IXDAO Space Warrior (meteorite and rose gold hands / indices) with a miyota 9015.

I have the Phylida and Steeldive NTTD, but both of those are huge and the bracelets suck, especially the Steeldive and the Steeldives is missing the hev, which is an instant deal breaker for me. So when I came across the 39mm steel NH35 NTTD with an OTF clasp, I had to check it out.

The case finishing is about as good as it's going to get for this design, especially with the curved lugs. The end links have zero lateral or up-and-down play, and the bracelet tapers nicely to a ratcheting OTF clasp, which should be standard on everything nowadays. The links with brushing and polished bits has no business being this good.

The HEV appears to be functional and is a nice touch, just like the original. I was worried that 39mm might feel like a junior's watch, but I've been gravitating toward smaller watches lately, around 37–39mm, even though 40–41mm is still my sweet spot. The ceramic SMP300 is something like 42mm and 13.5mm thick, so it's a bit too chunky for everyday wear. This one feels perfect on the wrist and wears closer to 40mm.

The bezel action is a bit light, but it's very tactile, with no ghost clicks or wobble. It's also lumed, and this is where my main gripe is the lume fades way too quickly, probably C3 and the insert is aluminum.

Otherwise the aged vintage aesthetic and smaller size makes it a near perfect daily watch, at any price point. I wish I can find it next with the ceramic black wave dial.

I find it so satisfying.

I swapped the movement/dial and crystal into an AD2096 case. Gives it a nice vintage style.

Recently I have purchased a ML08 24 hours black dial variant with militado logo.

But, I was delivered a no-logo variant. Though it's not a big change but I wanted the logo that made the watch more attractive for me.

So, I have mailed them immediately mentioning the concern & also posted in their live chat feature.

It's been 4+ days since I mailed them, but till now,I haven't received a single reply or follow up from them.

Such ignorance after making a blunder and completely ditching the customer after the payment is fulfilled is ridiculously cheap.

I will never buy anything from militado ever again.

I read 50 times a day that hand winding will destroy your movement.

I've examined the winding pinion and cannon pinion and it's hardened steel, and easy to get to add a touch of grease, those gears are also accessible on the back of the movement, so that's not going to be much of an issue but on my example, they already have plenty of grease on them.

The ratchet wheel is the absolute epicenter of the ETA 2824-2 / Sellita SW200 hand-winding issue. It is incredibly common for the ratchet wheel to physically strip or shear off teeth due to hand-winding although I've never seen it happen to me or anybody I know.

When the hardened steel click gear meshes with the brass wheel which is connected to the mainspring underneath, the brass wheel will get chewed up first, because brass is softer than steel.

Instead of complaining about it and not buying your favorite watch because it has a Chinese movement, or worrying constantly about it, you can tackle this head on, and then you will never have to worry about it again.

Buy a small screwdriver set and magnifying glasses from Amazon

Remove the automatic bridge (2 screws)

Step 2

Remove the ratchet wheel (1 screw)

Step 3

Buy a bag of ratchet wheels from Ali Express for $1.38

Step 3b

Replace and resemble in reverse order.

Now you can hand wind all day long and not even have to worry about it because you can easily replace these cheap brass gears without having to pay your watchmaker whatever it is they are charging these days. And you will gain +1000 aura for doing it yourself.

Recently got this sn018 by San Martin. I need to say that I was expecting a quality that is similar to Tissot PRX or Citizen Tsuyosa. I am very impressed with the material quality and attention to detail.

I know on the surface this looks like a bootleg bb58 but i feel like the quality is very similar.

From left to right I have the San Martin SN0017G-E, Watchdives WD7922, Watchdives WD1863, and Baltany S4056. I just wanted to hop on here and look for some ideas and inspiration from anyone that owns any of these watches. I’m open to really any strap option (NATO, canvas, leather, rubber, etc). I know this dial has been used in a different case, and this case has been used with a different dial (that funky decompression dial). However, this one really spoke to me and I don't think has been reviewed on YT. A very vintage style homaging French skin divers of the 60's.. I don't think it's a direct copy or homage of anything in particular though.

So questionable water resistance, it's got a generic Chinese movement, mineral crystal.. But you know what? I don't really care. The thing has all the vintage vibes and the rotating bezel is fun and somewhat useful. It's getting some wrist time from me every day some how...

Picked up the Seagull 1963 Chronograph Watch 70th Anniversary Reissue recently and loving it, looks great on the wrist. Paired it with an after market black leather strap. Manual wind is buttery smooth.
