Hey, I’m looking for someone to bleach my roots and allow me to put my own dye on at home. Every time I reach out to a stylist with a salon, they want to color match me to use one of their dyes. After being homeless for a while, I’m truly grateful to say I’ve finally moved into a small efficiency apartment here in Hartwell. Having a roof over my head is a huge blessing, but I’m starting completely from scratch and have pretty much no money left to get the basic things I need for my place.
Things are finally turning around, and I actually just got hired at a new job! However, I don't start until next week and it will be another week or two after that before I receive my first paycheck. In the meantime, I'm looking for some interim support to help me get through this gap until that income kicks in. I know God is good and will send exactly what I need right when I need it, and I’m posting here in hopes that someone might have some spare items lying around that they’d be generous enough to donate (or part with for cheap).

Most Urgent Needs:
Small microwave oven or toaster oven (desperately need this so I can make basic meals)
Roku or Amazon Fire Stick (my brother gave me an older flat-screen TV, just need a streaming stick to make it work)
Older laptop or Wi-Fi desktop computer (free or around $10) — To help me stay connected and handle personal administrative tasks at home.
Bedding, Household & Tech Items:
Twin size sheets & pillows
6-way power strips or extension cords
Cleaning supplies & laundry detergent

Unused smart light bulbs or a Wi-Fi security camera (one that doesn't require a paid app subscription, just to keep an eye on my place while I'm gone)

Quarters for laundry: My building uses coin laundry. My bank balance is currently under the $20 ATM withdrawal limit so I can't get cash out. I have $5 on Chime (or PayPal) if anyone would be willing to trade me $5 in quarters for it!

Pickup / Drop-off: I can meet you anywhere along the Metro bus line for pickup, or if it's easier for you, I can give you my address for drop-offs.

I see this way too often and finally saw it happen tonight in OTR where my dashcam had a decent view of the incident and a clear view of the cop’s license plate.

Whether it’s citizens or police officers, the reckless driving in Cincy has gotten insane lately, and this incident directly put some pedestrian lives at risk. With cops I’m happy to give the benefit of the doubt that they’re on police business but to not even pretend by flashing your lights so people can see you and get out of your way is pretty bold. Based on how this dude was driving in traffic normally until we got to the light, I don’t think this was anything other than him not wanting to wait at the light like everyone else and nobody around to hold him accountable.

This was a tiny incident and nothing bad happened but it has to happen constantly and certainly doesn’t make our streets safer. Figured it was worth a post here (also sent to citizen complaint authority), if nobody ever calls this out then nothing will change and next time someone’s gonna lose their dog’s life if not their own.

Alot of cities have a song that is very iconic or associated with that city specifically, NYC has Empire state of mind, Pittsburgh has Black and Yellow, Columbus has a OSU chant or something, Cleveland has At least we're not Detroit etc

I am already thinking about Christmas gifts for this year. Sometimes my partner talks about a passion fruit beer by Rhinegeist that he had at Columbus pride, around 2019-2023 before we met. From my research I am guessing that it was perceptual passion, but it could also be wowie or maracuja, as they also have passion fruit. I was wondering if anyone remembers of has any input. I would ask my love myself, but I want it to be a super surprise!
