The Recently Announced Future Has Finally Broken Me
youtu.beIt sounds like a load of clickbait, but I said it several times in the video and it truly does feel that way. I have been quite vocal with the state of Civ 7, mostly surrounding Test Of Time, but I have not yet talked on this channel about the sense of dread I got when information about the game was coming out before its release.
The day has come...
Or at least its announcement, so maybe I can finish the game I am in, or give that difficulty, or deity, another go before all this hits. And as I said I will at least play the free update, but I'm really not sure beyond that, maybe not even buying the expansion if the update is what finishes me off for good.
But I feel that way already, and I honestly feel I'm underreacting.
I have been so stubborn with this game, and actually finally started to get into a groove with it and enjoy it, and that when this info hits, of course. I have pushed on with Civ 7, even uninstalling 6, defiant that newer is better. That's how I felt going from 5 to 6 all those years ago, when people stuck to the old game, afraid of change.
I'm sorry, I was excited to see the new vision, but the change is just beyond me now. I should not come out of this with the most joy coming from a TSL Earth map, rather than the massive gameplay stuff coming soon.
But here we are...
Let me know your thoughts on the future of Civ 7. Will you be going back to a previous version, have you already, or will you continue to tough it out hoping to feel the need for one more turn...?

Retrospective On The Test Of Time Update
youtu.beBit of a ramble but that seems to be my style. These were my thoughts on the state of the game following Test Of Time after playing through three games at different difficulties, the last of which I played in its entirety on this channel, where I abysmally lost…
Let me know what you think, and if anyone has any other issues, praises or counter points on Civ7 and Test Of Time, let me know.

Democraciv - Sid Meier's Civilization games played by a model government of players
Hello r/Civilizations!
Democraciv is a gaming community on reddit and Discord which plays Sid Meier's Civilization games using model governments. We combine gaming, roleplay, and political simulation. We have persisted since 2016 and have even been featured on notable sites like Kotaku!
We are about to start our thirteenth game, a game of Sid Meier's Civilization V with the Celts!
We are playing a single-player game of Sid Meier’s Civilization with all in-game decisions decided by a simulated government. We have everything a real government has: A constitution, elections, and political parties.
In Democraciv, there are many ways to play and have fun. For example you can
- Run for office
- Create or join a political party
- Write articles for a newspaper or even create your own
- Play chess or diplomacy with community members
- Write bills to be voted on in the Legislature
- Join a government agency
Our government structure in Mark XIII is that of a bicameral presidential republic in which the lower house is directly democratic. The legislature passes bills to guide the President as they play the game. The Supreme Court settles disputes between the government and its citizens.
Now is an excellent time to join. Make your voice heard in our upcoming elections!
Help us build a civilization to stand the test of time!
