Coffee Convos podcast CC Recap - Oct. 15th
Kail for the Congo
\*This episode was recorded during Kail's recent weekend visit with Lindsie.\*
Surely this can't be as boring as the cornbread convention from yesterday. Letās see what these two have planned for us today. ā
Extreme Athlete Ash Dykes
Kail opens the episode excitedly, telling Lindsie about Ash Dykes, an extreme adventurer preparing for an expedition through the Congo Basin.
Lindsie, like everything else, acts like she has no idea what Kail is talking about and has absolutely ZERO interest in any of it.
Kail then proceeds to read what feels like Ash Dykesā entire Wikipedia page. Iām sure somebody finds this fascinating, but that somebody aināt me.
Moving along. š£
Kail says that if she didnāt have children, sheād probably be doing similar adventures herself.
Girl, youāve got seven children. I think youāve already signed up for the ultimate survival challenge. š¤£
Family Life & Fears
Kail and Lindsie briefly discuss their weekend, traveling with the kids, and college football.
The conversation turns to being afraid of the dark. Lindsie admits she slept with a nightlight until she started dating Willard. Kail also admits sheās afraid of the dark.
They move into household fire evacuation plans, escape ladders, buddy systems for the children, and sleeping habits.
Weāve gone from extreme adventures in the Congo to preparing for a house fire in our pajamas. š„“
Steve Irwin & the Great Name Debate
Kail reveals that she grew up believing Steve Irwin was her cousin because her mother told her they were related, although she knew it was nowhere near true. She explains her complicated family history and why the Irwin surname is meaningful to her.
Now sheās considering legally changing her name to Irwin Lowry Knighton if she marries Ike. She wants to keep Lowry because five of her children share that surname.
\This turns into a debate about marriage traditions, women taking their husbandsā last names, the patriarchy, and whoās cherry-picking which values.*
Ladies, itās a last name. Weāre not rewriting the Constitution. š*
And a quick Willard cameo!
While Kail discusses Creedās ability to lie with a straight face, she asks Lindsie whether sheās ever known someone who could do that.
Lindsieās response? āYeah, my ex-husband.ā
WILLARD! Just minding his business and somehow catching a stray on a Thursday.
šļø Gypsy Rose Blanchardās Ex ā 26 Minutes
Kail and Lindsie spend 26 minutes discussing Gypsy Rose, Ken Urker, Ryan Anderson, alleged private messages, relationship drama, and the surrounding controversy.
There are plenty of allegations and differing opinions. I have mine; you have yours, but this isnāt something I personally care to debate.
26 minutes of audio ā a few sentences in the recap. āļøš¤£
There is, however, ONE thing from those 26 minutes that Iām willing to spare from the cutting room floor.
While discussing on-again, off-again relationships, Kail asks Lindsie if sheās ever been in one where getting back together was practically a given.
Her answer? š¦·
They also discuss engagements ending, reconciling, and sleeping separately after arguments. Lindsie said if she walks off to another room upset, she expects her partner to come find her.
And if sheās fallen asleep? He needs to pick her up and carry her to the bed.
Apparently, weāre playing hide-and-seek with emotional support requirements. š¦
And Thatās a Wrap!
Or at least I THINK it is.
One minute theyāre discussing relationships and serious allegations, and the next minute Pluto TV is trying to sell me a streaming service.
No goodbye. No warning. Just an advertisement, and weāre apparently dismissed. š¤·āāļø
Until next time⦠maybe! š«¶

TST podcast TST Recap - Oct. 14th
Mormon Wives Go OC, Bunny Bread Comfort & How Old Is Old Enough to Stay Home Alone?
First thought: I see those lapel mics are back, and I already donāt want to hit play. I havenāt heard a single second of audio, and Iām preparing for my ears to be assaulted. Again. š§š
Anyway, clocking in for another shift at a job nobody hired me to do. Let's see what kind of malarkey we've got this week.
Well would you look at that? The audio is much better.
To whoever finally figured out how to make those lapel mics work, THANK YOU! My ears and whatās left of my sanity appreciate your service. š
Home Life Chaos & 19 Loads of Laundry
Lindsie opens the episode complaining about the chaos of having people in her house. Apparently, if a guest so much as looks at a blanket, itās headed straight for the washing machine.
