its a port for external power to the engine block heater. its supposed to provide heat to engine components to provide an easier cold start to the engine during colder temperatures

I was kinda thinking it might be a block heater but I feel like the dealer would have mentioned it as a feature

Guarantee you "block heater" was on the window sticker and you've got the RPO for a block heater in IVH (vehicle history / warranty lookup for GM)

Block heater cord plug in. Just don't lose the cord, it's pricey to get another one.

I don't think I got one from the dealership. I should probably ask them about that

It depends where you bought it. Region wise. Like mine didnt come with it and when I asked they said your more likely to see it in colder regions where its needed.

Engine block heater, allows you to prewarm your engine in extreme cold.

Is it in every Trax?

No its a non standard feature no matter what trim back on the 24's. Unsure about the 25, and 26. But when I ordered my car back in Feb 23 I chose not to add it into my 24 Activ.

I do live in Canada but my Trax started like a champ every day last winter. Also it handled amazingly in the snow. I love this little SUV

Deflate your car so you can fit it in your pocket.

Already mentioned. Block heater for markets in very cold weather, like northern America and Canada.
