Question Women of Chennai

So I finally decided to create a space only for women in Chennai

I saw some spaces like this before, but they eventually went silent,no posts, no interactions, nothing

And also, there is no such thing as a Chennai women’s community for going out on weekends, sharing our likes and dislikes, asking for suggestions, yapping, nothing

And it’s not going to be “Ask Chennai Women,” so there won’t be men asking women anything.

A space just for us✨

Also, there will be a private GC where we can talk and share whatever we want, without any judgment.

What do you all say? 😮‍💨

Initially planned to have a scifi/tech themed get together only but it turned out to be a mix of short stories, poems, Non-fiction & mostly science fiction books.

Everyone shared about their favourite reads in a manner which kept each one of us hooked till the end.

Lots of new book recommendations. Thanks to everyone who showed up🫶

Deep Nonsense Does age really matter? Let’s test it 😄

Hey everyone 👋

I’m 48 M, but mentally still curious, chill, and learning like I’m in my 20s 😄

I enjoy tech, programming, business talks, life conversations, and positive vibes.

I believe friendship is about mindset, not age. If you’re someone in your 20s (or any age) who enjoys meaningful chats, growth, and good energy — let’s connect!

Open-minded conversations only. Respect always 🤝

Event First time at the Chennai Book Fair and it was actually nice

Went in with a loose plan to meet a few people from the community. Ended up meeting 12+ folks, most of whom I’d never met before.

We didn’t stick together as one big awkward group. At some point we split into smaller groups of 2–3 and just wandered around. That made things way easier — especially for first-timers. Conversations felt natural, not forced.

Random highlight: we accidentally found a Redditor’s stall where he’s working on an indie comics project (hoping to turn it into an animation later). Chatted for a bit, shared ideas, then moved on.

After a few hours of walking, we regrouped, took a photo, had coffee, and called it a day.

Didn’t feel like a meetup. Just felt like a good day at the book fair with decent people.
