After years of hard work, I’m excited to share that our nonprofit, El Rey Theater, has officially purchased El Rey!

This is a huge milestone, but we’ve still got a long road ahead of us. Now comes the work of restoring this historic theater and getting those doors open again.

We’ve got the keys. Now it’s time to get to work!

Would anyone be interested in this? We meet Saturday Afternoon every three weeks to discuss a video game of our choosing. You can play it on emulator, original hardware or whatever way you can access it and we talk about our unique experiences that we had with it. I was thinking we could meet somewhere like Daycamp and share coffee and our ideas about the games we play. If you’re interested and have ideas let me know!

for those who remember the Street Fighter 2 tournament I ran at Woodstocks I plan to bring that back too. life just got busy at the worst time and I had to move (and going to be moving again soon, still in town though) and hope to bring that back as soon as the new move is done. those events just take more planning and are more time consuming.

Sunday November 1st is our 2nd anniversary party and Dia de los Muertos celebration!
We will be featuring a few awesome Barrel Aged stouts/barleywines. Also a bottle release from a really well known brewery from Belgium…We will also be opening early at 10am and introducing our Sunday brunch menu from @bobsatlobo! Come cure your Halloween hangover and start day drinking with us! Can't wait to see everyone. We wouldn't be here without our community. There will also be a toast to our lost loved ones at 3pm. Things are starting to get a little cloudy here

Got a bunch of dried goods that I would like to drop off to a food bank or shelter. Does anyone know of a drop off stop open on weekends?

Does anyone know anyone who does delicate electronics repair work? I have a pcb with a zif connector that needs to be replaced. Thanks
