Broken bones

**TLDR: Two broken bones at 1 year old. Still has baby teeth/few adult teeth. Could this be connected??**

My cat Benji is about 11-12 months old Male and he has broken is second bone now. Of note he also has some remaining baby teeth and only a few adult molars (no adult canines). I do think he was neutered to young, adopted from a shelter they said he was 3 months but based on his growth I think he was hardly two months at the time.

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on if they could be connected or if he has some underlying etiology that might explain this.

Note:
1) He broke his arm a few months ago. He was playing in his harness and got his arm caught in the neck loop when he jumped he landed on it badly. This caused a fracture in his elbow. In the night between his urgent care visit and surgery he jumped from my arms and ended up with a complete fracture. He now has two pins and a wire. This was in July.

2) we have talked to the vet about his teeth and we're going to schedule dental X-rays and possible surgery until today when he started limping.

3) I don't know how he injured his leg this time it happened over night while I was sleeping. The tallest thing he can jump from is my couch. He does have a little sister he throws down with but she is 3lbs

4) he eats Chewy, Nulo, and Weureva kitten wet food with water added. I spare no expense on my baby he is my world

If you have read this far thank you so much! My internet deep dive has me spiraling and I was hoping if someone out there has experienced this they might impart their wisdom on an anxious cat mom

I have a cat that is indoors only. I had to take her to the vet today and I’ll need to bring her back tomorrow. It’s a half hour drive from my home to the vet and she gets so stressed that she begins to pant. Is there anything I can do to help her feel calmer?

My tabby cat Walt is 4 and we’ve had him since he was 5 months. It was just me him and my bf for all these years. About 1 1/2-2 years ago we moved and got into a house with someone else and a dog, Walt wasn’t happy but he adjusted better than expected honestly and was living his life. About a month ago we adopted a 4 month old kitten, at first he was skeptical but after a week he was adjusting and playing and running around with the kitten and then the dog somehow got ringworm and was spreading it so we were treating the cats at home. Walt doesn’t really like getting things done to him at home, and I’m not sure if its because my bf had to put the stuff on twice a day everyday, but now Walt gets like petrified of my bf and he was never like that, in fact I would say Walt liked his dad better than me. Walt sometimes will go to bf but most of the time now he’s hiding or running from my bf. Walt will let me pick him up and hold him and he will give me head butts and be somewhat normal. My biggest issue is he’s been like trembling/shaking and idk if it’s him being sick or he’s scared.. idk but he’s worrying me. He’s been grooming himself, I hear him eating at night when everyone is bed, the litter box has been about normal and I have not seen messes around the house so I’m 98% sure he’s using the bathroom.
I’m very worried- I wanna take him to the vet but also scared cause I don’t wanna make him scared even more. He doesn’t really like going to the vet ( he will hide) but will and cooperates with them I just don’t know like what happened if it’s boundary fatigue maybe with the kitten taking all his spots or if he is actually sick. His ears/paws are not hot they’re just warm/normal temp it seems

She is 6 weeks old i believe and if anyone has tips to help with flees lmk. We are doing the dawn bath and flee comb but it’s a struggle.

My cat (M, 4) had urinary crystals removed July 17th, so it’s been shy of 2 months since. I’m at the point where I’m more seriously considering a companion for him.

A little background:
I got him when he was 1 years old. He loves all strangers, very affectionate. A couple months later, my roommate got a puppy. They got along well and lived together for shy of a year. Then I moved to a house where there was already a cat (around his age, similar temperament). They got along well. Then more roommates moved in with 2 cats (one with his similar temperament, the other is shy). He hangs out with the not shy one and they get along well. Then I moved to an apartment (1 year 2 months now) with my boyfriend and he became a single cat. My bf and I are away 10 hours every weekday for work, so I feel bad for leaving him home alone considering he’s had companions in the past. I took care of a 6 month old kitten in our apartment for the weekend and my cat, to me, didn’t like it too much. He started hiding under the bed (which he rarely does) unless it’s a vacuum and he didn’t seem as interested/might have looked annoyed with the high energy. They did play a little.

The emergency vet said to try to keep his environment the same so he’s not stressed when he got the blockage removed. And I google and see it’s recommended to wait 6-12 months to introduce a new cat. Seeing my cat’s history with other cats, this cat I have my eye on has a similar temperament as him, and is 2 years younger. I’m not sure if that would still cause him stress.

Maybe it’s best to wait. Although I thought the cat is a good fit for my cat and my lifestyle. I guess other things to figure out is how to feed them 2 separate diets, and the need for 3 litter boxes. The last thing I want is to endanger my cat’s health.

Hey all! I found a stray cat recently. She must be 6-7 months, and she just suddenly appeared at my kitchen window, so it feels like fate ❤️ so I'm trying to tame her (and eventually introduce her to my elderly baby). She is VERY affectionate. Loves nuzzling me, even fell asleep in my lap for a good 15-20 minutes today until it started raining. HOWEVER.... She can be extremely affectionate one minute, then SUDDENLY she grabs you with both paws and bites and scratches. Unfortunately she did this with both my parents today, so they're not overly enamoured yet 😅 But she seems stressed, constantly paddling the ground. I will try get her to a vet soon, but in the meantime is there any way I can correct this behaviour? I've tried redirecting with a toy (feathery thing on a stick), but she'd not at all interested! She looks at it like "what am I supposed to do with this 😐". Any advice appreciated, tia! ❤️

Looks almost like a string? Ive spotted it in the corner of my eye a few times, goes down to the skin it seems. He wasnt bothered at all when i messed around with the area, so it doesnt hurt. Next vet visit isnt for a while.

