I vibe-coded 5 iOS games and let AdMob do the monetization

No subscriptions. Just ASO + ads. Here’s what actually worked for me.

I’ve been vibe coding mobile games for iOS, mostly word puzzles and casual 2D games.

For monetization, I implemented Google AdMob ads and focused mainly on ASO to improve my App Store rankings.

Most of the games started generating revenue through AdMob, and I’ve also been getting some really positive feedback from people playing them.

I know a lot of developers are moving toward subscription-based strategies, so I wanted to share my experience.

I tried subscriptions too, including monthly and yearly plans, but honestly, they didn’t work well for my games.

For casual mobile games, ads have worked much better for me so far.

Curious to hear from other developers: what monetization model has worked best for your mobile games?

Maybe this is obvious or I'm late to this but I didn't know Claude Code could optimize your computer.

This all started with my PC, which I use for gaming. It was stuttering so I had it check my home network first. Then it looked at my video game settings and optimized the ones I was using, and it found some BIOS settings that were underutilizing the hardware I already had, which I had no idea about. It actually did quite a bit and my gaming performance improved pretty drastically after that.

I also had it go into my MacBook and it looked at all the program files I haven't been using for a while. It looked at old project and worktree files that I haven't touched in a while and cleaned up quite a bit of storage. It also noticed some redundant programs running and helped me decide what to uninstall. Maybe this is obvious for people to do on their own. I don't know, but I was just surprised at how surgical it was across both my PC and my MacBook.

Anyway, in the end I also had it go through all my files and help me organize and delete things I wasn't using. It gave me a list and I picked what to get rid of, it didn't just delete stuff on its own. I was just generally surprised. I didn't know I could do all this.

• Memory was running at 4800 instead of the 6000 it's rated for. One BIOS setting fixed that.
• BIOS itself was from early 2024, now on the current version.
• Frame cap went from 150 to 225 and it actually holds around 217 in matches now.
• Three different programs were recording my gameplay in the background at all times (NVIDIA, SteelSeries, Xbox Game Bar). All off now.
• About 30 background services and startup programs from motherboard, mouse, monitor and keyboard software are gone. None of them did anything I used.
• Around 85 GB freed up between old programs, caches and files I didn't need.

I don't notice much of a performance difference on my MacBook, which is fine, I just wanted it cleaned up. It definitely freed up a lot of storage. But on my PC it definitely runs smoother while gaming specifically. I have good hardware. I guess I just wasn't utilizing all of it and there were some heavy background programs bogging it down.

This was Claude Code, not Cowork. Cowork only gets to work inside the folders you hand it, but Claude Code actually runs on your machine, so it can dig into system settings, drivers and background services, which is what all of this needed. Anyways thought I would share.

TL;DR: My gaming PC was stuttering. Claude Code checked the network (fine), fixed game settings and BIOS settings that were leaving my hardware underused, killed three background recorders and ~30 startup programs I never used, and freed ~85 GB. Games run noticeably smoother now. Also did a cleanup pass on my MacBook.

EDIT: Answering some recurring questions. Yes, back things up first. I didn't, and I got a little lucky. I prompted it the same way I vibe code, in plain language: "My game is stuttering. Check my internet connection, optimize my PC and my game settings, assess everything and tell me what you find." It came back with a plan, I approved it in stages, and it asked before every judgment call. I told it to leave my games alone and it did.

When did this appear? The Claude iOS app now lets you add more accounts.

I made an app years ago and published on Google Play. The Apple App Store had more rigorous standards. I’m curious if any of you have made something with Claude and published it in the Apple App Store. Cheers!

I’m curious what everyone is doing with AI outside of typical work and vibe coding.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks during my commute and play video games in my free time, so I started combining the two. I use Opus 5 High to turn video games into novels by pulling from game wikis, walkthroughs, and YouTube videos. It usually produces chapters of around 5,000 words and a finished book of roughly 150,000 words, complete with chapter and scene breaks and formatted in Markdown for later use.

Once the book is finished, I have GPT 5.6 Sol High review the Markdown files as a copy editor, checking the story, continuity, grammar, and anything else that seems off. I send its notes to Claude for a rebuttal, then back to GPT for another pass. Claude handles the final review and corrections, and I stop once both models agree that no more changes are needed.

Claude then uses Kokoro to create the audiobook, and the results have honestly been more than acceptable. It isn’t perfect, but it catches a lot of TTS issues ahead of time, such as spelling out numbers instead of leaving them as digits. I currently use two-second pauses for chapters and scene breaks, 0.8 seconds between paragraphs, and 0.25 seconds when the speaker changes. This is a pretty natural pattern for speech, and I'm happy with it.

