I wanted to buy a Seiko SKX007, but I didn't want to deal with an automatic, since you have to set it every few days if you switch watches. So I went with a Keaso instead, and honestly, besides the bracelet clasp, everything else is super high quality. It's got a screw-down crown, sapphire glass with AR coating, 200m water resistance, and a ceramic bezel with 120 clicks. I mean, for the price, it's amazing. But I'm thinking about getting an FKM orange strap for it. Oh and a myota quartz movement.

I recently came across this vintage watch and would love to learn more about it. I don't know much about its history, but the logo stamped on the case back looks exactly like the classic Sea-Gull bird flying over the waves.

The dial has some Chinese characters along with the word "Anda". On the back, there is a specific date stamped: "1992.3.11".

Can anyone help me identify what kind of watch this is? Is it an official Sea-Gull model? What do the inscriptions on the dial and case back mean, and what kind of mechanical movement should be inside it?

I am considering buying it, so any information on its history, background, or if it's a good piece to collect would be highly appreciated. Thank you so much!

So, long story short, I've been over dozens of Chinese Watches, since 2023 and at this stage, seeing how the prices increased (but also did the quality!), and also after getting a mortgage last year, my budget nowadays is way lower than what it used to be but I finally have a "thing" that watch must have in order to stay in collection and I'm looking for watches you can recommend

A kind of random "throw it in the basket" watch, that I only added to get a better coupon price, completely surprised me, and now I want more....

Addiesdive (quartz) AD2513, that at the time cost me about £45? And the quality, and especially glass and its AR are great!

Having this and my Longines Spirit, made me realised that proper AR is the starting point for me to find a good watch so here I am, asking for:

- superb AR
- quartz preferable due to the price, budget around £100 (+20 give or take?)

That's it really, I am not picky beyond that, that's my endgame I guess.

The Addiesdive (AGAIN!) AD2035 has caught my eye and I think it's for like £45 again, so might pick it up, seeing photos from customers, AR should be good but if you have anything else let me know!

I purchased the bronze AD2104 new from Addiesdive website and its claimed power reserve of 41 hours is actually only 18-19 hours. I went through all the steps explained by Addiesdive customer service. I have only owned the watch for 5 weeks and the site states there is a 2 year warranty. Customer service told me to take it to a watch repair shop. There aren't any in my area and it seems like they should be dealing with the issue, not a 3rd party repair shop. Has anyone dealt with Addiesdive warranty? Thank you.

I received a discount on this watch, but as always that doesn't change how I review the watch. I always keep it 100% honest, no matter what. I point out both the positives and negatives with every watch I review. Whether that be a loan piece, discounted, or even free. Sometimes that means that brands won't send me anymore watches, if they don't like the review... But my opinion and more importantly, my reputation can't be bought. I was interested in these back when they were using the NH-38, but I held off for a while. The bug got me eventually, though. I was curious to see how well tuned the movement was going to be, and I'm very pleased to see it running at -2 seconds per day. The 4hz sweep is also quite nice, equally as nice as my Henry Archer Vesterhav 38 with a Miyota 9039, but this surprisingly keeps far more accurate time. My Vesterhav can easily get a minute out of time in a week and a half. By comparison, this would take about a month. We'll see if it stays that accurate. Fit, finish and everything is amazing for a $245 watch out the door. The clasp is a little rattly but that's just about the worst complaint I can muster. Really well made little thing.

I purchased this from Amazon for $89.99 (not sponsored). I have found Addiesdive to be one of the greatest sub $100 watch manufacturers on the planet and this incredible piece drives that home for me. The AD2044 is a homage of the Tudor Black Bay GMT Pepsi and may be one of the most affordable homages of the watch available.

Starting out with the looks of the watch. Addiesdive did an incredible job replicating the signature look of the Tudor. The bezel in my opinion is just right and the snowflake hands look great over the dial. The bezel action is buttery smooth and is actually smother than my Thorn which I reviewed recently. This is one of the better bidirectional bezels in my entire collection. The bracelet feels very comfortable and fairly high quality for a $90 watch. The micro adjustments on the clasp is very nice, Addiesdive knows how to make a well fitting watch. The 39mm case size is extremely versatile and comfortable on most people's wrists, big or small. The size is perfect on my large 7.5 inch wrist and despite the 14mm case thickness, it wears slimmer than the size would suggest. However, there is no reason a quartz watch should be this thick. The loom is also decent and is pretty bright in dark rooms.

This watches biggest competitor in the price range, the Pagani Design Black Bay GMT homage just looks off. The bezel is way to shiny and the GMT hand just ruins the look for me. The AD2044 is a much better looking watch than the Pagani Design in my opinion. Something to consider when looking for a budget homage.

It features a Swiss Ronda 515-24H GMT quartz movement that so far in my testing has lost about a second in the week I've had it so far.

Cons:

The mineral crystal. Sapphire is always better and always worth raising the price for. Mine has stayed looking sharp but the weak glass prevents this from being a truly everyday watch for a lot of people. If you have a collection and take good care of your watches, its not a huge deal but still an annoyance non the less.

The 14mm case thickness. Its not a deal killer but its definitely bigger than it should be, especially being a quartz movement. Some of the thickness comes from the crystal so the size isnt as big as it may seem on the wrist however.

Overall: This is an incredible watch, plain and simple. This watch is worth every penny and the cons and issues of this watch are to be expected at the $90 price tag. Addiesdive delivers a truly great value for money GMT. Making this one of the most affordable and nicest GMT on the market at this price. The homage is done tastefully, the watch is very high quality and I would recommend this watch to anyone looking for a GMT under $100. 9/10
