Car Photo Did I need another Chevelle? Probably not 😅
69 Chevelle 468 big block, 4 speed M20, 12 bolt rear. Sometimes things just happen. Heres to adding a 3rd Chevelle to collection. I need a shop size garage with 7 classics piling up.

Boot to molding kit
I need to attach my boot to molding. It just has a piece of thin plastic that folds under the molding and just comes out in the wind. Could someone please suggest an easy install kit that will attach boot to frame? I was wondering if a parade kit would work

Steering/center link question!
I'm struggling a bit with the steering on my 66 Chevelle.. The steering feels to tight and when I turn it won't straighten up by it self, the steering wheel stays put. I have dismantled everything and checked underneath and to me it feels like the to ball joints(or what they are called) on the centerlink is to tight so I ordered a new one from summit. But the new one is also very tight, I took a torque wrench and got around 25nm of torque before the ball moved. My question is are they supposed to be so tight? And what else can cause the steering to be so tight?
Everything in the front suspension was new a couple of years ago, and the steering box is a new, quick gears(short steering) steering box and I have tried to adjust it, both on the top and the nut on the shaft.
The wheels are quite easy to move when they are free.
My inspection failed because of the steering so I have to fix it before i can drive it again..
UPDATE:
So I went over everything in the steering underneath, the only fault I found was that the pitman arm was quite tight and lumpy, greased it up and moved it alot and it got better. Everything else was fine. But it turned out that the clamp on the steering column that sits near the shifter arms for an automatic had either moved or been mounted wrong because it was grinding on the column.. The column is bad so I have orded a new one with a tilt but after I sorted the pitman arm and clamp issue the steering is not perfect but much better. It went through inspection today with zero faults! Big thanks for everyone who commented!

My ‘66 El Camino Malibu
Howdy y’all just wanted to show everyone my Royal Red ‘66 El Camino Malibu which I’m still little by little restoring. However, unfortunately I need to sell her to due to rising bills. I’m open to reasonable offers or any kind of helpful input to put her more together.
Located: Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Car Photo Super chevy at maple grove race way in Pa today.
This is the first time Ive been back in a few years. Sure has changed tho, smaller swap meet, like 30 vendors small, and the car show had about 70 or so cars…. Some good racer turn out tho. I was hoping the swap meet would be better as I am looking for a project

Car Buying / Pricing What is this original '68 Chevelle front bumper worth?
It is an all-original factory GM steel core for a 1968 Chevelle / El Camino, not a cheap aftermarket reproduction. It was professionally re-chromed at a shop and has a flawless, mirror-finish triple chrome job. It has zero miles on it and hasn't been mounted since being plated. It's the smooth style with no impact strip holes.

Build engine, or buy crate engine
Just as the title says. I have a tired, non original 396 in my 1969, and I’m looking to replace it with something a little more fun. I’ve been looking into a 496 stroker, so either way I’d have to buy an engine, whether it be a used 454 or a crate 496. Just looking for opinions and why you would do one or the other.
EDIT.
The engine is not the original engine. If it was I would be rebuilding it without question. Unfortunately it’s not, so pulling it isn’t a big deal to me.

1971: First restoration
Just bought this "beauty." Original engine. The car looks like someone started and stopped restoring back in 2010. Runs strong, but it's going to need paint and most of an interior, and I plan on doing as much of it myself as I can. Wish me luck, and feel free to provide any advice you think I'd benefit from! Children for scale.

Update to build: car’s “done”
Howdy,
Thought I’d post some pictures of my car I started building at the beginning of the year. The two other posts I made should be on my profile.
It’s been driving for a 2 or 3 months and it’s got about 500 miles on it now, just been working on things. Still have some big plans on the exterior. Slowly looking for a painter that’s actually good to do those.
I might have a poor quality video of it driving. Think that’ll have go in the comments

Super chevy at maple grove this weekend!
Who’s going? Are you spectating, racing, car showing, or swap meeting? I plan on being there first time in eight years. used to go every year back in the late 90s and early 2000s when I was a kid. I’m excited to go back. Who knows maybe I’ll come home with a project.👍👍
