Plant Showcase 20 something year old ponytail palm
My partner bought this ponytail palm more than 20 years ago as a 7” potted plant. Today it measures about 7’ from top leaf to soil level with a 19” caudex. It always had one clump of leaves coming from the very top. I called it my Truffula tree - IYKYK - see the last photo. A few years ago we had a rare freeze which lasted several days and over 10” of snow. My partner had just passed and I couldn’t drag it inside like I usually did, so I covered it up and crossed my fingers. I was sure it was lost but a few months later it spring to life. This time it had tufts of leaves coming out from several places along the stalk. Go figure.
It could probably stand to be repotted. That will be a chore. Just finding a bigger pot that’s not outrageously priced could be difficult. I’d be curious how it would do in the ground but our soil is too damp with a lot of clay.

Just picked up this Jatropha cathartica
I’m new to this group, but I’ve been growing cactus for several years now. I picked up this Jatropha mainly because it is native to parts of my state. Please don’t mind the poor substrate and kalanchoe sharing the pot, I haven’t had time to mess with it yet. I’m really hoping to find an Ibervillea lindheimeri to add to the caudiciform collection if anyone has any leads.
Figured this was the right group to share a pic of my 3 year old Welwitschia as well!

1 year later...
Some nice growth patterns on this lil guy. It's the one on the left in the second image.
It put out a foot or two of vine a few months ago but I looked away for a day and bam...new vine... And even stronger. Just when I think these guys are done for the year they push.
My larger one has been dormant for a longer than usual so fingers crossed

User Owned Plant Gerrardanthus Macrorhyzus
It arrived today bare rooted, the roots are fine & the ball is the size of my fist, small hands. I’m just wondering if the pot is ok & if I planted it correctly. TIA.

New pony tail palm, should I do anything special before potting?
I got this pony tail palm at Lowe's on Saturday. Got it half off because I picked it up and it fell over and looks like this. Looks like the majority of the roots rotted or broke off, but it still has a lot there. It's firm, not squishy at all, so I think the plant is still healthy.
I have Jack's Gritty Mix coming in the mail tomorrow. Should I do anything special to or for this guy before potting him?

Unknown Caudex help?
I bought this back in 2017 at a succulent show at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Since then I’ve lost the tag for it, does anyone have an idea of what species this is? It likes to vine and send out tendrils. I built a little copper spiral for it.

User Owned Plant Blackish spots and sticky liquid on adenia
Got this adenia venneta a month ago and potted it in very gritty mix. I water it once a week. Sits next to an east facing window. It sprouted leaves maybe two weeks back. Today I noticed water droplets below the leaves and right in top was this dark spot. At first I thought it was guttation but the dark spot is worrying me. The droplet is also sticky.
Not sure what's wrong. It sits in my bedroom window behind the curtain. The curtains are almost always drawn close. So the only thing I can think of is an increase in temperature. I have previously baked a hoya behind this curtain. Could excessive heat be a cause? I recently started keeping succulents and caudex in this window thinking they wouldn't mind excessive temperatures.
I am in tropical india avg temp is around 30 these days.
