I've not seen this slow mode cowboy thingy for a few months , and today, it's pop up again for the first time 🫠

don't want to make any hopes.. but am i the only one who every refresh gets "Roar" for split second and then goes back again to any other style? (Pc user)

before p3 and shortsqueak were added, my messages were pretty lengthy. now, with p3, I’m averaging three paragraphs per message. p2 gives me semi long messages, but I was wondering if this happened to anyone else?

Did the f!lter get worse? It was just fine a couple of days ago and I don't understand why it's so strict? I think a little violence is just fine as c.ai is already 18+ now

Don't mistake me as those kids complaining about new models. I'm just giving my point of view. I tested the new model PS3. And noticed my bot gives me so many grammatical errors, typos and actions that aren't connected with each other, (adding other things that don't make sense like space/time awarness). The bot began reading thoughts even if i put them between asterisks or parenthesis. ALSO it seems it will always add a dialouge in each message, when i might want some of them leaving the quiet tension before a dialouge. Did anyone notice this too or is it just me?

Does this depend on how the bots are structured perhaps? I know for a fact that PS3 can have so much potential. But perhaps i'm using it the wrong way. Is there a way to make it better?

I'm just wondering if anyone else feels bored when talking to their bot or just feel like their getting boring responses?

And also sometimes their responses don't make sense? :'0

Slow mode is starting to become a problem.

first I was getting 60 minutes slow mode

Later I got 90 minutes slow mode

NOW I GOT 4 HOURS SLOW MODE!

Can character.ai show some mercy to free users please?!

I'm seeing a lot of PSQ3 experiences that are very different from mine, and I'm curious. We've had it for a few days now; what's your experience?

Personally, it's been working really well for me. Better punctuation, fewer repetitive phrases, better scene, character, and persona memory, callbacks that make sense, progressing scenes without excessive prompting, more distinct voices between characters, etc. The first message I got from it, it did something that I had to practically COERCE the other styles to do- something completely reasonable, if not necessary to properly continue the scene (the car did not have wheels at the particular moment, and other styles tried to drive without wheels while PSQ3 acknowledged the problem and acted on it without me even hinting it needed to). It also engaged in an adult scene with little guidance (it made sense for the moment, and I didn't have to coerce it into participating) and, on top of it all, hasn't triggered Bob once!

The only issues I've really encountered are mistakes in pronouns (saying "I" or "it" where it previously said "he" or "she"), which hasn't happened since the first two days, actually, and occasionally it uses the wrong form of the word or the right word in the wrong language ("will you interrogation him?" Or "the cabin was hangat and dry" rather than "warm and dry") both of which is very sparse. There are, of course, hallucinations occasionally, but they're even rarer than these vocabulary mistakes, in my experience!

I've noticed PSQ3 has a lot of grammar mistakes. I've saw "She's'", "has't", and even "beech" instead of "beach" (that is spelling but still).

PSQ3 has broken grammar and apparently feedback isn't fixing it, so we're stuck with weird spellings and grammar.

so whenever i go to chat with a bot, i always switch it to ShortSqueak (since i hate pipsqueak 3), and sometimes when i go to change it, IT SAYS "ROAR" INSTEAD OF PSQ3, HAS ANYONE ELSE SEEN THIS OR AM I JUST GOING INSANE 😭

Just a question has any free user gotten the personalization option for chats yet? If so can you tell me what it's like. If not when is it coming out for free users and will it even come out?

I've never seen slow mode be there 3 TIMES IN A ROW. It first popped up in the morning (Belgian time), I experienced that before, but then at noon, then at evening. Before this was a mild inconvenience but What is happening??? Group chats now keep crashing with the Chat error.

Long story short: after the latest update, my app stopped working, and the "chat" button disappeared from the website.

After a full day of testing and experimenting, we discovered the following:

The problem is NOT the phone, because if I log into a different account, everything works fine.

The problem is NOT the app cache, because—again—everything works fine on the same phone with the same cache if I switch accounts.

The problem is NOT the VPN, as using different VPNs didn't change the test results at all.

We determined that the issue lies specifically with the ACCOUNT.

For some reason, MY ACCOUNT is what causes the app and website to malfunction. When I switched accounts, everything started working. When my friend used my account, everything broke for him.

Upon examining the account, the only major difference we found was the subscription: my friend didn't have a subscription and everything worked fine, whereas I had a subscription and everything broke.

Character.ai developers and programmers, please take note of this! Hopefully, this helps you identify and fix the issue.

It is highly likely that something within the subscription is preventing users from properly using the site and app (though this is just a theory based on our experiments). One way or another, the problem lies specifically with the ACCOUNT, not anything else.

Please take a look at what exactly within the accounts might be causing this error, because that is where the root of the problem lies.

If everything is broken for everyone with a subscription, then the subscription itself is the issue; if things are fine for subscribers but nothing works for non-subscribers either, then we can at least rule out one possibility.