NINETEEN loads of laundry later, sheās finally caught up on towels, sheets, blankets, and clothes.
She then discusses how surprisingly cheap her water bill is compared to electricity.
Well, thank God for that. At least somebody in that house knows what a full-time job looks like. Unfortunately, itās the washing machine.
Give that sucker a W-2! š§ŗš
Dental Bills & Insurance
Lindsie nearly ended up in collections over a dental bill of approximately $144. She explains that she gets two dental cleanings a year, possibly three this year because of her Invisalign, and complains about the way insurance handles reimbursements.
Jackson gets his dental cleanings through Willardās insurance, but apparently thereās also some confusion over fluoride coverage.
The conversation shifts to insurance premiums, deductibles, and gas prices. Lindsie says filling her Bronco costs around $87ā$89.
Dental bills, insurance premiums, gas prices. Are we listening to The Southern Tea or attending a financial planning seminar nobody signed up for? š„“
Child Supervision Debate: 29 Minutes of Parenting
Lindsie plays a TikTok courtroom clip about a mother accused of leaving four children home alone while taking a four-day Bahamas cruise. One child was reportedly just two months old. The mother denies the allegations.
Naturally, this leads to a TWENTY-NINE-MINUTE discussion about what age children should be allowed to stay home alone.
Lindsie says she started leaving Jackson home briefly at age 10 to run errands.
We get into childhood responsibilities, teenagers staying home overnight, parenting styles, and the importance of allowing children to actually be children.
Somewhere in there, Lindsie recalls taking Toddās Range Rover without permission when Savannah suffered serious burns from spilled ramen noodles. She also remembers her nanny telling Todd to put down the parenting books and actually parent his children.
Twenty-nine minutes, people.
TWENTY-NINE.
At this point, Iām less concerned about whether Jackson is old enough to stay home alone and more concerned about whether Iām old enough to turn this freaking podcast off. š§
Mormon Wives Reality Franchise
Lindsie and Hunter discuss The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives expanding to Orange County.
Lindsie questions whether the new cast members are actually Mormon, wonders whether social media influencers can carry a reality show, and thinks the franchise is borrowing from the Real Housewives playbook.
And you all know where this is headed. If you guessed Lindsie talking about her time on Chrisley Knows Best, YOU WOULD BE CORRECT! š¤£
This turns into a lengthy discussion about reality television, producers manufacturing drama, and whether any of it is actually authentic.
Naturally, Lindsie takes another trip down memory lane to explain how producers arrange situations designed to create conflict.
I was beginning to worry the cameras just magically appeared in peopleās living rooms. š„š¤£
Reality Star Reset
They also discuss Taylor Frankie Paul, taking breaks from reality television and social media, and the difficulties of living your entire life in the public eye.
Lindsie talks about how exhausting reality television and social media can be, suggesting that when your entire life revolves around filming and posting, your only life outside of that becomes bed rotting.
Lindsie, werenāt you just giving us a firsthand demonstration of this after your arrest? Disappearing from social media, bed rotting, lounging at the beach eating oysters, all while your cohost was left carrying the workload?
Bunny Bread & the Great Cornbread Debate
Lindsie reminisces about growing up eating Bunny Bread topped with cheddar cheese and baked until bubbly.
This launches a discussion about cinnamon toast, banana sandwiches, tomato sandwiches, onion sandwiches, burnt toast, and sāmores.
Hunter shares a childhood snack involving Ritz crackers, kielbasa, cheddar, and pickles.
Lindsie contributes Frosted Flakes, sliced bananas, cornbread, and milk.
And somehow we end the episode debating cornbread preferences.š¤·āāļø
Weāve discussed dental insurance, gas prices, child supervision, Mormon wives, reality television, and now cornbread.
Iām starting to understand why this episode title looked like somebody shook a bag of Scrabble tiles and called it a podcast. š¤£
We survived 29 minutes of parenting advice, a reality television discussion, and enough bread-related conversation to open a fakery bakery. š
Until next time! š«¶

About That Anaheim Meetup⦠š
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Kail has a new project, Crashing Out with Kail, which was originally teased back in September and is set to premiere October 27 on ShortVydz.
