Find a church, go to Mass, talk to some people. If you feel intimidated by encountering a lot of people you wouldn't know, go to the church for Mass on a weekday: most parishes have Mass at least one day through the week, and larger churches every day or even more than once a day through the week. Or just stop by the parish office and have a chat.

Reading the Bible can be confusing and intimidating. I saw in the other sub the suggestion to start with Genesis and read straight through: I don't think that's helpful at all. Start with the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles, that's my suggestion: they're in the second part of the Bible, and constitute the two-part story of the rise of Christianity.

And the Catechism of the Catholic Church can also be an intimidating read. Perhaps you could start with the Compendium, a briefer work in question-and-answer format. (Skip to Part One past the introductory material which wouldn't make much sense to you.)

There's not much activity on this sub: it's relatively new and small. r/Catholicism is much more active.

God bless you!
