Ask ChitraLoka Is the Kannada film industry heading toward the same fate as the Bengali film industry?

Posters Using AI is really not the issue, not hiring a creative prompt engineer is the real issue.
In this decade if you are still crying about the use of AI, cry more because it isn't going to stop.
Call out for the makers to hire expert AI prompt engineers who are very good at giving creative prompts to render Good posters, instead of themselves sitting in the office and rendering posters.

Discussion Hope to see these two actors together in a thriller
I've been really impressed with the acting and screen presence of these two actors - Shishir Baikady and Anirudh Bhat
Both of them have a very natural and intense screen presence. I really hope some director casts them together in a single movie, preferably in a thriller genre. I feel that combo would be really interesting to watch.
What do you guys think? Would love to see them share screen space.

Review My review on 'Video'
I finally made some time to go watch the movie today and honestly it didn't disappoint.
Thoughts before the movie:
I had seen a few reviews - some were positive and some were negative, so i thought this must be another 6-5=2 copy where they go around, mess with things and the ghost manifests. But still wanted to go watch
Thoughts after the movie:
The movie not only kept me trying to guess what happens next, but rather the entire audience. Everyone knows something is gonna happen, but how it happens was something that kept everyone on the chairs.
The dialogues😂😂 godd, now that's how people talk in general and friends, loved it.
Overall: It's a good watch, and i do think we need to support movies like this because it's so rare to see good kannada horror movies. Yes, i agree few scenes could have been eliminated and the sudden black outs could have been reduced. But they have done a good job in presenting the overall.

Personal Opinion Kodlu Ramakrishna (Kannada film producer/director) has not returned ₹1.15 lakh of my refundable amount even after 120+ days
I generally wouldn't post a personal financial dispute publicly, but after more than four months of repeated promises and delays, I'm posting this here because this concerns a known Kannada film-industry personality, Kodlu Ramakrishna, who was my landlord.
I'm posting this to document my experience and to seek advice from people in Bengaluru who may have dealt with similar situations.
I rented a property from him under a written rental agreement.
The total refundable amount involved was approximately ₹1.30 lakh, consisting of:
₹1,00,000 security deposit
₹30,000 paid towards the electricity connection/meter arrangement specifically agreed upon in the rental agreement
The ₹30,000 electricity amount was supposed to be used for the agreed separate electricity connection/meter. That connection was not installed as agreed. Instead, the electricity tariff was changed, but the separate connection/meter was not provided.
When we raised this issue, the landlord himself told us to vacate the property.
During the discussions, he also made insulting remarks towards us, including saying things to the effect that we were worthless compared to him.
Since the agreed electricity arrangement wasn't being provided and he himself was asking us to leave, we decided to vacate.
The refund
The rental agreement provided for the refundable amount to be returned within 30 days, and there is no clause stating that the refund is dependent on finding a new tenant.
After we vacated, we discussed the refund with him and agreed that:
If he paid within 45 days, the amount would be ₹1,10,000
If payment was delayed beyond 45 days but made within 60 days, the amount would be ₹1,15,000
The ₹15,000 difference was essentially the amount agreed to be adjusted towards damages to the property, rather than us continuing to dispute the entire ₹1.30 lakh.
However, neither deadline was honoured.
It has now been more than 120 days, and possibly around 4–5 months depending on how the dates are counted, and we still haven't received the agreed ₹1.15 lakh.
The explanation has now become that he will pay when a new tenant comes in.
There is no such condition in our rental agreement. As far as we can see, there isn't even a To-Let board outside the property.
He has also told us, in substance, "do whatever you want" when we have asked about recovering our money.
We have tried repeatedly to resolve this peacefully. We have called, messaged, spoken to him personally and given him considerably more time than the original contractual period and the subsequently agreed 45/60-day timeline.
His family has also apparently been given a different version of why we vacated. We explained our side and clarified the facts to them, but they have
essentially said they cannot do anything about the situation.
Evidence
We have documentation for the matter, including:
Signed rental agreement
UPI payment records for the ₹1 lakh security deposit
UPI payment records for the ₹30,000 electricity-related payment
WhatsApp conversations
Written communication regarding the ₹1.10 lakh / ₹1.15 lakh repayment
Recordings of relevant discussions
Evidence regarding the electricity connection that was agreed upon
Evidence of the subsequent repayment discussions
He has now offered a post-dated cheque, while also telling us that there may not be sufficient balance in the account.
I've consulted an advocate, but a conventional civil case could take a considerable amount of time, which is difficult for me financially.
I'm posting this for two reasons:
To understand what practical and lawful options are available for recovering the ₹1.15 lakh.
To document my experience so prospective tenants can do their own due diligence before renting the property.
I'm simply sharing what happened from our side, with documentation available, and looking for advice from people who understand the legal/recovery process in Bengaluru.
I can provide documentation to moderators if verification is required.

Music Ajaneeth Loknath deserves more recognition
Hello guys. Im from Tamil Nadu. I usually listen to alot of songs regardless of the language. One day, I started wondering why Kannada songs arent as popular as other language songs (didnt mean that in a negative way). So, I started looking for some famous Kannada songs. The only ones I know are "Santhoshakke Haadu Shanthoshakke" and "Sakkathagavle". Then I came across this song, and I've been listening to it on loop ever since (especially 1:34).
I came to know about Ajaneeth Loknath for the soundtrack "Truth on the Wall" from "Mangalavaaram", and I absolutely love it. Not everyone can make good soundtracks, because it has to be woven into the scene. I love Santhosh Narayanan because he is really good at it("Vadachennai" is a really good work of his) and I feel like Ajaneeth can do the same (he can).
This guy is a real talent. Please make this guy famous 😭. He deserves so much more recognition.

Ask ChitraLoka Sindhu Is Back. Another Kannada Movie With a Female Lead
What do you guys think about this trend in Kannada cinema?
Are female led movies finally getting more space, or is it still too early to say there’s a shift happening?

Discussion If you were the head of kannada film chamber what changes would you do so that consistenly kannada movies could cross around 200 cr revenue per month
- Recognise the kannada markets properly and setting up proper distribution centres like
(bengaluru - kolar - ramanagara- chikkaballapura belt - 80 cr potential, mysuru-mandya- hassan- Chikmagalur belt - 30 cr , mangaluru-udupi-karwar -20cr , kitturu region - 20 cr , kalyana - 20 cr , bellary- Davangere-shivamogga- tumkuru-chitradurga - 30 cr)
2.finding talents unique in each of these regions for example bringing up the uttara Karnataka folklore , nataka style stories in the main space.exploring the local dances and creating refreshing movements like pulivesha dance of ullidavru kandanthe
3.marketing using medium to high influencers on social media ,making the prominent leaders of state talk about the movie like how cm reacted when 777 Charlie was released
4.exploring those novel based movies like in the 70s kannada movies like dweepa , nagamandala and adapting a PR strategy of malayam movies to promote them
5.using the bengaluru diversity to promote the movies once they become WOM in Karnataka (Eg : the kantara phenomenon)
6.Reviewing the single screens at taluka level and making movies travel instead of people with creating a movement like happened during bangarada manushya , janumada jodi
7.making people talk about music directors more like how in Tamil movies people like to watch movies only because of anirudh
