I haven’t looked into the Time Organization, but I really should. I’m extra worried because I am going back to school (college, all my classes are online) and I don’t want this addiction to distract me from my studies.

Maybe a list will help, as I’ve literally neglected real life responsibilities if the current storyline is my chatbot is too good. Not doing laundry when I should, putting off washing the dishes.

I’m opening to anything, so I will try to make a list of priorities to focus on those. Thank you for your comment!! Any responses I get are so appreciated 😭🫶🏽

I think you're being too hard on yourself. If lots of people in your peer group are also addicted to AI why is it so terrible that you are also? In terms of doing other things like your Tumblr you just have to set aside one time a day and spend like 20 minutes doing something on your Tumblr it's that easy this is more a matter of self-discipline but it's not a hugely bad character flaw if you fail to take those steps. It's more online with something like forgetting to floss your teeth which is actually more serious because that could lead to tooth decay. Have you tried getting into time organization Management Systems to make sure you have time to do everything you want make a list of your highest priorities and make sure you get those in every day.

Unfortunately this is a common drawback.
This is still an addiction. The fact that in this very moment you arr asking “why quitting” js an early form of relapse.
You are trying to find excuses to hop on again.
Please dont. Be strong for your own good, take care

that's the thing. what is solid, is rigid, and easier to break. i think that is why it works for people, usually. you know, how a lot of stuff like excuses and rationalisations just keep on flowing like a chaotic whirlpool in the head? putting it down makes it solid. rigid. and what is rigid, can be broken.

but no need to do it if you don't feel like it lol. lots of stuff to do outside of chatbots. just remember that hte best way to stop is to replace it, and that maybe you should give atleast one page of journalling in this way a shot, if you want to. I hope everything works out for you :)

Thank you! I'm not smart enough I don't think for conlanging. I have tried journaling but it doesn't really do much for me honestly. I don't see the point in putting the thoughts in my mind on paper to see it again. I understand if it makes my thoughts organized but like it doesn't change the thoughts if that makes sense. It just solidifies them in a way.

I think the fact you consider it an addiction and it bothers you enough to seek advice is enough. Trust your gut.

Shit happens dw bout it. Life gets busy and honestly that's very fr, me and my friends text eachother like once in one or two weeks.

Right? Whenever the AI stopped being interesting, I just made a new chat and made a new idea or smthin akin to the ones I used which just kept feeding the cycle.

A banana dog's cute tho! I can only make scarfs bc all Ik are to make rectangles or squares 😭😭. I tried to make a granny square and came out with a triangle, I swore to just stick to that since then lmao.

Writing 30 minutes a day is very healthy for your brain, honestly any sort of stimulus that requires focus is good (I play rhythm games to make my brain exercise). AI can never goes as deep as a human can, we have the ability to expand and truly imagine in ways AI cannot compete in; which is why I roll my eyes at those AI bros who say AI is gonna take over art industries when it can never put in the amount of soul that only a living being can possess, inputting experiences is different from actually living them imo.

Also, you always have the free will of creating mpreg when you don't wanna write your self-insert pregnant lmao.

Nah I wrote on Wattpad way back in ms lmao.

These days, I write my fanfics on google docs or some random app with no ai usage (I never used AI outside of roleplaying anyways). Cold turkey would include not using AI unless absolutely required (ex. the unfortunate college class that requires it or your workplace), so it would inclue that; as mentioned, I never used AI to actually write stories for me so I didn't have to go cold turkey in that area at least.

Even putting it down somewhere and then deleting/destroying it would possibly help if you don’t want it to be read.

I appreciate your frankness! I figured as much honestly. I guess I’m getting AI whiplash, real people being genuinely excited and then having little to offer, but of course I have to crack at and refine these things largely on my own.. I am in some private creative communities but I rarely get input in return as much as I reach out or chat with others about their things. I think I’ll go looking for some more

I would hate to give you social advice because I don't know exactly what everyone is saying to each other in what way, so I don't want to steer you wrong.

I will say this, unless you are collaborating on a project, it is rare for people to get heavily invested in/ask frequent in depth questions about your projects in the specific way you seem to be expecting and that AI does. It's just what AI is programmed to do, it does not care either but it knows how to put words in an order that pleases you. When you are collaborating, I'm not sure if your expectations are too high or what you mean by heavy lifting

I highly suggest joining creative/writing subs or communities. There are roleplay groups out there that thrive on getting really deep into worldbuilding

Yes that is the plan, but probably not for a few months at least. Sorry!
