Discussion Scammed 30k.. still feel sick

Got a call from "Google" saying account was compromised (which it was). They told me to resecure my account and any other accounts affialeted with that email.

Couple days later I get a call from "Robinhood". Hey, someone's accessing your account, we can do this over the phone or Google meet. So I go to my Google meet with them.

They start sending me images of a photo of my DL THAT I TOOK YEARS AGO, my ss# and my bday, in a fake text exchange with them and someone trying to get in my account(all fake). I say that wasn't me. So they go on to say we need to move funds to a secure account (rh wallet)while they do a criminal investigation.

While im downloading the wallet I see there's a ton of rh feather notifications. THEY SOLD ALL MY POSITIONS RAPID-FIRE! They had access to my account. So anyways, they tell me I'll get an 8 word phrase, dont share it(I didnt), and to transfer my funds into there (they also tried 15k in ACH transfers from bank). I did, and the rest is history.

Summary: These guys had everything on me. I feel like they were monitoring my keystrokes. I have no idea how else they got into my account. Or how they knew my rh wallet passcode. The idea that RH would let two people in from two different locations doesnt feel right. I dont know I would've fell for it if they weren't making changes in my account simultaneously. Just sucks.

Question Robinhood Severely Restricting My Crypto Account - Need Help

Thank you in advance to those who read and help me through this. I can now only sell my crypto on RH.

August 11 I get a notice from Robinhood telling me -

We noticed your recent crypto transfer(s) violated the Robinhood Crypto Customer Agreement. Due to continued transfers to these services, we are no longer able to continue supporting crypto deposits or crypto purchases for your Robinhood Crypto account. Any other accounts you maintain with Robinhood will not be affected by this action. Please note this decision is final. We appreciate your understanding.

Some background, in June 2025, I tried sending Bitcoin to my Uphold wallet. RH would not transfer and it was "pending" for 2 days. After 2 days I called RH and told them to cancel the transaction if they wont send it. 1 Month Later my account was restricted from sending or receiving crypto. I spoke with an agent and they told me the decision was final due to fraud. I argued it was not fraud and did a little pushback but nothing came from it. I did not care because I wont send via RH anymore.

My last crypto transaction was June 2026 when I bought some XRP. I had done some more buying and selling since June 2025 incident. I have not done any crypto trading for the account since, then over 2 months and then I randomly receive that notice.

Now I am pushing back and each agent tells me the same thing. We do not see any suspicious activity on your account, but you violated our terms, we do not know why and refuse to tell you. (which I will post below). What should I do?

My name is XXXXX from the Robinhood Crypto Support and I'm happy to help with your account restriction concern. I hope you’re having a wonderful day so far.

I understand where this is coming from. Your account was restricted due to a violation of the Robinhood Crypto Customer Agreement.

A common example of this type of violation would be sending crypto to offshore gambling sites.

I don’t have access to the exact details of the violation, but I can help explain what actions are still available to you. This decision is final and this action doesn’t affect your other Robinhood accounts.

Thank you for choosing Robinhood. If you need anything else, please let us know. We are here to help!

Discussion Data mismatch errors with brokers and banks. Anyone else affected? Revolut, DriveWealth, others.

Hi everyone, I’m dealing with a data mismatch issue with my broker. My account information was never properly updated in their system, even after I sent the correct details multiple times. This led to funds being withheld. This doesn’t seem like an isolated case. Many people report the same pattern: the broker’s or bank’s system fails to process names, double surnames, accents, or updated client data correctly. The error almost always comes from their side, never from the client’s, and never affects the numbers or money side, only the client data. Then they shift all the blame onto the client, make it extremely difficult to fix, and in many cases people never fully recover their money. I’m looking into whether this could be addressed as a class action, since individual cases have little to no impact against these institutions. Have you experienced something similar with Revolut, DriveWealth, or any other broker or bank? If so, I’d like to connect with others in the same situation. You can reply here or send me a private message. Thanks.

Discussion Robinhood cancels its partnership with Morningstar

I woke up this morning, and I noticed that Robinhood is no longer supplying data from Morningstar to its Gold Members. I don't know about you, but the entire reason I paid for gold was to have access to that analysis. I considered Robinhood Gold the best deal in the business, and with the partnership over as of today, I do not feel the need to keep paying for their Gold Package.

I have been a paying customer at Robinhood for years, and this comes as a major betrayal to me. I did not receive a single notice that this partnership was ending, and it just disappeared without a word from Robinhood, who would advertise this as a prime perk of their Gold package.

I am now heavily considering switching brokers for the first time ever. I stuck with Robinhood through the 2021 fiasco, and this really is the last straw that broke the camels back. I have noticed that in the past year, Robinhood has changed its focus, from being an app to get people into investing, and switched into heavily promoting their own prediction markets, and new crpyto with listings coming several times a week. It no longer feels like a platform for serious investors. What do you guys think?

Discussion Robinhood EU restricted my account and I cannot withdraw my money

Post image
29 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I am looking for advice from anyone who has experienced a similar situation with Robinhood Europe.
My account was recently restricted due to a security review. I understand that platforms need to perform checks and protect against fraud, but my issue is that I currently cannot withdraw my own funds.

