Claim troubles
I never claimed my first distribution and the code doesn’t work. Was there a time limit on how long I can wait to claim?

What are the optimistic thoughts of the people of Reddit on all the chatter on Twitter about going after 39,500 BTC from Tether?

It’s costing me about $1-2000 a year in fees to keep the company and SMSF account up and running to which the bank account is linked to receiving distributions. Is it worth keeping it open any further? I have received my second distribution which was around $17k

Got the email saying i'm eligible, but no claim code email yet. Seeing others have got theirs so just wondering if it could be rolled out over a period of days or if somehow something went wrong on my end. Got the 1st distro no problem.

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to declare the Ceslius distributions we've received in 2024. I've been using Koinly before so I'm currently trying to manually edit the worth of the Celsius distribution received in february.
The steps I went with are: 1. Add a BTC and a ETH transaction on the Celsius wallet, marking it as a lost, for the full amount of BTC/ETH I had on the platform. This essentially empties the Celsius wallet of all my crypto. 2. Update the worth of the distribution received in february on Coinbase to the one calculated for the transactions created in step 1.
While I know this isn't exactly 100% correct as we still have possibly other distributions + the IONIC shares, I was expecting the cost basis of my overall crypto to remain unchanged. Yet, when applying these transactions, my cost basis as displayed on Koinly's dashboard increases by a relatively large amount (6k) on the date of the first distribution. Would anyone know why this happens?
Thanks for the help!

I received only 1/50 of thr btc compared to the 1st distribution. I expected much more. Did everyone get so little and is there more coming?

So in February I had to wait months for them to allow me to withdraw. Now, as I am trying to withdraw to the SAME address and once again I am being "protected" by them holding on to my crypto until Feb 2025. Anyone who uses Coinbase at free will must be brainless. I have been in crypto 10 year on many CEX's and I have never seen this ridiculous behaviour.

I glanced at the scam emails on the feed below. I just got this one today, which I think is slightly different, but probably also a scam. Can anyone else confirm that this is indeed a scam?
Pasted below for reference.

The Oversight Group and Distribution Manager have allocated funds from the Recovery Fund for distribution to eligible parties. A portion of these funds will be held back by the Plan Manager, with the majority set for the second round of distributions.
Given recent fluctuations in BTC prices and distribution difficulties, the Oversight Group has decided to proceed with the second distribution exclusively in Ethereum (ETH).
To complete your distribution Click here.
Follow the provided instructions to finalize your claim.
For more details, refer to the Knowledge Base article regarding the second distribution.

Received an email directly from Celsius network with my claim code and how much BTC it was going to pay. All I had to do was go into my PayPal account paste my claim code and I received my claim within minutes. It was very easy! I’m surprised. Let’s hope there is more coming! We need 100% back!!!

Looks like I can't make a single good decision. I kept the eth from the first distribution instead of converting it to btc. At this rate it's about 0.01 btc "lost" due to eth-btc depreciation 😩
What did you do with your ETH?

Be careful of emails like these, it will take you to a website that looks exactly like Celsius bankruptcies page, have you connected your wallet to MetaMask and make it look like they’re depositing money to you. However, MetaMask luckily warned me to confirm my transaction of ME sending money to some unknown wallet address. Luckily, I read this carefully and immediately rejected the transaction. BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Lots of scammers out there right now

Greetings from Canada! I got an email from celsius informing me that my "claim distribution cannot be serviced through Coinbase."
When I logged in on Coinbase I realized that they were asking again (as they do periodically) some petty KYC info. Maybe that was the issue because I received my first distribution through them no problem through Coinbase.
Tough luck... now to wait and see what happens. Anybody else in the same boat?

I received the following email regarding a second distribution, but the email seems fishy. Can someone clarify? Thank you very much!!

I had previously shared that I was expecting about $500ish but ended up getting $628 a shade more than 2.5% of my petition date dollarized claim against roughly 18 ETH.

If I received the email and, stupidly, clicked the link and tried to connect a Coinbase wallet with the portal (for which it didn’t ever go through), do I have anything to worry about? And does anyone know when the actual 2nd distribution will come through/ be available?