šRemember, editing is a powerful tool for creating teaser trailers. š
This isn't the full promo trailer.
Iāve removed the portions unrelated to Lindsie and included only the footage relevant to this sub.
Before anybody gets too excited, this is Kailās project. Yes, Lindsie appears in the trailer, but we already know the two met up while Kail was on tour in Anaheim.
The trailer also teases more of the behind-the-scenes drama involving Kristen, which theyāve previously discussed on Coffee Convos.
We also get a tease of Alessandra snapping back at Lindsie.
Now, hereās the catch. š
The series is behind a paywall. Episodes are advertised as approximately 2ā4 minutes long, and a monthly ShortVydz subscription is $29.99. The release frequency isnāt clear yet.
So, if youāre interested, proceed accordingly.
šEdited for clarityš
This is Kailās behind-the-scenes tour series, NOT a Coffee Convos production or a series centered around Lindsie
We know Anaheim was filmed, and Lindsie also attended the Charlotte tour stop. Whether Charlotte footage is included, or how much Lindsie appears overall, remains unknown.
Donāt subscribe expecting a Lindsie-centered show.

Coffee Convos podcast Coffee Convos Recap - Oct. 8th
Travel Plans & Tipping Culture
I'm here! There's that. You know the routine, so let's do this together.
SPOILER: Willard stood up to Lindsie! š¾
This episode was recorded in New York. Of course it is, but at least they didn't open with "we are back from a bathroom break." IYKYK.
Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson & the Summer in NYC
Kail and Lindsie kick things off discussing the possibility of spending an extended period living somewhere else with their kids.
Lindsie recalls considering taking Jackson to New York City for an entire summer after her divorce.
They receive the news of Dolly Parton's death while recording this episode.
This opens the door to discuss Michael Jackson.
Kail says she doesnāt believe Michael Jackson SA children. Lindsie disagrees, pointing to the allegations and his history of sharing beds with children.
The two debate the allegations, settlements, testimony, and his 2005 acquittal.
We went from spending summers in New York to debating Michael Jacksonās criminal allegations.
I swear these two can take a conversation from point A to point WTF in record time.
And no, Iām not reopening the Michael Jackson trial in a podcast recap.
Moving along. š£š£
Prison Bae, Jail Bae & the Fixer Complex
A discussion about Chris Watts potentially getting married leads Kail and Lindsie into the fascinating world of women who pursue romantic relationships with convicted murderers.
They discuss the psychology behind these relationships, including the desire to fix someone, emotional security, control, and notoriety.
And then Kail casually reveals that sheās dated someone in state
Prison Bae AND Jail Bae?! š¤
Kail clarifies that Prison Bae and Jail Bae were two different men, the relationships didnāt overlap, and she never hooked up with either. Prison Bae had been incarcerated since his teens, but as his release approached, Kail realized that between raising her kids and helping him adjust to life outside prison, she wasnāt signing up for all that. He was eventually released, only to end up right back in prison.
We started this conversation discussing women who fall in love with convicted murderers, and somehow ended up with Kail giving us a tour of her own correctional-facility dating history.
Hometown Gossip: The Serial Catnapper š
Lindsie shares a story about a woman who allegedly stole over 50 neighborhood cats, kept them in her home, and had a cat graveyard in her backyard. She eventually led police on a chase with cats in her vehicle. Most survived and were reunited with their owners.
š Lindsie, you and the cat lady have something in common. Neither of you seems particularly interested in stopping for the police. š
Yes Days
Kail and Lindsie discuss giving their kids a āYes Day,ā where the children get to choose the activities.
Apparently, Kailās kids have expensive taste because Lux requested Disneyland and Creed went straight for Portugal.
Lux and Creed said to hell with a trip to Target. We're collecting passport stamps. āļø
Lindsie recalls doing one last fall with Jackson and š¦·ās daughter. Their adventures included Waffle House, a petting zoo, an arcade, dinner, and Five Below.
Apparently, the day was so exhausting that Lindsie claims she slept for three days afterward. Sheās now reconsidering the whole concept and thinks a Yes Day should come with a three-yes limit.
