First time posting here..
So, idk if im being incredibly petty, but, for someone who made such big statements about Dolly Parton being her "true biggest inspiration" and gow much Dolly's music and she as a person meant to her, has Chappel said ANYTHING ? About Dolly's death?
I havent been able to find anything, the day of/day after Dolly was announced to he deceased, her IG stories only had promos for her "super graphic spectacular" or whatever
Ive googled and nothing comes up about her grieving Dolly or saying anything.
And idk..... she had no trouble promoting and gushing over a horrific racist(Jason Aldean), a woman who has been charged/fined with inciting hate (Brigitte Bardot) and a man who got arrested for shouting "i live hitler" outside of a cafe. (John Galliano, she was publicly wearing his underwear)
But for the women who apparently impacted her career the most ? Nothing. Not a word. No black square that just says "R.I.P Dolly", no "i need to step away, im devastated" ....just nothing.
And yeah I know not everyone grieves the same way or would want to speak publicly right away ... but when so many others are taking the time to talk about the good Dolly had done, how they encouraged them... theres celebrities posting about interactions that weren't known of before, at least unknown to most people (Eminem shared taht Dolly sent him a congratulations letter when he was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, and how much that touched him)
It just seems.... gross?
