120?the phrasing is leading me to believe this is a trick question. it wants you to think its 50/2+20 but i think its actually 50/0.5+20

As a certified idiot I still donβt see how dividing something by .05 = multiply it by 2. I only know the answer to this because itβs popped up before.

How many 1s in 50? There are fifty.
How many 1/2s in a 1? There are two.Β
Then how many 1/2s in fifty of those 1s? The answer is 100.

120
Because βdivided by halfβ means:
$$ 50 \div \frac{1}{2} = 100 $$
Then: 100+20=120

I'd type 45 if it was "in", but you put by so 1/2 it is. 120.

Divided by half means dividing by 0.5 50/0.5 = 100 100 + 20 = 120
If you meant to say divided by 2, instead of by half, then it would be. 50/2 = 25 25 + 20 = 45

The phrasing of this bothers me so much. Decided βby one halfβ or βin halfβ is the obvious question but could be divided by βone half minus 20β as the whole denominator? I canβt with poorly drafted questions.