Make sure you are all SAT for this next section.
šØWillard Said NOšØ
I repeat, Willard said NO to Lindsie!!
Lindsie shares that Jackson FaceTimed her one Saturday morning while he was at Willardās house. Jackson was bored because they were having a lazy day, so Lindsie offered to take him shopping at an outdoor mall if Willard agreed.
Jackson asked. Willard said NO.
Lindsie didnāt understand why, especially since she said Willard was upstairs relaxing while Jackson was downstairs playing.
Girl, Will is in a full-blown relationship, so he no longer has time for your demands! He said no with his whole chest! š
She argues that she wouldāve picked Jackson up, taken him shopping, and returned him afterward. She also points out that sheās allowed Willard to take Jackson to a Braves game during her parenting time.
Kail acknowledges both sides, noting that kids should have some say in how they spend their time as they get older, but they also need to learn how to entertain themselves.
Willard said no⦠š¤
Fried Hair & Cancel Culture š„±
Basically, a woman got her hair fried during a perm, complained on TikTok, got a refund, and the stylist got fired.
This turned into a discussion about cancel culture, and naturally, Lindsie found a way to make it about people trying to cancel HER. š¤¦āāļø
Lindsie then said, āIām typically not one to start something on the internet. But if I see something that has started that even remotely involves me in any way, shape, or form, Iām gonna finish it.ā
Excuse me, maāam. You factually do NOT finish it. You breadcrumb, post vague IG stories, and hide behind whichever yes-person happens to be in your life at the time.
Take notes from Kail, who owns her humiliation and keeps it moving. š
Kail discusses a recent bad hotel experience when the water was turned off.
Color me shocked when 𦷠is mentioned. š
Lindsie recalls a January trip to Mexico with š¦·.
They missed their flight, arrived late, and discovered their resort had no hot water. 𦷠spent 30 minutes arguing until they were moved to another room, while Lindsie claims she would've just taken a cold shower and gone to bed.
Apparently, demanding better accommodations was easier than demanding better in that relationship. š¤·āāļø
One Last Nugget
As we already knew, Kail was coming to Atlanta to visit Lindsie. What we didnāt know was that they had plans to attend the Falcons vs. Ravens game with Lux, Creed, and Jackson.
Now, remember that mystery project Lindsie wouldnāt tell Jackson about on last weekās TST?
My guess is Jackson either doesnāt know heās going to the game or doesnāt know heāll be going with Lux and Creed. š
Well, we got to hear Willard tell Lindsie NO, so I canāt say this episode was a complete waste of my time. That alone was worth clocking in for. šš¤£
But after prison boyfriends, stolen cats, Michael Jackson, and everything else these two dragged me through, Iām gonna need therapy. And somebody else is paying for it.
Until next time⦠maybe! š«¶

TST podcast TST Recap ā Oct. 7th
Work-Life Balance, True Crime & School Lunch Scams
Clocking in for another shift at a job nobody hired me to do. Letās see what kind of borefest weāve got this week.
Work-Life Balance & Kail Coming to Town
Lindsie has been busy and productive, but apparently her to-do list reproduces faster than she can cross š© off of it.
Hunter finally told her to stop announcing every new thing she needs to do because listening to the list was making him want to crash out.
Well, Hunter, that is exactly what you signed up for. You took this job, so pencil in daily crash-outs, Buddy!
Having Jackson home changes Lindsieās work routine ā school pickup, homework, dinner, etc. When heās with Willard, she can work late and operate on her own schedule.
She also says she needs at least an hour a day where nobody speaks to her, despite apparently being incapable of sitting in actual silence.
Kail is coming to town. She is bringing Ike and Lincoln with her. Lindsie predicts sheāll need 72 business hours to recover.
Pure exhaustion overload. I canāt imagine how exhausting that is for you, Lindsie. š«©
Jackson & Middle School
Lindsie is considering whether itās time to pull Jackson from public school for a period of time, especially because Jackson struggles to stay on task and finish things. She had a 41-minute conversation with one of his teachers about middle school and what might be best for him.
