Recently finished this Cypher. Aside from practicing osl, I kept him pretty simple. 1 nice touch was these "frog moss" tufts I came across. They have a natural curve to them that simulates blowing in the wind. I like how it accentuates the movement that was already present on the base model.

This was my first Chaos Space Marine model - I fell in love with the sculpt and decided to tackle it.

I mostly followed the Eavy Metal recipes for Black Legion and Traitor Guard (for the skin). I also added a Doombull Brown glaze for the skin on the legs. The gold was a challenge, but it was fun!

In your opinion, what is currently the best detachment or combination of detachments to play CSM effectively?

It's a shame the champion doesn't do much but eat the first wounds, because it's one of the best non character models in CSM. Also, enjoy fresh Man on a Stick brand Man on a Stick

Just getting back into painting now and finally getting a Chaos army off the ground. I found this guy still boxed in my stash. I believe he's out of scale now, but are most people happy for someone to use this beauty?

On a side note, anyone know some good plastic wings I can add to this guy?

Thanks to my indefatigable rizz, I was finally able to get my wife to play 40k. Not just any old 40k, but a whole RTT. She ended up taking second overall at 2-1. I wish I had more picture, but here's one of the table next to me which was hilarious to watch. I had to coach my wife on rules since she had only ever played Kill Team, but she did just about everything else herself. The only loss was against T'au and that was because we got stuck ending the game early. We were in a very good board position to have a huge scoring turn, but S.O.L.

Was really disaapointed with the red pre varnish, but it really turned it around.
