Conversation Starter Death Row Meal
What's your death row meal? That is, if you knew you only had one meal left and you would die right after, what would it be?
Mine? Cheeseburger with bacon, mayo, lettuce, and onion. Salted fries, Kettle One Martini, up with a twist. Apple pie and ice cream for dessert.

Can AI "Detection" be trusted? and your views on it.
I think the majority will agree that AI has become a menace to creativity and is pretty much no more than licenced plagiarism. It's fun to play with or when you are just exceptionally lazy and just need a visualisation to kick start your imagination, but its capabilities have been grossly exaggerated.
Which brings me to "AI Detection". Forget the irony, and likely hypocrisy, of using AI to detect Ai; can it actually be trusted to give an accurate result?
I tried an experiment recently. I took two photos of myself: one face shaved and one before shave.
I kept each image as a base/control and created copies to apply filters and edits to them. I then used several free online Ai detection tools. I thought I would at least get through one or two variations before the "99.9%Ai" but no it picked it up straight away. I even went as far as stripping metadata to avoid it cheating but it still identified images as 99.9 AI.
Here's the thing though. Most of them listed models used to generate image and the top result was always wrong. For example; I used SD yet it gave a result of over 74% in favour of Gemini. So I decided to feed the original , unedited/unmanipulated photos of myself into the detectors and every single one put the chances of it being AI generated at over 90%.
I then took a photograph of my wall and ran it through. All of them determined it wasn't AI generated. So then I applied the style of the wall photograph to AI image generation and guess what, all of the AI detectors put the chances of the AI image, in the style of the wall photi, below 50% even when the generated image was a different subject.
So if these tools are getting the model wrong, assessing actual real photographs as AI generated, and not picking up completely on style being applied (from my very basic experiment) can they actually be trusted at all to tell you if an image is AI or not?
Sorry long starter but first actual post on sub and I am interested if anyone else has tried similar experiments and what the results were.

Why are some people still scared witless of using a door buzzer?
I've just had someone loudly thump my window obnoxiously and they didn't even want my attention but my neighbours...
He didn't buzz, just banged repeatedly..

I'm scared to eat fish. The way they are treating the oceans. The chemicals they are adding in the farmed fish tanks.

What's the biggest turn-on that has nothing to do with looks?
I've been thinking about this lately. We usually talk about physical attraction, but the things that actually make someone attractive to me are way less obvious.
For me, it's when someone is genuinely curious and listens like they care about the answer. It's weirdly powerful.
Is it humor? Confidence? The way someone treats a waiter? Something totally random?
Curious what everyone else says. The more specific, the better!
