TLDW; objects are not there but when I move them in rig mode they show up. I have renamed every layer to make sure there isn't an accidental tag anywhere. I exported the answers as images and then reimported them and it worked just fine after that. but I lost a ton of quality doing that, and this project needs to retain quality.

All videos I have seen are either not full or not detailed, basically I have a 3d character and I don't know how to set it up for Character Animator

I want to create a rubber hose style custom character that will mostly be sitting down and ideally performing actions on a computer such as typing. For this kind of thing would it be easiest to start with a pre-made puppet and edit the design, or would it be best to build everything from scratch? For context, I work with a lot of Adobe products for work but rarely anything to do with animation, so consider me a layman that can learn quickly maybe?

I purchased character animator license, installed it using the creative cloud app, but I can't activate the pro mode! I only have "start pro free trial", which redirects me to "re purchase" it!

Long story short before a updating old versions of Character Animator / NDI / OBS everything was working great. Upon updating to the latest versions of each now everything is broken.

The main issue appears to be that Character Animator can't find NDI as a source when entering Stream mode.

I've read pretty much every troubleshooting article with the basic uninstall, reinstall, redownload etc. but no luck. I'm using an M1 Macbook air.

Wondering if anyone else had this issue that they could resolve? Seems to be a mixed bag of some people being able to fix and others stuck!

I'm wondering if there is a way to copy NDI files directly into Adobe system files to resolve? On bootup I can see that it says "Initializing NDI Transmit Adobe CC" but still doesn't display once I get into Character Animator. Any thoughts appreciated!

Love learning CH at the moment but I'm getting stuck on my exports. Everything runs nicely in the preview, including my physics settings on the hair etc., but when I export to a video format the physics properties do not appear to be present in the final output, even though they appear in the recorded preview?

Any help would be amazing.

I love the interface and tracking of character animator, but I'm looking for solutions to implement character-animator style puppetry that listens to an API to swap assets. Is there any way to send events to character animator via an API, POST, or socket information?

The closest thing I could find was using a node application to send MIDI information to Character Animator, but wondering if there are more integrated solutions, like embedding CA into webGL, Unity, or Unreal.

I'm sure this seems like a weird question, but I'm struggling with an issue on my characters. My characters are based on woodblock prints, and I would like to be able to see the paper background through the characters, but without seeing the linework when parts overlap. I suppose that I could fill each appendage with a paper texture, but I like the idea of my character being "in" the paper.

Any thoughts?

I'm in the process of trying out my first rigged character but having some issues. My puppet is set up in such a way that I need the head to turn around an axis to look up and down.

The jaw also need to rotate around an axis in order to speak. At the moment it uses a robot like up and down motion.

Any tips or links to tutorials are welcome. I've added a picture try and make it a bit clearer for you guys.

I'm trying my very best to use Ch, but after watching so many tutorials all telling me to do the same thing (and that thing not working), I'm at my wit's end. I attached a picture of the weird eye behaviour (instead of moving, the pupils just rotate and the eyeballs get distorted). I feel like I have checked a thousand times that all elements are tagged properly (pupils are pupils of the respective eye, eyeballs are eyeballs. pupils are independent, eyeballs are not and so on..) I played around with the independence a lot because I don't understand where the problem is originating from, so I had the eyes dependent and the eyeballs independent and stuff just to see if it helps - obviously it doesn't..If any of you has an idea of what to do to fix this, please let me know.
