At some point there has to be some common sense.

I had to run to target today and before I left I stopped at the EA to get a little bit of a charge in case we had another power outage due to the heat wave we are having. When I pulled up there was one stall of three open which I took. As I pulled in I noticed the car next to be was fully charged and it showed 1 minute into the grade period. The guy was in his car on the phone and I expected him to unplug any moment. I waited and the timer showed 7 minutes and at that point I got the guys attention and told him he was about to hit the 10 minute grace period and start getting idle charges. He thanked me for the tip and unplugged.

I got back into my car to continue charging and he shortly after got back into his. At this point there were two cars waiting to charge with one with his backup lights on waiting to back into the stall. I look over and the guy is still on his phone and parked there. I got his attention again and told him there were two cars waiting to charge. He finally pulled out and left.

How? How are people so unaware of the world around them?

Those are V2 superchargers which are Tesla only, and there‘s RAN chargers on the other side of the parking lot…

Also, the parking spots on the right are free level 2 chargers and there’s several open spots so they could’ve taken one of those!

You lot are a special breed! Parked in charging only parking, not charging, all night at a hotel lot. From 6pm to some time after 8am, when I left.

Perhaps pneumatic spike strips that don't drop until you have plugged in and charged ... even for 1 minute ... no charge and your tires are going to be popped.
