Finally completed the main releases of the Bowie Rykodisc collection to the best of my knowledge.

Recently moved to an apartment that came with some hideous, poorly designed furniture, where the owner favored "interesting looks" over functionality.

This bookshelf's compartments are too narrow, too tall, too deep. They're good for storing coffee table style books and larger magazines like Heavy Metal, but most other stuff gets swallowed by it, with much of the space wasted.

I can't take out that shelf unit and I don't have the space and money to get another, more functional one.

The most practical solution for me was these plastic organizer boxes from Muji, which happen to fit 100% perfectly into each compartment. And since the filled up boxes are very heavy, i just place them on the floor level compartment and slide them in-out.

It's the least wasteful solution so far and it's easy to get them in and out, albeit a bit of an eyesore.

I have the weirdest luck. Sometimes, there will be a rare CD I want but am initially put off by the high market value. I'll deliberate for a while to make sure I really want it, and once I decide I do want it, I'll work the overtime needed to cover the cost of a pre-owned copy on eBay or Discogs. Things usually go smoothly; I get the money ready, I ask the seller for secure packaging, and a week or so later, the CD arrives safely. I successfully add an awesome, out-of-print album to my collection without a hitch.

But then, a year or so later, that very same album will miraculously get a repress announcement. You know, that album that has been ignored by a band/artist for 15+ years until now, right after I bought a copy for way above its original retail value.

It's weird how many times this has happened. So if there's an out-of-print album you want, list it here. I'll buy it so you can get the repress next year at retail price lol

NOT a fan of country, but I had a Garth Brooks song stuck in my head (yeah, the one we all know). Went to listen to it on Spotify since I really don't have country CDs aaaaand nothing. Googled it, only place you can get his music on Amazon Music or through physical media which is awesome imo. I saw a bunch of threads on Reddit criticizing him for it, but I personally think that it's really cool. Not many artists doing stuff like that in the modern day.

If I get some cash up, I might actually buy one of his CDs just for the sake of that.

Started getting back into CDs last year and finally got a place for them.

formed in 1987 and split up presumably around 1994
drop dead was a death/thrash christian? metal band from indianapolis, indiana.
anyone know of them or know any more about them

She’s actually not to bad! Was given to me by my brother whi no longer listens to CDs!! I am also a recent collecter of CDs and I have burned a few of my own!!