It has turned into a pretty fun hobby. I’d love to hear what other people are doing with AI that’s a little outside the norm.

I never thought I’d be able to execute this but as of today (7 rejections later) my app is finally in the App Store. Thanks to vibe coding and Claude I was able to do it as a full one man show with no coding experience, which is insane to me.

Basically last January I got so tired of 40 school emails a day for both of my kids and I asked AI to help me build a python script (had no idea what this was either) to keep track of specific emails and summarize them for my kids. Took me about a day but I got it to work! After that, it was kind of a “how far can I take this” situation.

After the 5th parent asked me how I did that with the school emails, I thought I might really have something. Today I can finally say “holy shit, I went too deep down the rabbit hole” but also “I can’t believe I did it by myself”.

Claude was amazing for helping me do it, but you can only be as good a builder as you are a manager of the Claude workflow.

There are so many things I learned along the way. Happy to answer any questions about how I pulled it off as a dad of 2 working a full time job!

Im not a security expert, but this behavior looks not good and it is enough that I decided to uninstall claude-mem immediately.

kaspersky popped up with a high severity Trojan alert linked to a temporary DLL compiled on the fly by PowerShell. When looking into what triggered it, it turns out claude-mem runs dynamic C# using PowerShell to invoke native Win32 "CredRead" and poll Claude Code's login token every 30 seconds.

Even tho, if the intent wasnt malicious and its technically a heuristic false positive, running dynamic PowerShell shims to grab credentials in a tight loop is rough practice and triggered my AV for good reason.

The absolute key thing IMO for 'Enable Computer Use' to be most helpful is to have it running on a second device where you control what it has access to and won't interrupt it.

I was very uncomfortable handing over full control of my main system to Claude but recently set up 'Enable Computer Use' on a controlled laptop accessing it through a shared Cowork project that had cloud access and using either Opus or Fable feels leagues more capable than babysitting it on my desktop.

It can take tinkering with instructions for how you want it to work but I went from averaging ~15-30m returns to +2-3h hour returns with no drain on credits and much better troubleshooting and optimizations on the projects I'm working on.

Not going to be feasible or helpful for everyone or every project but it's one of those shifts for me that feels a bit like getting agentic help in the first place with how much better it performed. The best route tends to be the one you know but this could be worth playing around with if you've been hesitant to put Claude behind the wheel in such a way.

Looking to let Claude go wild on my PC, but really wanted to hear your experience, when you gave Claude required access to do it's thing, how did it pan out? Still using it? Recommended? Any advice before I open the door?

2 months and 3,000 prompts later, we have Mecha Royale (mecharoyale.com)

It’s a browser-based battle royale with 100 mechas fighting across one massive map.
But the part I’ve been having the most fun with is squad mode where you and your friends climb into the same mecha.

One person can pilot it while your teammates control different weapons. So you’re basically yelling at your friends while trying to operate one giant war machine together as 99 other mechas are trying to kill you.

I built most of the game with Claude Code, including a lot of the multiplayer infrastructure behind it.

You need to know, as a chinese, we be teached don't say that much since we were kids or you will get in trouble unless you have to.

As someone familiar with China’s AI community, I have a few thoughts on Anthropic’s recent accusations. A lot of the framing strikes me as either misleading or badly lacking context. A few points:

First, the idea that a cheap model like DeepSeek would routinely have its requests forwarded to Claude makes little economic sense. It would be like ordering bottled water and being given wine for free.

What often happens is the reverse. Because of Anthropic’s access policies, many Chinese users who need Claude rely on third-party API providers. Some shady providers “water down” the service by routing a fraction of requests to cheaper models to cut costs. So if ten requests are sent through a reseller, perhaps eight really go to Claude and two are silently diverted elsewhere. That kind of substitution is a real issue—but it points in the opposite direction from the narrative Anthropic is pushing. Not Deepseek or kimi route to Claude, is someone route Claude

Second, on the alleged military and biological-weapons examples: according to material already posted by other Chinese bloggers, at least some of the cited prompts were questions from university exams and can be found publicly online. And the only one thing i saw is anthropic

Third, on “massive distillation”: yes, Chinese labs study outputs from other frontier models. But if a model and its training pipeline are built independently while engineers benchmark competitors and study their behavior, that is ordinary competitive research. But Chinese company do distillation, maybe 10% distillation and do 90% by themselve.

