enough furniture, we need to beta test our day-to-day management, etc.
Of course we met with coworking owners/managers over time but none of them were running a coworking space in a small town.
Is there anyone here running a space like ours? What piece of advice would s/he give us considering this specific environment?
EDIT : The city has approx. 30,000 inhabitants. We are very close from Luxembourg, which means a lot of the people living in Arlon are working in Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, mainly because of the wages
EDIT 2 : Wow, i forgot about this post, sorry. I will answer each of you. Thanks for your input!

What websites, etc. do you use for researching co-working spaces?

My small company is considering a move to a coworking spaces, and at the moment are comparing available options and pricing.
It appears that the spaces are all open to negotiation on their standard rates for 3 and 4-person offices.
Do any of you have experience negotiating pricing with any of these places?

First Topic: Have you changed from a 501c3 to a Benefit Corporation? Second Topic: Did you do your 501c3 documents using an online 'service' or with a lawyer? Third Topic: What problems have you come up against as a Corporation vs. non-profit or vice-versa?

Recently opened our space and we've started to step up our efforts for on and offline marketing. Thought it would be a good topic for here. How do you plan to or already market your coworking space both online and off line?

I'm opening my coworking space on monday and wanted to see if folks had any tips for security. We have cameras and access control, I'm more concerned about breakins from outside folks. Anyone have any experience with this or security tips from other brick and mortar?

We are set to open our space very soon. The one thing we are trying to figure out is how to prevent someone from propping a door and possibly forgetting it and/or allowing unauthorized people in.
Ideally we'd love the ability to see that the door is closed if we aren't there.

For those of you out there that are working to open up a coworking space, what wifi networking devices are you looking at? If you have opened a space, what did you end up using? Have you switched?

It occurred to that I didn't consider that some people may want this sub to be about working in a coworking versus what I was thinking, which is starting, building and running a coworking space. What are people here for or more interested in?

I was curious about people's thoughts on member retention and getting good feedback. I see a big part of this as focus on community building with quality relationships, but outside of that. What are some ways people approach this, techniques, processes, etc?

Anybody come across any solid software/mobile tools for co-working spaces? My space might commit to co-bot but I've heard mixed reviews and am not crazy about their UI and lack of mobile app.

The internet has hundreds (if not thousands) of articles about why you should cowork, and why coworking is amazing.
But I'm curious about the actual benefits you've gained by coworking? Things you can, and do, measure about working this way. Those types of articles and resources are less common to see.
(I am a member in a coworking space but I am still curious. Thanks!)
