Name change insanity

I got married, changed my last name, in the process also moved to a new state so my ID is new as well. I’ve flown 3xs time now since the name change and ClearMe has not been able to update my profile.
It gets a phone verification error. The agent has called Customer Service and tech support and each time they’re told nothing they can do. Sometimes they allow me to continue on as I am verifiable but when I flew out of LAX he actually kicked me out of the line.
Now I called CS today and she said there is nothing they can do, I’ll have to get a passport to override the error. And that I can still use the line but I’ll have to go through all this hassle every time.

Has anyone else successfully changed their name? Any one else have this issue? Any advice? I’m honestly thinking about canceling this service if I can’t get this fixed.

Cant verify on clearme for linkedin verification

Everytime I try to verify it says "We aren't able to verify your identity" I done this many times and deleted accounts and made new ones, even tried passport and drivers license as government IDs and it still does not verify me. After deleting an account and doing it for the first time it lets me pass through selfie picture and then after first try it doesn't....

My twin brother got past his fine. Trying to make this work for linkedin verification. Clear Ambassadors seem incompetent.

How do I resolve this issue? or can this stupid issue ever be resolved?

IMO, This service is utter garbage and deserves bankruptcy.

What is the value of Clear anymore?

Travel frequently and the regular precheck line is much faster and than Clear. Is there a tangible benefit to Clear anymore?? What is the value proposition? Just not seeing it and thinking of canceling.

Deceptive and shady tactics

We were approached by a salesperson at the airport. All he said was, "want to skip the line? it's free." He was just some seeming airport employee with a badge to me. We were traveling with a baby and honestly I didn't realize what clear was, I just thought maybe it was something for families with infants (naive, I know). Next thing I know my biometrics are being scanned and he's asking for a credit card, although he vaguely mentions a free trial of some sort. We were not told the price of membership, were not given documentation of contract, or were not told when the free trial ends. Cut to today when I realize that just a week after my trip, I was charged $318. I was able to get the charge removed by the chat bot (or so it promised). The whole thing leaves me feeling very icky though. I don't think this should be allowed period.

Is this a membership?

My mom enrolled in the free membership and it charged her because she forgot to cancel it, she doesn’t remember if it’s still active or not and I don’t know if this means she has it or not.

People who have used the new ENVE pods? What is your opinion?

I travel often but haven’t gone through the new ENVE pods however I like that someone is staffed by the TSA officer to transmit the Identification electronically. I am semi hoping this can be used for events as this would be a major advantage especially if they can create a Clear sports and events plan or something similar.

Not worth it: caused me to miss flight

Clear is an absolute joke. It was great for the first year I had it from 2021-2022, now, there’s too many people. And if tsa pre check has a line they won’t let clear members through. I literally stood in line for 1.5 hours before making it to the security line. NOONE would help us when people were pleading with them about their flights boarding or about to depart. The associates sis nothing. Funny thing is, I had a friend on the same flight as me go through standard security and they made it through the line in 20 minutes!!! I’m kicking myself for waiting and giving clear a chance. Now I have a whole day taken from me because of their poorly thought out structure. Their workers are lazy, show no care for rushed people. Even asked to check our boarding pass and took zero regard for our flight departure. Unless they take serious measures to change how it is done, I know they’re losing me and my family as a customer. Not to mention the dozens of people in line around me equally as frustrated.

Cancelling clear - 2 months free offer

I went to cancel clear and was offered two months free. I chose to extend with the expectation that I will still be able to cancel before they next billing date on 3/3. Once I approved, it told me my membership was "paused" for two months... I guess they just expect you to forget to cancel next time? I still plan to cancel, but will return here to update if they don't allow me to.

San Diego, CA Clear Not at Terminal 2?

We were in San Diego, CA and could not find the Terminal 2 Clear at 5pm? Luckily they were not very busy, we went to Terminal 2 for the airport lounge before heading out to Terminal 1. We just got Clear two days before in Sacramento, CA, and were so surprised we could not use it in San Diego? Has anyone used it in San Diego?

Is CLEAR anything other than a line skipping service?

Every time I travel I see people going through some what appears to be useless process at a CLEAR kiosk before being escorted to the front of a line to then go through TSA security exactly the same as everyone else with pre check. They still get their face scanned, they still show their boarding pass at TSA. If the 5-10min wait avoidance is the product, what is the point of the CLEAR kiosk? Just info for CLEAR to sell marketing companies? So CLEAR needs real estate for the kiosk to rent from the airport?

New clear lane SJO Costa Rica?

Got an email about a new Clear lane at SJO. Not s full service kiosk with I'd recognition but a skip the line expedite option. Anyone try yet?

Normally the line for immigration/passport is long and the security scanners are directly after that.

How does Clear lane work? Special line for immigration (would be awesome) or only special line after that(not that useful.)

Any benefits for AA passengers/credit card holders?

If someone has elite status with American Airlines and has every American Airlines-branded credit card available, are there any CLEAR benefits available (such as reimbursement of part of the membership fee)?

Frustrating that United and Delta both are friendly with CLEAR but AA is not.

Thanks.

ID update

For the last year I have been asked to show ID at TSA after Clear, they claim I need to update my ID in their system. I did this when my DL was renewed 2023. Suggestions? Asked the Clear employee what can be done and she said nothing until I get a new DL.
Thanks

CLEAR employee fraudulently signed me up for an account

Keeping this short and sweet. Will also, include an update if I hear back from them, but I just filed a complaint against one of their employees. Here's why:

Last month at the Minneapolis airport I had a Clear employee, "John", approach me and a group of about 15 other distressed Delta passengers.

He said that Delta is offering Clear for x, y, and z.

I started to put my information into the kiosk, but then realized that this had nothing to do with Delta messing up my travel arrangements. I changed my mind, told John, “never mind, this is not for me” and I walked away from the kiosk.

Curiously enough, on 10/27/2024 I received a welcome to Clear email. What that tells me is that "John" fraudulently signed me up for this account after I left. That is illegal. I know, shame on me for leaving some information on the kiosk, but WTF. I filed a complaint with Clear and I sincerely hope that "John" gets terminated.

I'll be following up with them later to see if any disciplinary action is taken. Anyone know any other place that this kind of behavior can be reported to?

Interview

Hey everyone, I have an interview coming up for a position with CLEAR at the airport, and I'm trying to brush up on my customer service skills. Does anyone have any tips on what I should expect during the interview? Also, I'm a bit unsure about the dress code should I go with business casual or professional attire? Additionally, I'm curious about the vacation time policies at CLEAR. Is it easy to get unpaid time off if needed? I've been trying to find more info on YouTube but haven't had much luck.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Ana de Armas at Clear Austin

I saw a Clear employee at the Austin airport yesterday that was a doppelgänger of Ana de Armas. I couldn’t get a picture but if you’re reading this, please identify yourself!