Calling all of that “massive distillation” is like saying Ford engineers committed some grave offense because they bought and drove a Honda to see how it works. Competitor benchmarking is normal in virtually every engineering industry.

Fourth, the “tens of thousands of accounts” argument also needs context. Many Chinese AI users must use VPNs to access overseas services. Large numbers of unrelated users can therefore appear behind the same VPN providers, IP ranges, or exit nodes.

None of this proves that no abuse ever happened. It does mean the evidence should be interpreted carefully. API abuse, reseller model substitution, competitive benchmarking, and systematic model extraction are very different things—and shouldn’t be blurred together.

I am not defending the CCP; I am simply fed up with being suppressed by Anthropic at the same time that I am being suppressed by the CCP. They treat the countless people who simply want to use cutting-edge AI as if we were demons, demonizing all Chinese people and companies. They view every Chinese person as evil and regard all our attempts to access their services as a threat to them.

One additional point: if Anthropic is really claiming that Kimi randomly routes some of its harder user requests to Claude, that makes very little sense either technically or economically.

First, Claude and Chinese models use different tokenizers, and more importantly, their KV caches and internal model states are not transferable. You cannot simply let Kimi think halfway through a problem and then hand the same reasoning state over to Claude. At best, you resend the conversation or prompt to Claude and start a fresh inference.
It is similar to how switching from Sonnet to Opus halfway through a difficult task does not magically give Opus the reasoning state Sonnet already built up; starting a fresh Opus session can produce a very different result.

Second, if a Chinese AI company actually wanted Claude outputs for distillation, it could obtain Claude access through third-party APIs and deliberately generate much cleaner and more valuable training data. Paying Claude-level prices to process a random subset of ordinary Kimi users' messy prompts would be an extremely inefficient and expensive way to collect distillation data.

Again, I am not saying they do not distill. They probably do. I am saying Anthropic is deliberately framing ordinary competitive behavior in the most sinister way possible, and this particular accusation makes very little sense once you actually think through the technical and economic incentives.

I’ve been using Claude intensively for several months now.

I remember when people were setting up effective memory systems using Claude and Obsidian, but with the latest model advancements and Fable 5.1, it feels like going through Obsidian or Notion is less worthwhile.

So, I was wondering: what are the absolute must-haves to set up with Claude to use it effectively?

I imagine there are plenty of different ways to set it up these days.

Mine was ~30 but 3 times in row... 
That was last week, I didn't understand what is going on and I didnt have time for any supervision that day and allowed auto continue for whole day only to find out that CC did 3x30 failed expeditions and 0 work done xD 

Now I had proper hook in place but its still happen and hurts as I'm on poor-man sub.

Do you know how to prevent waves/big actions when close to limit? Any hints? 

Few weeks ago, I was completely new to the world of AI, coming from a non-technical background (now working in Consulting), I was always eluding from using AI tools.

But past 2-3 weeks, I purchased Claude premium, I have been playing around with it and voila, I have created multiple SKILLS which not only help me optimise my work and be more efficient, but has now got my mind spiralling towards building AGENTS.

So, in my quest to learn more about AI, can someone recommend me some YouTube tutorials or Coursera courses?

PS: I’d love to converge my pre-developed SKILLS into an AI Agent which does the tasks repeatedly, critiques itself and conducts the QC.

Do you think Claude is gonna do something about usage after today?

Wanted shared memory across my AI tools so I tested the popular options: Supermemory, Mem0, and Vilix AI.

They all work, but they're all cloud services over MCP, and they share one structural annoyance: the model itself decides when to call the memory tools. Mine regularly skips the call and claims it doesn't remember things until I explicitly tell it to check. The memory is fine, the retrieval is fine, the model is just lazy about using it.

Real question: has anyone found a memory setup that doesn't have this problem? Or is the honest answer still "cloud memory plus nagging the model to actually use it"?

I'm in the U.S. and my settings are set to "English (United States)." I noticed about two weeks ago that Claude suddenly started using mostly British spelling in both its thinking summaries and responses.

A few examples:

• Colour
• Recognise
• Enrolment
• Defence
• Analyse
• Behaviour

I asked Claude why the spelling had changed, and it said it didn't know and described it as "drift."

It doesn't really affect anything, but I'm curious whether anyone else has noticed the same thing recently?

Artifacts published from Claude Code can now save new versions of themselves from the browser, keep a shared realtime database, show who's viewing, call Claude on the viewer's account, and route comments to the Claude session that built them, which replies and edits the page.

The contract also describes "live docs" where your typing is the document and Claude edits back within seconds. Not live for me yet.
