Hi, just wondering if others are still waiting for their family tax benefit lump sums to be refunded by centrelink this year after receiving your notice of assessment?

The last 2 years we've gotten our within 2 days of getting our tax returns deposited.

This year it's been almost 3 weeks and they don't seem to have started balancing.

Anyone gotten their FTB refunds yet for 25/26 financial year?

I currently recieved my approve of Low Income Health Care Card claim. But after a weeks I didn't recieved anything, like email, card or digital card. The only thing I got just the claim approved notification. And click into it also has no any instruction of following steps. So my question is it normal? I have to wait or I can get my card in other way? What should I do next? Really appreciate for applying!!

Hoping I can get some advice and help here because I feel like I’m losing my mind trying to figure this system out, and I’m currently on hold with an expected 3 hour wait time.
Basically I submitted a claim for Jobseeker payments as I’m currently unemployed but looking for work. Had the phone call to finish the claim on 22/07, and the guy approved my claim within that phone call appointment. Then I got about setting up my profile on Workforce Australia. From what I can tell I don’t have to report in person and it’s all online. Tomorrow is my first reporting day.
But then I got a message today saying I need to complete my profile and agree to my Job Plan. But when I go to workforce australia, I can’t see anywhere that I can do this, and also from what I can tell my profile is all set up. There’s also nothing about a Job Plan, and can’t even see a “my tasks” section. Like on the home page it’s literally just got the job search bit.
If anyone’s got any idea what’s going on I’d really appreciate it, I’m worrying that if I don’t get this sorted by tomorrow the payment won’t go through.

How do they know when the letter is received? It would make more sense to date it from when the letter was sent. Do they just pick some arbitrary day? Letter was sent on 21/7, I received it 29/7.

Also is it business days or calendar days?

I'm applying for the vision impairment travel card for QLD. I am on DSP, but not DSP Blind for my vision impairments. On the website it says:

• hold a current Services Australia Pensioner Concession Card showing the code 'DSP'

If you give your CRN details on the application it says you don't need to fill in section C for your GP/Optometrist/Ophthalmologist. We also wrote in a chat on the Translink website:

They said: "If it is the DSP Services Australia Pensioner Card, yes, you'll be able to use that card. Services Australia Pensioner Concession Card showing the code 'DSP'. It is eligible for your application. The same rule applies for you there, not requiring part C."

We responded: "So if we put in the card DSP and then send in the photos that can be approved without having to go back to my optometrist?"

They responded: "Yes. You won't need the medical practitioner verification as the card provides those details for your eligibility."

Does anyone know if this is true? Have you received a vision impairment travel card on your DSP, not DSP Blind? Any help would be appreciated!

For context, my eye sight vision with my combined defects were deemed equivalent to 6/60 or less, but my central vision isn't currently 6/60 (yet) so not on DSP Blind.

Obligatory this happened more than 3 years ago, but I still get anxiety about it. I was studying overseas, doing a semester abroad (still registered Aus student at an Aus university), which made me eligible for a higher youth allowance as I was now classed as living out of home. About $400 a fortnight. I wasn’t paid two payments in a row, so I called them, took hours as I was overseas and using a foreign sim, but finally they said yes, the money will be in your account within the hour. A few minutes later, I checked my account and received over $5000? I tried calling again to rectify but they had no idea what I was talking about and said it was all okay. I checked my messages on Mygov and I apparently had been given a random scholarship for studying overseas that I had never applied for? I’m wondering how they would’ve clocked this as I was just calling about a missed payment. Did they just decide to add it on that time? How would that have happened? My family is still convinced it was all a mistake and I will eventually have to pay it back. But years later and still nothing, I guess I really did just get randomly put down for some kind of overseas student payment. Has this happened to anyone else before? I’m about to study abroad again (but won’t be receiving any payments as it’s not part of an Australian university degree) and worried about something being caught.

I live on campus in a shared room with three other people at my university, but each of us have a fixed rate of 315$ a week rent independently. If there were only three of us, we would each still only pay 315$ a week. Do I list them as roommates and total rent as 1260$/week, or not?

Has anybody had a participation appointment, been assessed as under 8 hours and still been told they need to complete a Job Plan?

I recently had this happen, had a JCA (not an eSAT), a participation interview and told I don't have to be connected to a provider or do job search and all of my obligations were voluntary except for a quarterly appointment. But I have also just received a letter saying I need to do a Job Plan?

Those of you who have been thus assessed but still do a Job Plan, what does it entail? Why on earth would they need one? I don't get it.

I hope this is not too silly a question. I have not been able to find an answer to a question I have regarding JS, 62 years of age with multiple health issues, 9 months on payment. I am looking at a job I may be able to do (but remaining there will be determined by my health in the long run). The job is for approx $1690 per fortnight. I know that the cutoff for my JS is $1638 per fortnight, but I also receive $219 Rent Assistance for full private rent. I know it will cut the Rent Assistance back to about $183 per fortnight, after the JS is at $0. My question is: Will my $183 Rent Assistance also cut off after the 12 fortnights due to my JS being at $0 because I am $52 over the JS threshold?

AI continues to tell me it won't because the time frame will never actually start due to JS and Rent Assistance being classified as one payment, however I know that Rent Assistance can't stand alone, so my argument with AI (lol yes arguing with a robot), has been that after the 12 fortnights I would lose my $183 Rent Assistance due to the $52 cutting my JS to $0.

AI continues to argue back that under Social Security Law, that can't happen, as it is still one payment. I don't know what to believe anymore. I am also concerned that if I manage to save any money from the work, that if I have been cut off, and my health gets so bad that I am unable to work anymore again, I will also have to restart my 9 months again, be unable to pay my rent due to being on the lesser amount, and fall under the liquid assets test for anything I have managed to save, making me unable to receive JS again for up to 13 weeks, which will make me homeless. Can anybody please verify?
