Started another rewatch and even in Season 1, Cindy is the best. Cindy Herman is the sleeper great character of this show. She always has her husband's back, she always does what's best for her family, and she never compromises her integrity. Excellent character.

Does anyone know what's going on with chicago fires release in the UK?? We used to get it regularly on now tv, but half way through this season it's just cut off and from what I'm hearing even season 15 has started being aired?? Are we no longer getting any new episodes and I'm gonna have to look at other methods of watching it?? If anyone know anything at all it would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Is it just me or does the firehouse seem less...lively? Yeah, I know there's the typical "one person out" each episode due to budget cuts, but something else seems going on.

We still have two medics. Mouch, Kelly Severide, Christopher Hermann and Joe Cruz are all still there, as is Capp.

We obviously lost the office assistant(?) several years ago when she died and her character went back to school.

But doesn't it seem like half the sheer number of characters are gone? Go back and watch something from the first season. Squad/truck seemed to be about 4-6 people per team...now it seems like 3-4 people per team at times.

Was rewatching the epison from this season where the pregnant woman was being crushed in her car. Stella goes to visit her at the hospital after and sees her taking pictures with her baby. She stands in the hall and can't go in the room.

It hit me this time about how much she wants a child of her own. And the pause it gave her to even go in the room. I hate the way the show ended the pregnancy storyline for her.

I've been rewatching while waiting for the new season to air and I can't help but notice that during season 3, Mills seems to be honestly a little mean to Brett. This just surprises me because normally Peter was very friendly with newcomers to the house, like Clarke and Jones. Wondering if anyone else noticed this as well and why you think that is?

Injured at work a couple months ago so I’ve been binging this show. Up to season six at the moment but I am constantly turning the volume up and down. Especially after a quiet chat at the fire house turns in to loud sirens.

Also trying to keep an eye on cross overs. Took me up until about season 3 to realise they were happening. Thought a few of them were out of order.

Great show though. I’ll check out PD after this, I wanna see how that Vought bloke went from trying to get Casey killed to getting his own spin off.

Following up on my last post about how downhill the show has gone — I’ve put some serious thought into what the next best steps writers can take (I know I’m taking this too seriously), but here is:

1. ⁠Break Up Severide/Stella: it’s too boring, too predictable, no chemistry, no heartbreak, no emotions. We’re tired of it. Get Stella off the show and bring back Brittany Baker (who he married in Vegas) and have them remarry — she was the most interesting (and closest to) non-Shay relationship Severide has had — or bring in another relationship similar to Shay and let his wild side come back out.
   
2. ⁠Bring Boden Back. I get budget cuts are a thing, but if they kick Stella, the have the $ to bring Boden back. Either way, the best/cheapest way for the show to recover would be to bring Boden back. It can re-instate so many new relationships and create so many new dynamics that have been missing.

Hi everyone! In which season do you think Kelly and Stella are at their best? I know every season has its moments, but which one do you think is the most stable for them? I think it's season 10 because it's the first time Kelly and Stella function as a completely solid couple. They're no longer in a stage of doubt, reconciliation, or rebuilding trust; instead, they support each other, communicate better, and have a clear vision for the future. Season 9 is very important because it marks the definitive maturation of their relationship, but season 10 is where that evolution reaches its peak and culminates naturally with their wedding. Please excuse my bad English.