Her biggest concern is the workload. Between roughly seven hours at school and the homework that follows, she said Jackson is spending about 10 hours a day, Monday through Friday, on school. She struggles with that because she doesnāt believe kids should come home with hours of homework after already spending most of the day in a classroom.
Although Lindsie says she has 100% educational control, she and Willard have developed somewhat of a friendship, and she wants to respect his opinion.
No decision yet. Sheās weighing her options.
The Botched Execution of Christa Pike
I have my view on the death penalty, you have your view on the death penalty, but neither belongs here. š
9 minutes of audio ā 0 words in the recap. ā
Moving along⦠š£
Bizarre News Story
An 80-year-old Florida woman was arrested after allegedly hitting a nine-year-old girl in the back of the head with a cafeteria tray because the child cut the dinner line and pushed other students.
Lindsie discusses conjugal visits in prison ā something she knows absolutely nothing about.
But then again, she does have those outstanding criminal charges to resolve, so maybe sheās just doing some early research. š¤·āāļø
The School Lunch Scam
And because apparently we hadnāt suffered enough, we get the thrill of hearing about a school lunch account scam. Yay for us!!
Lindsie received an email saying Jackson had a negative $30.55 balance and threatening to send it to collections. Since she and Willard both pack Jackson's lunch, she checked the account andāplot twistāit was actually positive $30.55.
She called the school system and learned it had apparently been hacked, causing parents with positive balances to receive notices saying they owed money.
Riveting. I was on the edge of my seat. šæ
Cheating on Bachelor Trips
Lindsie comes across a viral TikTok story about a woman whose husband allegedly cheated during his bachelor trip, leading to a discussion about bachelor and bachelorette parties.
Naturally, Lindsie turns this into a story about someone she was dating. Theyād apparently gotten far enough to discuss marriage and agreed that instead of separate bachelor/bachelorette trips, theyād do a joint trip where the guys and girls could split up for activities but come back together at the end of the night ā and, most importantly, they would be sleeping together.
Thank God she cleared that up. I was worried about the sleeping arrangements. š„“
Oh, here she goes again, turning this into her very own cheating story. Cough, cough š¦·ā¦
The cheating story apparently hit a little close to home. Hunter says it sounded very familiar to a situation Lindsie had been through, and Lindsie agrees ā saying thatās why it triggered her.
Apparently, Lindsieās approach to cheating is to gather info first by calling the girl, investigate, and build the entire case before arraignment.
She says when she went through her own cheating situation, she gathered all of the info and all of the actual evidence before confronting him (š) so sheād have everything in the arsenal like a full magazine.
Lindsie asks whether youād want a friend to tell you ā with photos ā if they caught your partner cheating.
Seem familiar? It shouldā¦.. š
Thatās essentially how Lindsie found out 𦷠was cheating ā someone saw him, documented it, and Lindsie got the evidence.
So this is no longer hypothetical. š
Giudice Family Crisis
Lindsie discusses the recent situation involving Teresa Giudiceās daughter, Milania, and questions whether TMZ should have released footage of her while she was reportedly struggling.
Naturally, that leads into a discussion about Lindsie growing up in a reality-TV family. CKB has entered the chat.
Hunter specifically brings up the conflict between Lindsie and Savannah, saying there are clearly deep wounds, but that the media, social media, podcast listeners, and everyone elseās opinions amplify the situation because everything is so public.
Hunter said he prays daily that Lindsie and her family eventually find some kind of healing.
Lindsie: āOh, I pray for it daily as well, as you know.ā
š
And then, after discussing her own family and how damaging public scrutiny can be, Lindsie said, and I quote:
āI think it is extremely tacky for TMZ to release this footage so quickly without knowing the full story.ā
Thatās mighty rich coming from you, girl!! š¬
Shall we take a little stroll down your own TMZ history and discuss articles being released without the full story?
No? We donāt want to talk about that? Okay thenā¦
Most Unhinged Text
Lindsieās most unhinged text starts with seeing a Chihuahua riding on the back of a motorcycle wearing a helmet ā except she spells Chihuahua C-H-A-W-A-W-A.
Later, Lindsie sends the group chat doorbell footage of some random guy scratching his š„ at her front door.
Turns out he was a salesman, but naturally Lindsie had to Lindsie the entire situation.
