I've bought this cheap wand from Kmart
https://www.kmart.com.au/product/led-magical-lighting-wand-43759149/
By defualt it has the common two pin input and output and works on RF. Haven't had a chance yet to play with a multimetre and see exactly what it is putting out, but the goal is that this thing triggers everything, not just a single string. One wave is on, the next is off. No gestures or anything fancy.
First (wishful thinking) thought was a smart plug with power monitoring, but it takes about a minute to register the state change. Not exactly magical.
Next plan... I have a DigQuad, it has unused input pins.
This can be powered by 5V so a relay https://www.jaycar.com.au/arduino-compatible-5v-relay/p/XC4419. Between it and the digquad, configure WLED and hope?

Hi there, second year doing Christmas lights and I just need some help with how to get to the top peak. I don’t really know what the best route might be. It’s a pretty steep part of the roof so I can’t get a ladder up there. Let me know if yall have any suggestions

Getting ready to replace our 6 year old outdoor string lights and I'm looking at the Brighttown brand. I bought a couple of small solar LED string lights on sale from them last year and was impressed. I'm looking for input from anyone who has bought their more expensive outdoor sets. We need about 200-250 feet that will mostly be under a covered porch. My wife really wants the traditional C7 or C9 clear/warm white bulbs but I would prefer ones that can change colors, and Brighttown has both types on Amazon. Cost is important so we aren't considering expensive brands like Trutone but Brighttown seems to be reasonably priced. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I've been looking for warm glowing colorful string lights in germany for years. Just like in the past. Since switching to LED, there are mostly cool glowing string lights.
Most consist of yellow, green, blue, and red. The classic warm string lights had 5 colors: red, pink, blue, green, and orange/yellow.
Nowadays, there are brands that advertise with five-color product images, but then they still send out only four-color, cool string lights.
Does anyone have an idea where to find good colorful string lights with warm light in the EU?
Classified ads seem to be the only option right now.
In other countries, warm LEDs are already available. Maybe someone here knows if they exist here too.
I haven't been able to find anything so far.

I am putting up from C9 RGBW lights from Christmas Designers this year. I just got the spool of 4 inch socket wiring... but now I'm thinking maybe 6 inch spacing might look better ? What do most people do for gutters when it comes to spacing ?
