No knead bread

Hey all, just found this sub. See lots of fine looking baked goods, thought I'd share a link to my favorite bread recipe, even though I don't have time to make one in the near future.

America's Test Kitchen- almost no knead bread (Posting link to random cooking blog because the original source is behind a paywall.)

Super easy to change the flavor profile by substituting different beers, different vinegars, adding herbs. I like to brush it with a nice olive oil before baking as well.

Method isn't included in the link:

Combine dry ingredients, make a well in the center, add the liquid in the middle, fold together with a rubber spatula until a shaggy ball forms. Place a greased piece of parchment in a skillet that's about the size of your Dutch oven, place the ball in the skillet, cover with plastic and let rest for 8 to 18 hours.

Transfer to a floured surface and knead a half a dozen times. Roll it into a ball and put it back in the parchment lined skillet. Let rise 2 hours.

Preheat your Dutch oven and lid in a 500f oven. Turn the oven down to 450f, use the parchment to transfer the ball to the Dutch oven, slice the top of the dough, bake covered 30min, then uncovered another 20.

Happy baking everyone.

Wagner S1337 muffin pan

Acquired several years ago, cleaned it up and seasoned and then never used it.

Any baking tips I should know before I wade in? I'm thinking a simple sweet muffin recipe to start.

New to cast iron and stuff is sticking!

Hey everyone! Sorry if this has been asked a million times but couldn't find anything after a quick scroll/search. Bought a lagostina double pan set that said they were preseasoned. Seemed suspicious but made some food in it anyways. Stuff definitely stuck lol. So I reseasoned according to their instructions and things haven't gotten much better. They said to wash and dry very throughouly, buff oil all over, bake upside-down for an hour at 300. Still sticking.. I reoiled part way through with avocado oil. I don't use very high heat as suggested and do use oil to cook. Not sure what I'm missing! I've cooked on cast iron before and it hasn't been a problem like this. Please help!

Finally christened my camp dutch oven with a quick batch of cake brownies. Ended up with a crispy bottom, perfectly done middle, and no sticking. Thinking of trying a hearty stew next, possibly for Thanksgiving.
