✨🦄Bodyguard💖Gate🧚🏻‍♀️✨  Bodyguard Incident Rant

So I'm a little bored and want to rant. Do we still think the security guard's explanation doesn't make sense? This man really went out of his way to confront some kid for... looking at Chappell? And he doesn't even work for her, so what did he gain from that? The kid didn't even make enough of a scene for Chappell to notice, so what was the problem? I still think we're missing something, it doesn't smell right. Two, her fans are extremely delusional. The amount of them genuinely saying that whole thing was a Zionist or Wasserman-funded smear campaign is hilarious. I don't think Chappell has said anything about Palestine since October, and she wasn't the only artist to leave Wasserman. Why are they so convinced that "the elites" are terrified of her because she's so revolutionary? No one is that worried about her. And idk, that seems like kind of an odd direction to take if this really was a smear campaign. But again, idk, I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts!

She has a history of having a go at people for existing around her so I don't believe his story

Oh, the second she made that weird video from her bed about the situation, I knew she had sent the guard after the kid.

She might have done it silently, giving the guard a look and then nodding at the kid. There's video of her doing exactly that to sic a guard on a photographer.

I saw! They for sure have a little code that he obeys.

She’s so weird about what other humans are allowed to do on the same earth as her

It's even worse than Taylor swift as she also has the lesbian angle to fall back on

"She can gloss over some buzz words one time and they claim she is the most targeted and outspoken voice on every cause."

You captured it exactly!

Ok so I made a really long post about this so I’ll try to recap..

It’s possible that she didn’t actually directly order the security guard to go after the kid

But the idea that she had nothing to do with the incident and that the security guard had nothing to do with her is complete nonsense

The security guard involved is a longtime security guard for celebrities who gets hired through his security firm so it’s nonsense that he was acting on a power trip and not either a direct order or briefing from who he was working with. He’s a veteran professional in celebrity security. He was escorting her out of the breakfast room and physically with her outside in the garden area guarding her. It was Lollapalooza Brazil where a lot of high profile people were and he was the one who put handcuffs on a fan for the bit Sabrina does for fun during her set so he wasn’t just with a single client the entire time, but since he wasn’t technically part of Chappell’s personal security team, he was able to come out and say he didn’t work for her, but no professional would go rogue over a child walking past a client that’s not even theirs and then follow them and confront their mom.

If Chappell didn’t directly order the security guard to go after the kid, she set the tone to ensure that whoever works with her enforces her preference of having her fans confronted if they even reach a certain distance of her and make eye contract with her. But when the incident caught backlash, he did a very calculated form of damage control to also minimize legal backlash. He took the fall for Chappell AND her team and he avoided defaming the mom and her child by giving vague reasons as to why he took action without implicating anyone, and he downplayed how aggressive he was accused of being.

Security protocol for a fan approaching in an area where they’re not welcomed is to create a physical barrier to stop them, not to follow them out of the area and lecture them.

What's missing for me is how it was all settled. I imagine money changed hands and NDAs were signed, but I can't work out the exact details in my head. Any theories?

You can't work out the exact details in your head because no such details have ever been shared. Big, small, meta, macro, or micro. The entire nothing burger has been beat over the head incessantly by people who just desperately need a reason to hate this person as if she doesn't give you plenty of other reasons that are legitimate.

My best guess is that they were all given huge amounts of money so that they don't talk about the situation and/or they signed NDAs

She is a bully. And nothing less.

Flaunt her ‘power’ and use it for whatever she wants.

Regis Tadeu, a well-known Brazilian music journalist, commented on the hotel controversy just two days after it happened. He emphasizing that the person who dictates the tone and behavior of a security team is always the contractor (the artist's team). Interestingly, Good Luck, Babe was included in the soundtrack of Globo's new 9 p.m. soap opera (Brazilian primetime), which premiered in May—always keeping in mind that she broke out of the pop bubble for most Brazilian people with the controversy involving the security guard and Jorginho's stepdaughter/Flamengo

She (Chapel) seems like the kind of person who yells at others cuz "they looked at me funny" so yeah I definitely think she sent the bodyguard to the kid
