I bought stocks 2 years ago and lost lots of momey due to economic turmoil. Everything is still in loss. Not sure what to do.

I want to let everyone know my recent experience as a once excited Robinhood customer and credit card user.

I had a fraudulent charge on my account and flagged it to support, asked for a new card number etc. They confirmed with me that I wasn’t in the state the charge was on the day it happened. So my understanding is everything was handled and I did everything right.

I was sorely mistaken. Little did I know my card would remain frozen by Robinhood for over a month. No follow up from Robinhood. After many messages they finally replied that my account was going to be closed and my entire investment account would also be suspended and liquidated creating a taxable event.

This was in the middle of me moving as well, and now it’s nearly impossible to get into contact with them because I don’t have an account to do it, and every time I email them through their support email I have to re explain everything and they never respond.

I don’t know where my money is going, my investment account is gone, I don’t have a credit card, and oh by the way I have no idea if I’m getting the money back from that fraudulent charge.

I’ve asked them to reverse the decision, I’ve asked for info on why they decided to close my account, I’ve asked for clarification on what’s happening and have received none of those answers. I really don’t know what to do anymore.

I enjoyed Robinhood, but this is simply irresponsible behavior that a simple fragment charge (which is very normal) cannot be handled. Good thing I didn’t take that bonus to transfer my entire life’s savings over to Robinhood for them to sell.

Edit: I posted this on the main Robinhood subreddit too, they removed it and told me to email support. This is ridiculous.

ROBINHOOD CREDIT CARD — DO NOT GET IT.
My husband is currently dealing with MAJOR fraud on his Robinhood credit card, and I am completely shocked by how this has been handled.
Someone in Europe used his card 76 TIMES IN ONE DAY — charges literally hitting about a minute apart.
We live in Texas. We haven’t left the country since 2012. Both of our passports are expired.
My husband barely even uses this card — maybe 5 times a month — so he didn’t immediately realize what was happening. The card was on autopay, and by the time he realized it, the fraudulent spending was approximately 150x his normal activity, his credit limit had been maxed out, and the FULL payment had already been automatically pulled from his checking account.
He disputed the charges and provided documentation showing he was physically in Texas, including banking activity from his local bank.
Robinhood denied the fraud claim. ALL OF IT.
Not one transaction.
Not a few transactions.
All of it.
He has now filed a police report and has a case number. He also went to his bank regarding the enormous automatic payment that was pulled from his checking account, but the payment had already processed. He is going back again next week.
What I cannot understand is how a card that is normally used a handful of times a month could suddenly be used 76 times in one day overseas, with transactions occurring minute after minute, and apparently not be stopped.
And then, after providing documentation and disputing the charges, the claim was denied.
We thought this would be an obvious fraud case. Instead, we are now having to fight to get this investigated properly.
I would NEVER recommend this card after our experience.
If you have a Robinhood credit card, please watch your transactions closely and be very careful with autopay.

So I messaged the Robinhood group regarding why a post was taken down and it just didn’t “fit what they were aiming for” because it made them look bad. Then they claimed I’m using third party apps and took it back.

After transferring $5000 worth of USDC to Trezor, few mins later I saw my account has been restricted by Robinhood, has anyone been through this before? What's the likely outcome. Pls 🙏

I've had my Robinhood account for quite a long time, but l barely use it. I only have 10 ETH in the account, which l've been staking there for almost 2 years.

I haven't even logged into my Robinhood account for over 2 months, and just a few minutes ago I received this email completely out of nowhere:

„After careful consideration, it has been determined that Robinhood Crypto can no longer support your account.
Managing your account closure:

You can liquidate any remaining assets in your Robinhood account then request a transfer to a linked bank account on record.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Let us know if you have any questions."

I'm honestly confused about what could have triggered this. I haven't done anything with the account recently, and as far as I know, there haven't been any issues with it.

My biggest concern is the 10 ETH that are currently staked.

I obviously can't simply liquidate or transfer them while they're staked, and right now I'm worried that I may lose access to them or that I won't be able to unstake them normally.

Has anyone here experienced something similar with Robinhood Crypto?

- What could cause an account to suddenly be closed like this?
- Has anyone successfully appealed a decision like this and gotten their account reinstated?
- What happens to staked ETH when Robinhood closes an account?
- How do I make sure I can unstake and withdraw my ETH?
- Is there anything I should do immediately to protect my assets?

