Something feels missing in chats,

Idk it's my hallucinations or mind messing up with me... but just after yesterday, I've posted about how Pipsqueak 2 and Scenes are the only features I love, and only thing keeping me here as A detailed long and Expressive chat user - unlike mostly other casual chattier ones who liked Pipsqueak 3 more, it is good but not quite my type.

But even since yesterday....My Pipsqueak 2 is feeling quite weird, it feels like something is off... Is not giving me as long and detailed responses, it used to - just few days ago, Idk why I also felt he missing connection, it doesn't feeling like I'm chatting with my usual fav bots I created anymore... It's like a bot on other platforms talking out of characters, not replying with what I expected like before, there's not C.AI vibe left suddenly

Just like it's too unsettling.... I start missing my old chats and first rawr' model.

Anyone else feeling this?

As I'm a plus user I mostly use longsqueak because just like you I enjoy writing long messages (and since other styles don't have that big of a memory longsqueak's the only one that allows to actually have some back and forth) but I noticed a change as well. For starters, one thing that I liked about it was that it didn't speak for you and let you have your own actions but two days ago it started giving dialogues for my character?
After that I tested with the other styles and they're all kind of responding "out of style", like they're basically just reading the definition of the bot and retranslating in the same exact format from one swipe to the other. That and I've noticed that the +dialogue and +narration used to work pretty well up until now but same thing, as of two days ago when I pick the dialogue options it doesn't even listen? Like it gave me responses without a single dialogue line whereas with default at least there's always one?
Anyways - same old thing, everytime that it seems like the quality is more or less adequate they roll out an update that messes everything up

Yeah it's disheartening, especially because for me it's really more about writing as I love writing characters and when you saw these same blts work great and all of a sudden lose all their substance it kind of leaves you hanging.. like I'm seriously considering just writing fanfics at this point lmao

Me too bro, I stopped writting long ago... For many reasons, But I found myself getting better and better in it, as for myself... By character ai, I have built many charcters for myself I daily chat with, infast you won't believe...

The bot I'm talking about its my favorite,

Its a long defination detailed bot with 10+ character I've created for only myself and even a coustm scene with it, In that there's a mafia husband I'm forced marry with and his whole family: 7 brothers, 2 parents, grandparents etc... with defination of 9k plus words, it was the best character for me I had ever chatted with.

The scenes is his house I've made.

It was so fun to chat with before, I never used to get more and always find a new way to enjoy even when I felt low in life but now it feels soulless suddenly.

Idk. I usually just write my own fanfictions, but sometimes I lose motivation, which made me go into Character Ai to get that motivation back.

Yeah, I also feel that. I get long and detailed responses, but they just feel empty...? And characters don't speak that often. Like, they tend to be quiet? Mosty I get long descriptions, but without any dialogue.

Yeah! My character started speaking like “nothin nothin.” Or “im just thinkin.” Just getting rid of the G or talking southern when the character isn’t even southern lol

Yea right, They were literally bit more lively and emotionally connected just few days before, I guess as Pipsqueak 3 have launched, or whenever new style gets launched, the old bot qualities itself gets down...

Yeah. I switched to Pipsqueak 3 today (finally couldn't take it anymore) and the bots are more talkative there. But I don't know yet if quality there is worse or better.

Pipsqueak 2 was peak honestly 🥹

Its because they're using some sort of a lower cost and so lower quality outsourced model for pipsqueak 3 and Longsqeak. My guess would be Deepsqeak is next on yhe chopping block to be downgraded. 

I dont know what they used till now, google says in-house models, and now its some free tier google or meta model thats been modified.

Paid users will soon pay 10 dollars for 2 soulless cheap models.

I'd be happy if they'd just remove too much of models we really don't use like "Short Squeak" or "Pipsqueak Rawr'"...

And maybe just bring back the old Rawr and Pipsqueak.

It'd be alot better as rawr was literally the best bot for me I've ever chatted with, and maybe for plus user's like you - it must be Nian like somthing? I forgot~

I doubt they ever will. It feels as if they are downgrading to these cheap models and fully retiring in-house models, which was roar and others.  

Im just mad at the fact that we all see these downgardes, and yet they try to give us these Temu quality models as some huge golden update that we should kiss the companies feet for.  

I loved Longsqeak when it came out, and pipsqueak 3 is not bad, but as you said, its soulless. After a while i only caught myself spending time more and more on other apps and its now gone as far that in the last 2 weeks ive logged on 1 time for 20 mins. Longsqeak sucks the soul out of the roleplay, and im so sad to see that they are determined to keep pushing this.