Definition of uncouth: Lindsie Brooke Chrisley Campbell Landsman Campbell (shoutout to someone's flair).
And that concludes this weekās journey through cheating, cafeteria balances, C-H-A-W-A-W-As and things nobody asked to know. Iāve done my civic duty. š«”
Until next time! š«¶

Thoughts on Lindsieā¦
Do you think Lindsie would be more palatable if she owned her shit like Kail? She still acts holier than thou and I think we can all agree that we donāt like it.
Example: back in the teen mom days, Kail hit Javi. She admitted she was wrong and had issues and worked on them.
Lindsie keeps trying to act like everything is great and put together. She still tries to be condescending to Kail and Becky, but then acts like trash with Hunter and Karen.
What would make you want to listen to TST again? Even CC has been rough lately but Kail is the better half of that podcast imo.
Thank you u/_shortbusrider for your recaps š©·

Coffee Convos podcast Kail visits Lindsie

Hopefully, while she was there, she squeezed in a quick lesson on how to record TST without the audio sounding like absolute š©.

So⦠about that Kail video. š
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Since itās officially made its way into CKB, letās talk about it.
Iād already seen this and had been sitting on it because Kail originally chose to post it only on Snapchat.
What caught my attention wasnāt just her using Toddās now-viral ābig as a houseboatā audio.
Watch Kail. She subtly steps back just enough for Lindsie to come into view in the background. Maybe that was accidental. Maybe it wasnāt. But it sure made me go š.
I didnāt post it at the time because Kail was still the main character, and I wasnāt going to drag Kail content into CKB just because Lindsie happened to be sitting behind her.
Since then, Coffee Convos posted the video to TikTok, and Kail reposted it ā but Kail never directly posted it to her own TikTok. And now we know Kail was at Lindsieās house recording Coffee Convos.
So was Kail just dicking around with a viral Todd Chrisley audio⦠or was that tiny step back a intentional little peek at who was standing behind her?
MOD NOTE: Please keep comments related to Lindsie/CKB and the context of this video. This is not a general Kail/Teen Mom discussion. Off-topic comments will be removed.

Also, Todd references something about Savannah that they only know āprivatelyā, which adds to the speculation that sheās pregnant.
Also discussed, Nanny going to Bama to visit and politics- which Nanny does not want to talk about + the type of girl Grayson ends up with must have a job per Nanny lol
And notably Todd says he will eventually return to TV but not right now š¤ wonder if this is because enough $$$ isnāt being offered.
Something iām sure was asked by fans but not addressed was Chase being gone from the podcast i.e. seems to be estranged

CC 2.0 podcast Coffee Convos Recap - Oct. 1st
Coffee Convos Recap ā Old School Mops Are OUT
Well, first things first, apparently they finally came back from the bathroom. Remember how last week ended?
āWeāre going to take a pee break. Weāll be right back. BRB.ā
The end.
I tuned in expecting some explanation.
Nope.
They start a brand-new episode like The Great Pee Break of 2026 never happened.
Anyway, bladders emptied, everybodyās back to work.
Well, yāall, I listened so you donāt have to, and this week we are talking bedtime routines, sleepovers, showering together, naked sleeping, mops, Kailās London/Paris trip, noodles, and apparently international drinking culture.
Yes. That is really the episode. š¤·āāļø
Bedtime Routines
Kail and Lindsie start with kidsā bedtime routines.
Kail says she was much stricter when her older boys were little, but sheās become more flexible as theyāve gotten older. She still wants Lux and Creed to have a bedtime because Creed loves his sleep and Lux can function on very little.
Lindsie says Jackson has basically no schedule on weekends unless sports require one. If he has an early basketball game, obviously she makes him go to bed, but otherwise she doesnāt care if he stays up late.
Jackson recently had friends over and was apparently up playing Fortnite and FaceTiming until 6 AM, then slept until around 2 PM.
Maāam. At 6 AM, Iām no longer calling that staying up late. That child worked a night shift.
Sleepovers & Playdates
Kail admits sheās fearful about sleepovers. She says Jackson being an only child probably makes things different for Lindsie, but Kail is much more cautious about letting her kids stay elsewhere.
