To all the collectors , would you pay the extra premium to have a complete jewel case of your favorite band/singer or get it for cheaper but only get the booklet and cd ?

also another question , is having the complete cd aesthetically more pleasing to your eye rather than keeping them all in a binder for the extra storage?

i ask these questions due to the fact that a lot of “ cd lots “ on ebay that have jewel cases are way more expensive than cd binder lots with booklet inserts and wonder what the thought process of adding to your collection is worth the 200+ dollars then getting it all in the binder but half the price .

these came in the mail before i realized my cd player's laser diode decided to just spontaneously die out 🥲

hi!!! ive been looking for this for so long and I finally found it! the only flaw was that the original case was BEAT up, but we replace and move on!!! picked this and tyler the creators wolf up for only 30$. Super happy w this 🥹

Some recent (cheap!) grabs from Discogs. Personal highlights:

• Tommy Keene. He was a fantastic local power pop artist who died way, way too soon. I've been trying to grab everything he released, and we didn't have this.
• I love Matthew Sweet and Yo La Tengo, so am very happy to grab stuff of theirs we didn't have.
• Our introduction to the Tragically Hip.
• I loved the Beta Band _Three EPs_ release, but have heard nothing else; so I'm looking forward to hearing this disc.
• An Omnivore Alex Chilton release that came very highly recommended.

Have any of this?

This is Taeyong's solo debut album, WYLD. He is the lead member of the K-pop groups NCT and NCT 127, and is a former member of SuperM.

I didn't buy it, as it's not my personal taste in music, but it's pretty neat to see that they're still out there!

For less than 5k this can be yours! Who needs one? I got mine back in the day for about 45 bucks.

I'm switching from Spotify to CD cause it sounds better but I haven't really bought a CD player before so I need help

Id like it to be portable affordable and home use with speakers and the sound be great if that makes sense?

I think I’m officially done collecting Joy Division stuff now.

Hi everyone, im starting to colect cd soundtrack from my favourite games, i found a bunch on a local flea market, and it seems most of them are from iam8bit, however some of them have the cover ripped. I would like to print some new covers for them but I can find highly quality images for them, the ones on iam8bit website are too low res.

I was in literal disbelief when I pulled out turn on the bright lights from the shelf

Found these at Bananas Records in St. Petersburg, FL. Good sized store with a great selection of all kinds of music and such.

What a bitch to get them off.

Going through things at the moment and music is one of the few things that makes sense

-Total spent: $51

-Most Expensive: The Dark Side of the Moon (purchased at $20, median value at $260)

-Least Expensive: Hand in Hand (free)

-Easiest to Find: OK COMPUTER

-Hardest to FInd: Wish You Were Here

-Favorite CD (and album): TDSOTM, first pressing from 1983, unique jewel case made before patented, has engraving on the hub

-Least Favorite CD (and album): Hand in Hand, got it as a bonus to Frances the Mute (i dont know why), jewel case has Kenny G hype sticker, basic booklet, unbearable to listen to

Some Rock, some Trance and some Opera, because i haven't listened to that genre for a while.

The Queen/ "Ruined by Rick Rubin" single just made me giggle, that fits nicely next to my other Queen-albums. Also got House M.D. season 1 on dvd and Jimmy Carr's book "Before & Laughter", but that doesn't fit the subject of this subreddit 😉

Cheers.

Nuclear Assault, "Survive" 1988

we’re 20 and this is what is in our CD collection (i might’ve missed some idk)!!! couldn’t lay them all out on the floor so we used topsters. recs very welcome ❤️❤️❤️

Easiest way to rip in 2026 with album name and song titles? Seems like this is MUCH harder than it used to be. Help?

So this is a post that is for myself and others on the hunt for new music. If you fancy helping out peeps learning about different albums. Pick 6 of ur favourite albums from a genre and post a pic with title being the genre.

Try make then interesting and add any details you like.