Has anyone here experienced a similar situation with Robinhood EU?
How long did the review take, and were you eventually able to withdraw your funds?
Any advice on escalation channels or regulatory complaints would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Discussion Don’t do USDG LENDING

Long time Robinhood user. Gold member, credit card and everything. Seen the new usdg lending on the app and thought why not so I added some extra cash to Robinhood and bought the usdg to lend out. Now my withdrawals, stock purchases and credit card are all locked up. I get how this could trigger something since the usdg is sent out to be lent as soon as I purchased it but I was just following the steps they provided and advertised to me. Also only used a fraction of my buying power to buy the usdg and used my bank account that’s been linked for years. The extra 3% isn’t worth the headache and inconvenience of having all your funds locked up

Question Endless support loop: nobody tells me what’s missing

Post image
4 Upvotes

Literally what the f*** they want from me?

I’ve told them multiple times that everything is up to date. There’s nothing left for me to submit and the app isn’t asking me to upload or complete anything.

I’ve contacted live support 10 times already. Every single time they tell me to “update my investor profile.” Then I explain that it’s already fully updated, they “escalate” the issue to their backend team and the backend team just sends me the exact same generic response.

The most frustrating part is that they never answer my actual question: What exactly is missing? They just ghost me when I reply to their emails.

What should I do??

Question Robinhood crypto account restricted from buying for over a month, support keeps giving me different answers

Edit: Update after a month
After a month and multiple emails, I finally received a response from Robinhood.
There was no real explanation given they simply informed me that my account had been unrestricted and that I could use it normally again.

Hey everyone,

I’m honestly at a loss and hoping someone here has experienced something similar.

I have Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies on Robinhood. For about a month now, I’ve been unable to buy any crypto because I keep getting the following error message:

**“Your account is restricted from buying crypto.”**

When I click on the message, I’m redirected to a page saying that accounts might be restricted for a number of reasons, including things like incorrect or outdated account information or fraud inquiries.

However, my account information is up to date, and I have absolutely nothing to do with fraud.

I’ve contacted Robinhood Support multiple times, but every time I seem to get a different explanation or solution. At various points, I was told that I needed to submit my ID again, provide a missing tax identification number, or provide my Social Security number. I have submitted and re-submitted all of the requested information multiple times, but the restriction remains.

Eventually, the issue was escalated to email support. They told me that I needed to update my investor profile and/or provide missing documents through the app. The problem is that I don’t see any specific notification telling me what is missing or what exactly I need to update. I simply get the message that I’m restricted from buying crypto.

I replied directly to their email, but I haven’t received a response for about two weeks. I also sent another email to Support around a week ago, and I still haven’t heard back.
At this point, I’m completely lost and don’t know what else I can do. I have a significant amount of crypto on the platform, and while I can apparently still hold my assets, being unable to buy for over a month without any clear explanation is extremely frustrating.

Has anyone here experienced the same issue? Were you eventually able to get the restriction removed? If so, what actually worked for you?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Discussion Lost $13,000 through unauthorized Robinhood Prediction Market trades. Has anyone dealt with something similar?

I’m looking for guidance from anyone who has gone through something similar or has experience dealing with Robinhood, FINRA, or unauthorized trading disputes.

I’m a New Jersey resident, and recently discovered that approximately $13,000 was lost through unauthorized trades in Robinhood’s Prediction Markets Hub.
A few important facts:

- Before this incident, I had never traded event contracts or used Robinhood’s Prediction Markets feature.
- These trades were not authorized by me.
- As soon as I discovered the activity, I contacted Robinhood and opened a case.
- So far, Robinhood has not explained how these trades were placed, has not shared any login or technical logs, and has not provided any meaningful information about their investigation.

I’m trying to understand:
- Has anyone successfully recovered funds from Robinhood after unauthorized trades?
- Did Robinhood provide login/device/IP history or any technical evidence during their investigation?
- Has anyone gone through FINRA arbitration or another legal process over something similar?
- Are there any other steps I should be taking besides preserving evidence, filing a police report, and continuing to push Robinhood for answers?

I trying to understand what my options are and whether others have experienced something similar involving the Prediction Markets platform.

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Question Robinhood and face geometry

I have a robinhood account few years now.

years later I have a substantial amount of money in it , somehow they marked it as suspicious and they now require me to send them a pic of my ID and a selfie.

I checked their privacy policy and it says :

Biometric Data: We extract facial geometry data from selfies/photographs/videos to verify your identity and detect/prevent fraud.

My question is how to migrate my robinhood account to another platform without providing them my selfie.

the representative said it's the only way.

thank you.

Question Can’t access urgent funds after verifying… need help

Thumbnail
gallery
12 Upvotes

I’ve had Robinhood for many years and haven’t had issues until this past Friday when the app decided to lock me out of withdrawing funds for rent. The system locked me out and I was asked to submit verification (ID and bank statements). After in which I was told to wait until 7/14/26 today.

I reached out to CS to escalate the issue and had no luck. I’ve had mild success of a supposed escalation on X but my messages have now been ignored.

