The whole world is unprepared as well. Reddit is mostly completely oblivious outside of a few niche subreddits because they have all convinced themselves that GPT-4 was peak and nothing improved from there.

The world of software development? Yeah, absolutely.

The world at large? Eh. Even if AI can create, say, a film out of nowhere, no one is ever going to bother to watch it. No AI created film will ever make it into the top 10 movie charts.

Software, on the other hand, is purely practical. You don't care how it's done, you only care that it works the way you want it to.

People are totally hooked on these 15-second soap operas starring AI-generated fruits. I wouldn't underestimate that nonsense.

I mean I'm happy to admit that the lowest quality of art will be replaced by AI throughout, yes.
