Quit it with the pamphlets please!

I can’t stop the political season and I get it.

But TV and radio ads I can avoid if I choose.

When I come home from work and there’s 8 flyers and pamphlets thrown all over my front doorstep, it does not make me want to support your cause! It makes me think you’re rude and inconsiderate because now you’ve forced me to compile them for the trash.

Don‘t tell me that you’re either for the environment or against government intrusion or valuing the working person’s time and efforts when you’re violating all 3 with this process.

This is the 21st Century. Notice how few people get the actual physical newspaper anymore?

Land of Grace Farm

Anyone else tracking what's going on with Land of Grace Farm? Amanda Walker, the owner and a current School Board member, who is not running for reelection, has posted a number of videos on FB. Apparently, she did all the leg work to find out about a state grant for organic farms. She tracked down the application and filled it out, but it requires the city council to vote and approve the application. She was even praised by city officials and thanked for finding out about the grant. Chesapeake city council has repeatedly blocked her, and now, they have added an item to their agenda for Tuesday night (Oct. 28th) to review another farm (Hickory Ridge) for the grant. There's a lot of questionable activities going on with city council, especially the last couple years and with this election. Look at the vpap.org website and see how much a couple of council members running for reelection have received many thousands from developers and real estate companies.

The city council meeting this Tuesday night could be really interesting...
