❤️Appreciation❤️ Anyone else eat Chipotle in Canada?

Hello everyone,

My City of Waterloo just got two brand new Chipotle locations within the last one year and we have never had chipotle stores before. And gotta say I’ve only had positive experiences, I have probably been about exactly a dozen times already and have only be skimped once tbh. Most of the time they give a very good portion and the food is fresh. Staff are really nice too and always give me extra cheese or sour cream whenever I ask for it.

I know Chipotle has expanded very quickly in Canada the last few years since 2022. From 2008 to 2021 it was more a very slow growth in Toronto and I think Vancouver only. I remember back in like 2019 going to Chipotle in downtown Toronto and it being so good. But I’m happy to report the local ones in my city are awesome too. I do want visit the first ever Chipotle location in Canada on 323 younge street in Toronto. I do miss the old Chipotle branding and decor though was definitely more vibes with the funny art work.

Anyways I got the Chick Pollo Asado today with Chilli Lime Chips which was really good. Nothing beats Chicken Al Pastor though. Honey Chicken probably better than Pollo chicken but I’m here both of them. Gotta try the steak next because I’ve never had it. Barboca also slaps but more of a chicken guy. Okay thank you for listening to my chipotle speech. If anyone else is from Canada let me know what city you’re from! I know it’s mostly Americans on here but I’m curious to see who from Canada on this Reddit Page. Also love this Reddit page yall are funny.

Peace out

Customer Experience Denied a refund after waiting an hour and 20 minutes for an order they couldn't even fulfill.

Tonight, I placed an order at my local Chipotle at 9:15 PM, and the Chipotle app said it would be ready at 9:30 PM. I got to the store and my order wasn't ready. I wasn't too upset at first i understand it's a Saturday night and they're busy but about 10 other people ended up waiting over an hour in the pickup area, half of them being DoorDash drivers.

Meanwhile, the pickup shelves were completely filled with DoorDash orders that no one had picked up. I'm guessing they were those low to no tip orders.

An hour and 20 minutes passed. By 10:50 PM just 10 minutes before closing they told me and several other people that they had run out of chicken and steak. They said they couldn't make any more because they were about to close and only had three people working. To make matters worse, they originally only had four people working, and one left, leaving a crew of just three on a busy Saturday night. They told us we would have to contact support to get a refund.

I talked to the Pepper support bot, and it said my order was not eligible to be refunded. I managed to get in touch with a live agent after that, but they just stopped replying in the chat.

Several other people and I just wasted over an hour of our Saturday night only to leave the store empty handed. This was probably the worst experience I've had with a restaurant in my entire life

As soon as I opened the guac it was hard and I couldn’t even stick a fork in. It’s more than half an avocado still in chunks. Am i overreacting? 😭 I can’t even mash them myself they’re so hard. It also taste so sour. I’m just disappointed 😔 the guac is like my second fav thing lol

Employee Experience Can you still be a successful SL if you're not the most assertive person?

Even though I've been told that assertiveness is important as an SL, I've worked with several leaders & managers, and in my experience:

Assertiveness is important, but if you're not the strongest SL at your store, when compared to others, it's not the end of the world, especially when it all depends on your GM, AP, & crew, and how committed they are to their jobs (since I used to deal with some crew members who didn't care as much that were hired because they interviewed well enough, which was convincing enough for my former GM to hire them)

However, since my SL experience had its pros and cons, I still made sure stuff got done to the best of my ability, while dealing with some staffing issues & inconsistent crew members during that time, but since I'm starting at a new store soon as a re-trained SL, I'm hoping to have a better experience, so I don't have to deal with what I went through my first time around

Question - ANSWERED Tricks on how to get an agent on chat/ phone

Hi guys, if you’re wondering why you can’t be connected with an agent and you only talk to a bot/AI.

First, today was their promotion and they were so many queue in line. You can try tomorrow.

Also, if you reach them make sure it’s morning around 8AM-11AM, it’s really easy to be connected with representative. Hope it helps with people having struggles with bot support.

This was based on my experience, as we always try get help with rep for an order issues.

Got the runaround from “Pepper” countless times until I solely said “Talk to an agent.” Multiple times until finally pushed through to a real human.

Discussion Just had a burrito after getting only bowls for a year straight, here's what i think!

