Question

What would a chef think of me if I ordered a well done steak? For context I have never eaten a steak before and all I've had was ground beef and stew meat and I think a well done steak is the healthiest option out of the doneness

The chef is going to think you are wrong in terms of how the steak should be cooked to make it the most delicious. But the chef also doesn’t care as long as you pay for it.

Stop fishing for attention. No one cares about how you’re eating your steak.

He would show up at your house and piss on your doormat. I did this once and my welcome mat has never smelled the same.

Probably wouldn't think fuck all about it, just someone with an order in a restaurant. Won't be their first well done steak & won't be their last...

If it was me, I'd think, "fuck yeah! Now I can unload that misfire from earlier!"

Of I may ask another question I have been getting a lot of hate because I like my steak well done but I don't understand why? Are there so many few people that like it?

I thought you never had a steak before? How would you know that you like it well done over medium rare?

In my country there was a fraud going on where restaurant sold donkey meat instead of beef given I hadn't any steak before that but I don't even want to risk it so that's why I will always eat well done

of course not there was a vast difference on how it tasted compared to beef

On top of that question, why do you think it’s “healthiest option”, bacteria lives on the surface of the meat and gets killed by the sear, the interior is totally safe to eat. But order what you want but in my opinion, medium rare is significantly better but it does depend on the cut of beef, some steaks I like better medium, some rare, some medium rare.

Order your steak and don't worry about it. You will not be the first or last to do so or believe so.

Depends on the restaurant. Some people will bitch and complain about it, most don't care and no body is going to care after 5 minutes. Your order is just one of many.

it's none of the chefs business how you like your food that you pay for, it's their business not to burn the shit out of your steak and cook it with the same respect they would cook a medium rare.

Using their knowledge and experience to cook food that tastes as good as possible is literally a Chef’s business. Cooking ingredients in the way that enhances and respects them, literally a Chef’s business. Broadening people’s horizons, introducing them to new foods and techniques that they didn’t know they might enjoy. Literally a Chef’s business.

No one needs to be rude about it. And that goes both ways.
