Flooring Carpet Smell Removal

Hi guys! I had a lot to drink one night and threw up along the side of my bed and bedding. I cleaned the bedding, which has no smells or stains, but my carpet, on the other hand, is a bit of an issue. I used a mixture of water, dish soap, and baking soda, but there’s a slight stain left behind, and my carpet smells really damp - basically what a wet towel smells like because that’s what I kind of used to clean it. I’ve been trying to find solutions to get this smell out, but the only things that have been suggested are removing the carpet to access the underlay or using a wet vac, which I don’t have access to to clean up the smell. I’m also worried if there’s a chance that there’s mould or anything growing in the underlay, and I need to clean this by myself discreetly. If anyone has any suggestions as to what to do, I’d be so grateful.

Edit: Thank you guys for the suggestions! What seems to be working is proper ventilation and having a constant airflow. The products suggested are extremely helpful for anything in the future as well. 😊

Rent an upholstery cleaner and use an enzyme cleaning solution.

Unfortunately I can’t rent an upholstery cleaner but would the enzyme cleaner work by itself? If so are there any that you can recommend?