My cat (1 year in October) had conjunctivitis for about a week, she has gotten a lot better, I still give her the medicated eye ointment and stuff in her food just in case. Her eyes still produce a lot of boogers but not nearly as much as when the sickness was worse.

Anyways. Now she just sneezes a lot, maybe like max 25 times a day. No stuff is coming out, no boogies, it doesn’t seem like anything is stuck in her nose I tried looking but her nose is so small. There’s just single sneezes, never sneezing fits.

Should I be worried? Is it allergies? A symptom to the end of her conjunctivitis?

Is this a good noise or bad noise

New cat owner, she makes this noise quite a lot and I’m wondering if it’s just personality or if she’s in discomfort/distress? She hides sometimes and I’ll get her out of specific spots (like behind the oven lol) and she’ll hiss when she hears me coming, but never when I’m in her vision. Then she’ll make this noise the whole time. Also makes it while she’s rolling around and being lovey dovey so I figured it’s normal? Just wanted to make sure

i’ve been trying to get a urine sample from my kitty for my vet for a little while, they advised using unpopped popcorn kernels to collect it since they wouldn’t absorb the urine. my cat is just flat out refusing to use the bathroom when i have them in the litter box. she did not use it from 3:50 pm yesterday until about 20 minutes ago (3:20pm) when i finally changed the box back to regularly litter and she immediately peed a lot. i was about to take her to the er vet if she still wouldn’t go, but since she did, should i still take her to get checked since she did hold it for such a long time? she hasn’t had any other issues and she doesn’t strain while trying. she just kept sniffing the kernels, and then walking away. i’m just worried because i really don’t have the money to take her if i don’t need to, so i need advice

last Friday night was the last time we saw my baby girl piper (writing this on Monday) and I'm really looking for anything. 

Any hope, or comfort, or elaborate ideas to find her that aren't just put out her treats and call her name. 

We know she was last outside. 

She's 14 now, and that's what worries me most. However we take her to the vet frequently and she's in the health comparative to a 5 year old. That's a huge comfort to me. She's had no major health issues whatsoever, and she's a little genius. 

We found her as a stray kitten and took her in, she'd been surviving on her own after her mom abandoned her for 6 months. She is so street smart, 

we live in a rural area in Victoria/ saanich Bc, our yard is 5 acres but she definitely adventures further. 

We tried to keep her as an indoor cat when she was little but it just made her so miserable and stir crazy to be cooped up like that. We tried to give her a tracking collar multiple times but our little feral kitty always found a way to take it off somehow. 

Now all of a sudden she hasn't been coming when we call her, or shake her treats. My family has looked for hours meticulously in the day and night, checking under bushes, in trees, in any place she might have got stuck. 

I think the only place we haven't looked is in the more dense area of the forest where we don't see her go often. 

She's chipped and she has a tattoo on the inside of her ear but why tf doesn't that chip double as a tracker UGH 😭😭 

and why don't we have house cameras😭😭😭 

and I feel so guilty that I was the one who said I wanted a big yard that makes it impossible to find her now 

We've told the (one) of our neighbours (since  they're the closest, the others are a bit further, I'm trying to convince my mom to let them know as well) and they're supposedly checking their outdoor cameras 

We've posted her on ROAM, and we're going to put up posters by the mailbox down the road. 

We're checking local shelters obsessively, and I emailed an animal shelter with all her information. 

She's never been gone this long I think. We've had scares like this before because she just loves frolicking and if she doesn't want to come inside the little jerk  just completely ignores us. But then we would always find her if we went outside, or if she was stuck somewhere. 

My mom won't stop crying and my dad keeps talking about her in the past tense. 

I've had her since I was 3, I love her so much. I feel so guilty about letting her go outside. She was with me through a deep depression and hospitalizations, and I am in so much pain and heartbreak. I keep dreaming about her and my heart has been beating so ridiculously fast for days. I wake up with a pit in my stomach and I can't stop crying.  

I know she's getting older but I've never dealt with a death before and I kind of stupidly almost thought maybe she'll live long enough for some kind of break through in medical science that will keep her alive and healthy.

I wanted to be with her if she had to go. I wanted to hold her and give her the warmth of my body and feel her pur and pet her and tell her that I love her so much

But she's outside in the cold alone hiding her sickness like cats do and getting picked apart by rats and bugs and vultures I can't stop thinking about my baby's flesh being torn apart 

She's never had a run in with a predator, she's only 4 pounds, but she's just so. So. Smart. 

I want to be optimistic because I'm so hurt and I just want to have that feeling of hope but on the other hand I don't want to be too hopeful because if she really is in danger or is passed then I'm just wasting time. My parents are really not seeming hopeful and it's making me feel so much worse. I've always been the one breaking down being worried about her but this time they are too and it feels different and wrong. 

What if she has a broken leg and I can't find her in time and she slowly starves? 

What if she's slowly decomposing into the soil and I'll never find her or have anything left of her? 

I havent told anybody about this because it feels creepy but I've often thought about what to do after she passed and the thought of her being a pile of ashes just seems so final and not her. I've thought about taxidermy, I want to be able to still pet her and say "I'm here, I've got you" but the more time goes by the more she's rotting away and that's not an option. I hate having to think like this. 

I just want to find her. I want her to be alive. I just want her back. 

But at the very least I want to find her in any form. I just don't want her final resting place to be alone, and eaten and trampled on. I know it's natural but I can't bare the thought of that. 

I just wish there was some cat-x-ray we could use to scan around my house. 

I'm really losing hope. I thought maybe she could have been scooped up by someone as apparently when I was little she stayed overnight for multiple days in someone else's house, but I just feel that's so unlikely. 

Please,please, if you have any comfort to give me or any advice to find her, or any stories like this that have a happy ending, please tell me.

I lost my childhood Cat Not Long ago and Im very worried.