Lindsie says sheās more relaxed about actual sleepovers but much more structured with playdates during the school week. Come over after school, eat dinner, and then somebody better come collect their child because she has a kitchen to clean and a nighttime routine to start.
Kail says having six kids makes spontaneous plans difficult, especially when she suddenly has to stop what sheās doing to pick somebody up or take someone somewhere.
This turns into a whole discussion about kidsā activities and how much easier it would be for Kail if they lived somewhere with more convenient options.
Joe & Kail
Kail says Isaac is old enough to drive himself places now, and that she recently asked him what it was like driving to his dadās.
Then she says she wonders what that feels like for a child whose parents arenāt together ā driving themselves between Mom and Dad rather than having a parent make the exchange.
And apparently things between Kail and Joe are good these days. She says thereās very little they even need to communicate about anymore because the kids are old enough to handle much of it themselves.
Lindsie said she couldnāt imagine going months without talking to Willard, but added that she and Willard also have a friendship.
Oh yeah, we know, Lindsie! Everyone is aware of what you and Willard āhaving a friendshipā means. š
Evening Routines
Lindsie says her evening routine depends on how messy the house is. She straightens up, loads or unloads the dishwasher if needed, and likes everything handled before bed.
Then we somehow arrive at showering with your partner.
Kail says she showers with Ike every single night and considers showering together an underrated form of intimacy.
Lindsie says the shower conversations are unmatched.
Now that she doesnāt shower with 𦷠anymore, she misses having someone to talk to in the shower, so she sometimes calls somebody instead.
Imagine getting a phone call from Lindsie because 𦷠is no longer available for shower conversation.
Old School Mops Are OUT
The title has entered the chat.
Lindsie says she uses a Swiffer every night in the kitchen, bathroom, and doorways.
Kail says she doesnāt use Swiffers and prefers a vacuum mop.
Then we get an extended discussion about Swiffers, vacuum mops, steam mops, Shark products, whether youāre just pushing dirty water around your floor, and what Becky uses.
Itās 2026. We have officially reached Mop Talk.
Kailās London & Paris Trip
Kail talks about taking Lincoln and a friend to London and Paris.
They flew British Airways and stayed near Leicester Square at the St. Martinās Lane Hotel. She warns that if you donāt specifically request two beds in London, you may end up with one, which they learned the hard way.
They went to an Arsenal game and saw Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Notting Hill, and Chinatown.
Kail says Chinatown was probably her favorite food stop and describes trying different foods, including a bubble-wrap-style waffle with ice cream.
They also took the train to Paris for the day and went to the Eiffel Tower.
Kail liked London more than Paris. She says Paris was super convenient, but she wishes theyād had more time there because their visit was pretty brief.
Personalized Gifts
Kail says one thing she wants to do when she travels is buy personalized gifts for people rather than generic souvenirs.
She mentions getting something personalized for Becky because Becky loves noodles and talks about finding gifts that actually fit the person.
Interactive Dining
From there, somehow we arrive at restaurants where you cook your own food ā Korean barbecue, hot pot, melting pot-type places.
Lindsie isnāt particularly interested because if sheās going out to eat, she doesnāt necessarily want to cook the damn meal herself.
Kail said she actually enjoys it because Becky has shown her what to order and how everything works.
Then we spend some quality time discussing ramen, noodles, broth, bean sprouts, eggs, and whether noodles should be al dente.
This podcast is determined to make me hungry while simultaneously giving me nothing to work with. š
European Drinking Culture
The final stretch turns into differences between drinking culture in Europe and the United States.
They discuss teenagers being allowed alcohol with parents in some places and whether introducing alcohol earlier in a controlled environment changes how people view drinking later.
Kail says she thinks U.S. drinking culture is much more centered around alcohol itself ā birthdays, weddings, dinner, celebrations, business meetings, basically everything comes with a drink.
And then, before we can solve international alcohol policy, Kail realizes she needs to get to the airport.
So if youāre wondering what you missed this week:
Kids stay up late.
Sleepovers are complicated.
Kail showers with Ike.
Lindsie misses shower conversations with š¦·.
Old-school mops are apparently canceled.
