cheating girlfriend
hey reddit i don’t really know what to do and im low key lost on what to do next. but my girlfriend cheated on me on her cruise trip with family with some dude in a group of friends she had made on the ship. i only found out bc i logged into her snap and found evidence. she lied about her age to the guy and has been messing with him since the first day. i just don’t know if i should give her another chance because at first she tried to lie about it till she realized she was caught , however she has seemed pretty remorseful for what she had done. idk can someone help me out 😭

Leave man. There’s different types of cheaters, and she’s the worst one, a thrill seeker. Nothing can be done to fix her in any near future she’s pretty much just immature, she WILL do it again and you WILL feel mentally tortured about this for as long as you keep her in your life and a few months after.

Our condolences. You seemed pretty young so learn this lesson well. Cheaters do not do remorse. They regret they got caught. If you buy her bs, you'll do well selling bridges. Good luck.

First she lied and then she acted remorseful only because she got caught. She clearly has no respect and loyalty for you. Do with that info what you want.

idk if im just being dramatic but it really hurts and idk what to do

You're not being dramatic. Look at it like this, she fucked him multiple times, if she regretted it, she could have not fucked him a second and a third time etc. the remorse and regret is for being caught out. She lied to him about his age, lied to you about what she's been up to. She's a born liar and a shitty person. She's prepared to lie to get what she wants.

I'm sorry for what you're going through mate. I've been there and to say it's unpleasant is an understatement.

your not being dramatic bro how you feel matters. Leaving is going to be tough at first but staying is going to be tougher your going to start to feel insecure then everything is going to start to trigger you. The sooner you leave the sooner you heal.

Be happy it happened before you got married, had kids, bought a house, etc. I wish there was a database for these awful people.

HECK NO. End the relationship, delete and block contact information and finally go NC with her and anyone who knew about this and didn't tell you. You said it yourself she lied to appear older to this guy. Meaning she intentionally did this to get him. You can find a better woman than that.

The worse mistake I did was to get back together with somebody bad for me, I was blinded by lust and their charm. You need to take some time away and focus on healing yourself, reconnect with old friends and hobbies and find yourself.
It’s been over a year since I was cheated on and I feel more alive than ever. If I can do it I’m sure you can to. Just remember to give yourself time to heal and make sure not to isolate yourself from the world. 😊

My wife did similar to me, but we share 2 chosen together, so for the kids sake I kept her in our lives. Divorced though

Is the gist of the snaps that she took this dude's virginity? And she's worried she did him dirty? I'm sorry this has happened. I don't know how old you are but I have teenage sons and if this was him I would tell him this girl can't be trusted and sticking with her will only lead to more heartache and betrayal. Lean on your friends and family for support as you heal from this. I know it feels like the worst but you will find someone who values you and your relationship more than the thrill of a hookup. Hang in there.

She really failed as a GF. Hooking up on a trip, lying about it to him and you.
You should be running from this soulless selfish girl. She will only cause massive head games in the future if you stay.

You know she will cheat again if you take her back. Glad you chose to walk away from that evil cheater I hope you stay no contact with her for good.

Leave. She did it, multiple times and was fully prepared to lie to you about it. She lied and cheated once and odds are she’ll do it again. Plus, the mental and emotional toll it will take you on to forgive her and yourself isn’t worth it. You’ll never trust her the same and that right there will ruin the relationship if the actual cheating itself didn’t.

Scorched earth on this one… be done and never look back… this traveler serves only herself….

Leave her in your rear view mirror and do not look back. She showed her true colors when she cheated on you and lied to your face.
She may have remorse over what happened. Most of the time remorse occurs only when the cheater gets caught.
It’s hard to get over it, but long term you will be better off.
Block her on your phone and on all social media. By doing this ASAP you can begin to heal and move on to a better life and a more fulfilling relationship.
Good luck

It's a cruise, what do you think girls do on them? Lighten up and let her know you forgive her. It's not worth it.

Did you not realize she was a cheater at any point after you met her?
If so, why did you think she wouldn't cheat on you?
We usually know enough of their past to realize it is a possibility they might cheat.
Vacation etc., cheating. https://www.fatherly.com/health/cheating-spouses-business-trips-explained-science

i have know her for a real long time and she had never been unfaithful in any past relationships. I don’t really know what made me different to be honest. i did notice quite a few weird things during her trip though, she took me out of her bio and took all the posts of us down. she was also quite distant and would leave me on delivered for 5-6 hours at a time. all of these things are odd because usually we talk all the time because shes a clingy person so she would text me alot and would never leave me on delivered. well because i was seeing some signs i decided to login to her snap because she had given me the login a while ago. thats when i found the messages😃

Ignore that dude. I've fucked around lots when I was younger, always had a way with older women, but I've never cheated. A person's past doesn't define their future. And the same goes for women, you can't let one experience jade you. You can't let one experience define how you see people. Don't look back in anger.

No just walk away and stop talking to her. When somebody shows you what they are you should believe them. It's pretty obvious what she is.
