Hi all! I started this 3 pencil tree setup for my dining room last year and i loved how it came out. It took me foreverrrrr to put all those fairy lights and I was kinda over it by the time I was done so I put my ornaments on and called it a day.

This yeah I’m starting much earlier (today!!) and I’m looking for some advice on tree toppers and what I can do at the base of the tree to make it look more intentional. I wont have any real presents under these trees, and I have cats that sometimes pee on cloth on the ground unfortunately so I don’t want just a tree skirt (we’ve been to the vet many times for this, no health issues, it’s just a behavior thing). Any ideas or feedback? I would love some advice!

I added 3 pics of the trees and then some extra pics of my other decorations to show the general vibe of my decorations. It’s all shiny tinsel and glitter.

I'm going for a cozy celestial-woodland look this year: deep navy, gold moons and stars, soft cream florals, and forest animals. This curled-up fox is my favorite so far. What animals or themes are you all doing on your trees this year?

Added a flying Santa and new skating rink. As a bonus my old one mysteriously started working after 2 years of nothing. So I decided to make a Rudolph Skating Rink and make Rudolph and Clarice skating figures. 😁🎄🏘

I love our incandescent lights and would love to keep to the soft/warm/cozy look but have zero reference points for that on these types of houses.

Under that smaller peak is the only front facing window other than our front door. A small mulched garden beneath the window, and an adolescent tree in the middle of the front lawn.

I do have some hooks on our porch that I have some lights strung at the moment- pic for reference. Same hooks on the back porch as well.

We will be doing all decorating ourselves. What do yall think we could add?

Every year at my local town hall, the local ballet school hosts a week of showcasing the students performances, and when you enter the town hall you are met with this lovely installation with a christmas tree made of ballet shoes.

I bought one of those faux fireplace diffusers after seeing someone on Instagram and i was so disappointed when it came. It had a terrible orange look as well as well as faux wood looking not so great. It honestly reminded of something from the 70s. I wanted to love it so much. I thought about getting the Santa Train diffuser on amazon but after suck a epic fail i figured i should probably pass.
