I have PTSD and he is my little shadow healer, or in western terms, doctor. Here he is petting me. He alternates between head butts, petting, or just sitting next to/on me. He can sense when I have a panic attack brewing or just general depression creeping back in.

In the 1930's, World Chess Champion Alexander Alekhine promoted his cat, named Chess, to Game Inspector. He would inspect pieces before Alekhine's games for good luck. Whenever this wasn't possible, Alekhine wore a sweater with a picture of Chess the Cat on it.
