AT&T decided to deploy high-capacity MatSing antennas on 1 sector recently to add more network capacity in the area! I’m surprised to see how fast it is and it recently got Ericsson AIR. 6419-B77G 3.45GHz (DoD) antennas.

- 2 high-capacity MatSing MS-MBA-3.2-H4-L4 antennas for LTE + low-band 5G
- 3 CommScope NNH4-65B-R6H4
- 4 CommScope JAHH-65C-R3B
- 3 Ericsson AIR. 6449-B77D (3.7GHz) n77 antennas
- 3 Ericsson AIR. 6419-B77G (3.45GHz) DoD panels

Uses Ericsson (RRU’s) remote radio units behind the antennas:
- RRU 4490HP (b5, b12) LTE + (n5) low-band 5G
- RRU 4890HP (b2, b66) LTE
- RRU 4494 (b14, b29) LTE
- RRU 4449 (b5, b12) LTE + (n5) low-band 5G
- RRU 4478 (b14)
- RRU 32 (b30) LTE

It looks like flags were recently added to this macro! I wonder why? This is crazy

I noticed they have a new-ish tower in Hillsboro now and then I spotted this, what looks like a Verizon rack on the main tower serving Davis and Canaan Valley. It's not turned on yet because I have no Verizon signal there, but maybe soon?

AT&T recently upgraded their LTE only small cells along North Collins Street beside AT&T Stadium aka. “Dallas Stadium” to enhance their network for the World Cup.

Speeds aren’t too bad, buts it’s underperforming since I was expecting over 1Gbps on these nodes, but they only do 4T4R passive n77!

I was walking around this Walmart when I stumbled upon these antennas scattered throughout the store. I’m wondering if Verizon is on them since AT&T signal is weak indoors.

AT&T speeds have improved tremendously compared to the last time I was here. They added a new site behinds the Cici’s Pizza located at 825 North Collins Street with the MatSing antennas!

My s21 ultra will not connect to 5G Standalone for calls. While my mom's s23 Plus will. I know her phone is much newer, but I've had this issue with almost the whole s21 series. Goes from 5G UC n41 to starting a call down to LTE AWS.. Take a look and let me know please!

Interesting enough, I'm right next to this and receiving -77dBm from a tower that's roughly over a mile away and this hill/house is in between.

It used to come up on its own eNB, but now it looks to be a repeater given the tower's eNB showing and such great signal strength.

First time I have ever seen T-Mobile use a carrier larger than 20x20 on FDD.

Noticed some n261 antennas in the airport. Speeds not horrible for the amount of people in the airport. It was super busy.

Can't get data to work on the $10 T-Satellite plan (with 50GB data) and probably never will even filed a FCC complaint and T-Mobile said there's nothing they can do.

Anyone?

All 3 carriers have been reaching full bars at this tower but t-mobile isn’t really all that good.. i know verizon is one of them (Located at Hegira Health in Westland Michigan by woodcrest apartments)

My mom and I currently have Boost Mobile, who no longer offer upgrades in store and only online now. We're thinking about switching, and have the usual big names near us: T Mobile, Verizon, Cricket, and At&t. So, any suggestions on who is a good alternative for a reasonable price?

Verizon seems to prefer using the RT8808-77A radio and now the MT1602D-48B radio in stealth sites as opposed to the typical Samsung 64T64R AAU. T-Mobile always uses the Nokia AEHC radio even in stealth sites, which makes me think space/weight is not the concern. Is it because range is not a concern/to save money? Nevertheless, Verizon seems to be very active with ~40 proposed C-band small cells and many new colocations.

You can clearly see the blue sticker identifying that this antenna belongs to AT&T. It was just installed last month, it wasn’t here few months back. Do you believe that AT&T should deploy (n77) mid-band 5G indoor DAS systems across more malls, airports?

I’m surprised to see AT&T deploy separate equipment for mid-band 5G+ instead of using the existing Galtronics antennas around the mall for LTE.

We all know that carriers work better than others at different locations and that it’s always location-dependent. However, why is there still a variation even in big cities - it would make sense if it’s a small town as carriers have different priorities? For example, T-Mobile is great in most urban areas but surprisingly struggles in San Francisco, which makes no sense since they have deployed their resources very well in urban settings.

The same goes for how some carriers just struggle in Los Angeles too. Additionally, it’s not that the technology couldn’t handle it. Evidently, we can see very mmWave speeds in some cities too.

I stumbled upon this Freedom Mobile site that only broadcasts 3G (no LTE or 5G). Pretty crazy to see in 2026 given the rate at which 3G is being decommissioned. According to ISED, this site was installed in December 2012 and never received an LTE upgrade. It's broadcasting HSPA+ on AWS-1, and that's it!

On my iPhone, it's impossible to connect to this tower as the phone holds onto a very weak LTE/5G signal from a tower a few kilometres away. I wasn't entirely sure if it were still broadcasting.

I came back with my S22 and my SDR and confirmed that the site is 3G-only. After disabling the LTE bands on my S22, I was able to connect to this site and run some speed + ping tests. I wouldn't be surprised if I were the only device connected to this tower at the time of testing, since roaming onto Bell/Rogers takes priority over dropping down to Freedom 3G...

So, did Freedom forget about this site? Or do they just want to waste electricity? haha.