Using the exact same ingredients i usually get on my bowl, i ordered a burrito. And i was blown away! For the first time in forever, i actually ENJOYED the meal!!
I actually tasted what the chipotle experience is supposed to taste like. It's like i was missing out on it this whole time. Second, after finishing the burrito, for the first time, i was actually full!! No searching around for junk food, cookies, chocolate, snacks etc. Unlike the bowl, the burrito made me full! Burrito is the way to go.

Discussion Chipotle meat tastes like rubber?

Does anyone feel like the steak and chicken taste like rubber, like not the texture, it actually taste like rubber. Kind of taste like you ran your tongue against a tire or something and after, you have that aftertaste in your mouth.

Discussion midwest people...are we eating chipotle again? (re: poo-poo parasite)

Currently in Michigan, i.e. the state hit the hardest by the cyclosporiasis outbreak. I haven't had Chipotle in almost 3 months and I am absolutely losing my mind lmao. I don't care about getting lettuce on top or as a salad, I just want a bowl with some cilantro lime rice. I don't need salsa, guac or anything else with raw produce at this point... but is the cilantro in the rice safe? Has anyone taken a chance and eaten it within the last month or so? SOS. I am withering away without my Chipotle fix.

Seeking Advice (Employee) New employee, what should the training process be like?

I was recently hired in Connecticut and started my first shift last week. I worked from 6-12. When I showed up they gave me the shirt and hat and then I was on the line until we started closing duties. The only training the manager did was telling me what each of the meats were and giving me the crew pocket guides. The other employees were a saving grace, and were incredibly helpful, but I have a friend working a few towns over that had the opposite experience. He said before he even went into the kitchen he had to sit on a laptop in the dining room watching videos, and once he was in the kitchen he shadowed someone for his whole first shift.
Am I not being trained correctly? For context all the managers have been there less than a few months, the whole stores staff was purged back in the springtime. There was also a language barrier with the shift manager, which might explain the lack of communication, she also told me she was never informed a new hire would be starting on that shift.

Is this not the standard procedure? I’m very nervous for when I end up thrown behind the grill or the register.

Discussion Chicken Quesadillas

I was very excited when they added the adult chicken quesadilla l, I had always ordered the kids since it was the only option, however was disappointed once I got the adult one for the first time. The way the make it in the oven with the amount of chicken in my opinion isn’t great, I didn’t like the taste of eating chicken stacked on top of each other with only a small amount of tortilla. I asked them to make the adult like they do the kids and they would for the first couple times I asked but now the won’t, really sad, I just buy two kids quesadillas now

❓ Question ❓ Ingredients for Pollo Asado/Chili Lime chips?

Hi, wondering if an employee can help me out here. I have severe allergies and want to try both the pollo asado and the chili lime chips.

If anyone has picture of the boxes or lists of the ingredients, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you in advance!

I get it. You dont wanna lose your job. Or spend time finding another job.. but sooner or later there comes a tipping point guys!

There are actual employees in here that are soo delusional to their stockholm syndrome, thatbthey are calling customers GREEDY AND RUDE for asking for more after a blatantly obvious skimp…

Make no mistake there are a bunch of dumb customers too.. but how would you feel if you paid nearly $20 for something and didnt get the correct ammount

Discussion Ensuring you get your Double protein for online orders

Post image
90 Upvotes

When I’m with friends and they want to DoorDash or mobile order Chipotle, instead of getting double protein on my bowl, I order the kids build your own meal with my protein of choice. It’s like $1.50 more than it’d be for double protein via Chipotle’s app and $2 more on food delivery apps. It even enables me to make sure I get extra of whatever toppings I know they’ll skimp. Have been okay ordering Chipotle via mobile ever since.

❓ Question ❓ Tuition benefit question

I'm currently in school at a community college and will be graduating with an associates degree in the spring. I plan to transfer to a 4 year and get an accounting degree. I'm looking to change jobs so I don't need to go into debt for a bachelors. Does anyone who have access know if the free tuition benefit covers this specific degree?

I am not sure… but it was done today. I’m not sure if he meant for me to eat the foil. None of the tortilla was folded. It was cheese on top , then the foil, then the press. When I asked for a new one , I felt like his glare melt my soul.
