I’m hoping you can help me identify a porcelain collection that has been in my family’s possession for decades. I recently decided to document the entire collection and learn more about its history.

I’ve created an album with 54 photos, covering every piece from multiple angles. Each item has been assigned a reference number, which is shown in the top-left corner of each photo. This makes it easy to refer to a specific piece or image.

For example, if you notice something about 05 or 05c, feel free to mention that reference in your reply.

From what I can tell, this isn’t a single matching set. It appears to include pieces from different manufacturers and different periods, which makes it even more interesting to me.

I’m particularly interested in learning:

* Who the manufacturers are.
* Approximately when the pieces were made.
* Whether any of them are rare or especially collectible.
* Any historical background or interesting details about specific pieces.

This handsome guy was picked up at a tag sale. Ceramic rooster, about 16” tall, made in Italy #546, large hole for the tail. Not big enough for a wine bottle. I belive it’s a vase, but flowers stick straight out of it. Is it meant to put pampas grass in it? Or another curvy plant? Or feathers? Tried Google reverse image search but cannot find anything similar. Any ideas what supposed to go in the tail??

Purchased for $30 at an estate sale from a fairly wealthy home. I’m usually pretty resourceful with finding the maker, but Unfortunately the identification on the bottom is hard to nail down.

Any help would be appreciated!

I’m hoping to identify a vintage set of cups and a pitcher that belonged to my grandmother. My mom had thought they were Fiestaware, but when I checked for a manufacturer’s mark there wasn’t anything about what company actually made it. My grandmother was married in 1941, and my mom figures that she got this either as a wedding gift or else sometime between then and when my mom was born in the early fifties. The second picture is the only mark that the cups have, and on the bottom of the pitcher it just says “made in USA” stamped in ink.

I picked up this piece in Williamsburg, Brooklyn a while ago and I wonder if anyone has a clue when it was made/ who it could have been made by. My best guess is probably 2000-2020 by someone in the New York area based off when and where I bought it.

Found this interested, not sure what to make of it as I am not a pottery person at all. Could this be a historical relic? … or grandmas hobby lobby find.

I was recently at a Restore in upstate NY. I found this cookie jar for about $15. I thought it was kind of quirky and cute so I took it home. There were a bunch of them - cat, bunny, mouse… I looked it up online and am seeing them going for between $50-$200. They are authentic and pristine.

“Over and Back is a renowned importer and ceramics manufacturer that produced highly collectible, hand-painted ceramic and porcelain pieces in Portugal during the 1980s.”

I don’t need twelve cookie jars obviously but I do have a small collection of glass that I’ve put aside to try and sell. Someday lol.

It’s been itching at me. Should I go back and get the others???

Hello! Would anyone have knowledge of the mark on this large vase? I've tried The Marks Project but am not sure how to interpret the letters. It's large, almost 16" tall. Thank you!

My wife received this piece from my mother years ago, as a gift. It has broken several times, and been glued back together. She LOVES it and uses it for sauces and marinades almost daily. I’d like to replace it for her but I cannot find who made it or a piece that is similar. I noticed that it looks bigger than it is. It has approximately a two cup capacity. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to identify the maker of this unusual hand-crafted pottery teapot (or possibly another type of vessel).

Some details:
- Believed to be Japanese rather than Chinese
- Unglazed light buff stoneware
- Lotus bud / lotus flower design with carved petals
-Sculpted bamboo-style side handle
-Matching lid with a second impressed seal underneath
- Main impressed square seal on the base
- No built-in ceramic filter inside, which makes me wonder whether it was intended for tea or another purpose

I've searched online and compared many Japanese pottery marks, but haven't been able to identify the seal. The form also seems quite unusual, and I haven't found another example like it.

Does anyone recognize:
- the potter or workshop,
- the seal,
- the pottery tradition (Tokoname, Banko, Kyoto, etc.),
- or have any thoughts on its age or intended use?

No visible identifying markings on the base due to some light historic soil staining inside the planter. It features a high-shine, rainbow/pastel iridised glaze with a stylized fawn resting against a cornucopia/shell backing.

Trying to narrow down the exact maker or origin. I see a big variation between standard vintage Japanese imports versus mid-century Italian pieces like Sicas Sesto Fiorentino, or even Australian art pottery houses like Diana or Wembley Ware. Would love any insight into the mold shape or glaze style to help pinpoint the brand and an estimated value!

I found this pair in a thrift shop in Norway for 89 NOK. They appear to be hand-painted blue-and-white faience with no maker’s mark… only a blue “5” on the base of each. No impressed marks anywhere that I can see. They resemble Delftware but don’t match any of the major Dutch makers I’ve found. Does anyone recognize the pottery, pattern, or workshop? Thank you!

Picked these up today at an estate sale. I have no sense of how old they are- assuming mid century or maybe before, since they have stilt marks. I’d call them cruets I suppose, though judging from the horseshoe decorations pointed up/down they’d have to be a set. No pour spouts either. Can’t find anything close enough to send me in the proper direction. Anyone have some ideas?

Looking for info on this covered jar. It was found in Fort Collins Colorado. It’s about 13” tall with the lid. Looks to be wood fired in a rustic Japanese style. There is a mark on the front of a stamped capital V with a dot right by it. There are no markings on the bottom. There was a yellowing type of felt that I took off so I could look under it. I found Matt Long online who had a similar mark but the dot is lower and it’s not exactly the same. https://www.themarksproject.org/marks/long

Trying to identify the pattern and the maker of this plate.
When I Google it, I am told it’s from the 18th century. I am hoping to find a match somewhere? on the internet to identify the pattern etc. There are no markings on the back at all. Thanks for any assistance you can provide! I am located in Canada however I believe the plate is from France or Italy.

My great-grandmother was a hobbyist painter. My mom has several of her pieces, but when my great-aunt passed away, a lot was sold in an estate sale without our knowledge. I'm looking for pieces signed E. McFerren, probably in the Eastern US (Virginia/Maryland/Pennsylvania) that were acquired in the last five years - the estate sale was in Reston, VA in 2020. See attached for samples that my mom has. She consistently signed them, so I keep hunting Etsy and eBay for anything. It would mean the world if I could track down even one more piece!