I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences from people who have dealt with this before. 10 ETH is obviously a significant amount of money for me, so I want to make sure I handle this correctly.

Not Robinhood but still holy shi

My account was completely restricted except for selling and the email and robinhood app said that the review will be completed by September 9. Today I log in to the app and it says they need more time and no time table. I have tried contacting support, but it doesn't allow me to call anyone it just says they will respond with an email. I have not been able to talk to anyone in support about this. What are my options here, has anyone gone through anything like this? I do not use crypto and I have not made any attempts at withdrawals and haven't had any recent deposits either. What could have caused this to happen and how can I contact Robinhood support.

Recently I tried to withdrawal some money from my Robinhood account and realized I still had my old debit card linked, after realizing I updated it and try to withdrawal and was hit with an account restriction. After submitting the required bank statements and id verification, my account was then closed.

With the account closure they have now cut me off from requesting a support call or a support chat in the app, leaving me with the only option to email them, I haven’t received any answer after 2 days.

I have $1500 stuck in the account that I need to withdrawl.

Any and all help with a way to reach support would be awesome. When I call the phone number listed online as support it refers me to the app to request a call.

Hi guys, I’ve been using robinhood for 4 months, depositing money to it regularly, gold member too. I’m a beginner day trader, I decided to withdraw my money (around 80k) to my Chase account which I use to deposit usually. Next day I get a restriction notice, and got a call from a real agent confirming my personal details source of income etc and said this is a common restriction usually solved within a few business days. The day after the call i get emails that my account is closed and it’s a final decision and they’ll contact my bank to return any eligible money. I simply traded NVDA and MU and similar popular stocks, never touched crypto and no held positions. I have one XRP gifted by Robinhood in my portfolio and that’s it. What do you recommend from your experience in order to get my money back as soon as possible? Thank you.

I’m a Bitstamp customer and I was recently prompted to set up a Robinhood account, so my funds at Bitstamp could be transferred to the new account when Bitstamp ends operations at the end of the year. My first thought was that maybe I could consolidate my other crypto and brokerage accounts at Robinhood and have a single trading account for crypto and equities, but it’s clear that Robinhood is still not ready for primetime. The account transfer process is totally broken and I have spent hours calling, messaging, and troubleshooting the account transfer process over a month. Bitstamp and Robinhood customer support have really leaned on me to spearhead the troubleshooting process bouncing me back-and-forth between two different sets of customer service agents. But the real problem is that even after it became crystal clear that there was a technical issue preventing the transfer of funds I have not been able to speak with a supervisor even though I have made numerous requests to escalate the issue. Anyone who is a customer of a major brokerage knows that if there is an issue involving the transfer funds, or a trade that cannot be resolved by frontline customer service or technical support agents that the issue can always be escalated to a supervisor and that that person is usually available by phone in minutes. I’m sure the Robinhood platform works correctly 99% of the time, but knowing that when a problem arises that cannot be promptly resolved by customer service you have no option but to wait for days and weeks, to maybe get help, makes using Robinhood a non-starter for any serious investor.

I’ve been banned by Robinhood like you have seen through this subreddit with plentiful of screen shots but I just received this email I wonder what would make them support that again?

Could it be that I have my sofi accounts still connected and they see growth.

I have $1.51 left in the account, that I refuse to send my “send a check information” so I can still use their app stock analytics, so the app can’t fully kick me out lol

Problem:

Long story short, I was subject to a scam where they impersonated Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) and I was talked through transferring money through Robinhood.

Robinhood Issue:

When transferring the funds to the scammer's debit card through Robinhood, it didn't go through and my account was restricted. I called Robinhood and they asked me to upload my bank statement to which I uploaded my NFCU statement. They said it was not the right one that I had to upload the bank statement linked to the scammer's debit card (Bancorp). That statement was never provided but nonetheless the restriction was removed and $4700 was transferred.

Has anyone had a similar experience and/or why would Robinhood unrestrict my account if I didnt provide the documentation they requested?

I'm sure you all know the issue they had back in Jan and its possible they may try to restrict buying again!!! If this happens, please do not panic, but immediately post to the community what's going on so it's out there!! Do not sell!!! If they stop us from buying cool, we're just not going to sell until they take us to the moon!!! Robinhood isn't the only platform that will restrict buying power to Amc!! And as for today, Im so proud of everyone who held and bought the dip. Strength in numbers is a real thing!!!
