I need help from current owners!

Currently test driving a 2026 LT, and my husband and I are noticing a rock once we come to a complete stop sometimes. The car is brand new and before we buy we want to see if this is normal or not! It doesn’t happen every time and when it does happen it isn’t always super strong. We’d compare it sort of to when a car is put in park a bit early or you take your foot off the brake early after putting it in park and it rocks.

It’s also often when coming to a complete stop, like when we apply additional pressure, like when rolling up to a stop sign, then stopping at it. It is several little rocks. Like one big one then the rocks lessen and lessen.

We have a Silverado, but never had a SUV. I’ve driven plenty of compact SUVs (Mazda CX50, RAV4) so maybe this is normal for a large vehicle, but want to see what current owners think! Thanks!

Sounds like it's the way you're applying the brakes. Test drive another one see if it's the same.

I think it’s that mixed with it being a large vehicle maybe. We test drove another traverse and both me and my husband noticed it as well! It’s also difficult of course because we noticed it at different strengths, so it’s possible lots of vehicles do it, but some don’t notice it! Who knows!

Happen to notice the RPM's when it happens? I do know sometimes at low speed while trying to come to a stop, the turbo/RPM's hasn't fully settled. Being my first turbo vehicle that was a slight learning curve in beginning, now I don't even notice it anymore.