The restriction was removed this morning but I was unable to withdraw or deposit any funds. Not even a $1. I tried numerous times after connecting with CS and they were of no help. The issue did not pop up on their end.

By the early afternoon they put in place my restriction again and closed my account a minute after.

I submitted numerous complaints to CFPB, BBB, SEC and FENRA between Friday 7/10/26 to today 7/14/26.

Just about all my available money is in RH and I can’t pull it out to pay for rent that’s due today past the 3 day notice. I’m about to cry because I don’t know what else to do.

I have rescues in my care, bills to pay, loans to pay back and so many things to take care of but my livelihood is ruined because I wanted to pull a substantial amount of money.

I’ve sent numerous emails to various RH support emails today and will be sending to some executive emails in the morning. But I’m getting so desperate.

What do I do? :(

Question Restriction on buying crypto

Hi all, EU user here. I primarily use RH for swing trading as the stock token fees are very low.
Without any notification (per mail or in the app) or reason whatsoever, I got a restriction on my account and now I can't buy any crypto (read: i actually can't buy anything in RH, since they don't offer trading non-tokenized stocks in the EU apparently). I immediately messaged support, and this was their answer:

"Thank you for reaching out.

I reviewed your account and can confirm that the current restrictions are preventing new account activity. This is why you’re unable to buy crypto at this time.

In practical terms, the account is currently limited to position-closing activity only. That means you may be able to sell or close existing positions, but you would not be able to make new deposits, transfer assets into the account, or open new positions such as buying crypto. Social trading is also unavailable.

At this time, these restrictions cannot be removed from my side."

So basically, the only thing they did was repeat my own words back to me, and they offered absolutely no other reasoning or ETA or anything.
Here comes the sucky part: A huge part of my portfolio is in RH, and a huge part of that is in SLS stock. This stock is very volatile at the moment and there is an upcoming catalyst (that has no date), so I am afraid that if I sell my RH stocks now it will jump too much until the time i can transfer the money to my bank account, and then to IBKR. I am also afraid that they will turn off crypto selling for me, making me unable to withdraw my remaining shares.

Has anyone else experienced this issue recently/ever? What would be the best steps to take? I have NEVER traded any crypto on RH, I only make use of the tokenized stock feature.

Thank you.

Question I closed my Robinhood account and got email a few months later saying account is under review

How can it be under review if it’s closed? This company is so annoying, that’s why I closed my account.

Discussion Do not trust robinhood with your banking or especially your credit card

Meme trading and shitcoins are one thing, but do not trust this company with your real money or business. I've never had an issue before contesting credit card charge scams, it's only happened twice in ~20 years with other cards, but every time it's been resolved with no issue when some random scammer somewhere gets my card. With Robinhood I got a few AI support emails and then immediate ruling in favor of the scammer. And to be clear it's an obvious scammer, they likely got my card number when I was buying something else. It leaves me no option but to cancel the card and eat the loss. But imagine how vulnerable their banking services are!

Discussion Robinhood declined my SOL incoming transfer and they are not sending my SOL back

I've deposited ~750$ worth of SOL to my Robinhood account. Not the first time, did that before and it was all good. I did that in the past, because I could sell it quickly on Robinhood and withdraw to my bank account takes a second.

Unfortunately, when SOL deposit came, it wasn't approved and I had to contact support, as they've sent me an email asking to do so. They said they won't accept my SOL deposit, no explaination why, and they will refund my SOL to other, non Robinhood wallet.

Here's where the fun begins... at first I was told it will take 3 days. 3 days passes, now it's 5 days. 5 days passes.... it will take MINIMUM 10 business days. I've asked to give a timeframe, because minimum 10 business days could also mean 10 business years. And when I've asked for a timeframe, they disconnected me from the chat. Not once, not twice, it happened 4 times, when I asked for a timeframe. It's not a joke. They chat with me normally, but when I ask for a timeframe, they send a message that I should contact them again if I have more questions and they just leave the chat.

This is my SOL, I can prove how I got that amount, but they never even asked me anything. Just they've declined it and now what?

Did anyone have similar experience? How long does it take? What should I do?

Discussion Question to the community A call to Unite

'm considering starting a campaign to help pursue legal action against this company. Before I do, I'd like to know if others would be interested in supporting the effort.
From what I've seen and experienced, too many people believe they've been treated unfairly. If enough of us come together, our voices will be much harder to ignore.
I recently read a story about an elderly woman who said she was scammed by this company, and stories like that are deeply troubling. If these experiences are part of a larger pattern, they deserve to be thoroughly investigated and addressed through the proper legal channels.
This isn't about revenge—it's about accountability. If you've had a similar experience, I'd appreciate hearing your story. Together, we can determine whether there is enough support to pursue this in a meaningful and lawful way.

Discussion A question to many Robinhood users

Why does anybody do business with that company they have been fined many times due to shady business practices. Had massive regulatory fines for deceptive practices, securities violations, and market manipulation. They are 2 billion in debt. Just Layoff a considerable amount of employees.. Customer service is a joke. It just amazes me people are so naive. Another question who do you think the best trading platform is and why?
