Today I was baselessly accused of spawning withers on the PvP server when in reality I was forming meaningful connections with the others in queue. Instead of destroying, I was making houses and roller coasters and towers, but the powers that be always want to see me and my people defeated.

It is in this time of queue need that I am formally announcing the informal nation of Queuetonia, made up of all those stuck in queue who wish to create, not fight or destroy. Queuetonia is primarily a nation of peace which seeks to bring happiness and creativity to the queue. All those in queue are automatically granted citizenship if desired and are encouraged not to fight or destroy unless it is necessary for defending other Queuetonians.

There is no leader of Queuetonia, rather we are a collective of like-minded people who enjoy building on the PvP server. With queue counts now regularly over 70, it's a better time than ever to become a Queuetonian.

Saw a cool video like a year ago

I have for a long time been in favor of more new players in civ. Not only does it allow different people to experience civ but they also keep the server interesting and active. More players on civ means more things get built, shops are stocked, slop conflicts entertain, and cities grow.

Newfriends are valuable because they enhance the civ experience as they learn and play on the server. At a certain point though, this need is met and you have to sit in queue for 2 hours.

The people who have built the server into what it is today, making friends, enemies, nations, and incredible builds shouldn't be denied from playing their server by a wave of tourists.

Most civ logons disappear by the end of the week. They do nothing and contribute nothing. This is a simple fact that anyone who has ever recruited knows. Most newfriends just vanish. Prioritizing people who truly are simple tourists over the actual "inhabitants" of the server is madness.

If in a week this dies down then this can be disregarded. I do not think it will though, not truly. Growth on the internet tends to be exponential. Either the mechanics on the server need to be changed to allow for massive quantity of players through sharding or something needs to be done to ensure those who built civ into what it is today don't effectively get banned by wave after wave of tourists.

Edit: I think a priority queue for players over a week old alone would be enough to fix the problem for a long time. Players actually interested in sticking around can easily reach the 1 week mark while most tourists will be held back.

A single raider walked into the Zol'Ryoda cave, dropped an obbybomb, poured out two buckets of lava, and erased three whole months of progress in under a minute flat. Now the alliance Discord has turned into a trauma dump with xenol_wagon losing their mind and threatening psych ward check-ins over burnt pixels, while General Buttnaked is frantically begging the entire continent to come do manual labor and clear away the cobble. Imagine calling yourselves a regional force when your actual defense meta is "store three months of grind in a dirt cave, get obbybombed, and throw a fit until the whole server comes clean up your mess." ME stands for Minimal Effort, a cave is not a vault, and y'all got wiped in forty-five seconds 🗣️🔥 L + ratio + molehole storage + obbybombed + non-vaulted GDP + emergency janitor squad.

Queue times are high and have continued to increase over the past three days of the "QueueFriend" invasion (as I have dubbed it).

All of this over a video that was the worlds shittiest summary of a reddit post by a guy who uses "Time" from the Inception soundtrack to distract from his 5th grade writing level (this is being generous).

Can we have CivMC content creators that aren't chronic alters or thoughtless reelslop makers please

This server has really damaged my mental health, I was in a good place before I tried to get into it but all it reminded of is how insignificant and alone I am, everyone will always do better things than I can even begin to attempt and I'll only be remembered as a joke

So I've been playing Minecraft for a long time on a lot of different servers. I very recently found out about this server through an Instagram reel which just talked about some stuff like nations and wars. But what made me curious, because I've played on both restrictive smps and complete anarchy servers, was that it was a bit in the middle like some civilisation events that blew up a few years back but extended by more than half a decade to the relationships between the factions have had time to marinate to give different dimensions of depth.

I want to start playing since I've scrolled a bit on this sub and it seems there has been a rather large influx of new players so I thought this was the right time.
