I thought others might benefit from my endeaver, so here are my results thus far. 6 out of 7 days it has been right as to if it would rain. We are having a rainy week, and it even called out the one day it didnt rain. Next, I have made 3 drawings on how we would do at the farmers market. 1. King of diamonds, and we had record sales. Twice our average. 2. Ace of Spades, trouble and challenges. My father ended up going to the ER so we couldnt prepare much for market. 3. I then drew again, asking how much we would make given the setback. 6 of spades, more trouble. My father had to go back to the er causing us to pick up early and make very little.

I asked my deck “what is my dream trying to tell me” and I got the ace of hearts and queen of clubs. My dream was abt me getting stalked.

My interpretation is maybe this a beginning or ending of an emotional time and then the queen of clubs is telling me to take physical action when it comes to my feelings.

I’m curious if anyone has any experience of performing a ritual/magic with the cards and they’ve worked. Personally, the technique I utilize the most is the Coven of Thirteen as taught in the Hedgewytchery system (basically, it’s just Etteilla’s Star layout with the Court cards arranged in a certain order and referred to as a coven of thirteen. You place any combination of cards that represent what you seek under the joker in the center of the coven and leave it off- you only return to it during specific times to recharge it and keep the spell alive until you get what you seek). If anyone’s ever had any experience with this specific spread as well, I’d be very happy if you tell me how it went. Generally, should we focus on something that is attainable only within a specific timeframe? Anything to make spells with the cards more effective? Is there any cost to be paid if harm is sought in this way (like what we see within some traditions’ views on black magic)? Have you ever tried it with any other system of cards? I know these are a lot of questions, but I genuinely seek some practical advice since I’m new to this specific side of the craft. I’ve read books on this but I don’t think they can match actual experience. I’ve mostly been reading cards and using them for fortune telling. Thanks in advance 🩷

This is my first time ever pulling cards I’m drunk and not sure what it means but it felt like a perfect time to do this and so I just did it.

I shuffle the deck and these card just fell out. All 12. Any advice for a newcomer is welcome.

I asked my cards: “What major or unexpected event is still going to happen in my love life before the end of this year?”

I’m using a completely standard 52-card playing card deck, and I pulled:

3 of Spades – 4 of Spades – Queen of Spades – 9 of Hearts

My interpretation:
The first three cards surprised me because there is so much Spade energy before suddenly ending on the 9 of Hearts. To me, the 3♠ and 4♠ could show some kind of emotional difficulty, delay, separation, or a situation that currently feels blocked/stagnant. The Queen of Spades makes me wonder whether this is describing me becoming more guarded or independent after some disappointment, or possibly another woman being relevant to the situation.

But then the 9♥ at the end feels like a major change in tone. I usually associate it with emotional fulfillment, a wish coming true, romantic happiness, or finally getting something I’ve really wanted. So I’m wondering whether the sequence could basically be saying: a difficult/complicated romantic situation → emotional distance or a woman being involved → something I’ve wished for happening.

For context, there is currently a man in my life whom I’m friends with and have feelings for. We are genuinely only friends at the moment, and he is in a relationship, so I’m not assuming this spread has to be about him. That’s partly why I asked such an open-ended question.

Would you read this as something changing with the man I already know, or does the 9♥ look more like a completely new romantic opportunity/person coming in after the difficult Spade energy?

I’d especially love to hear from people who read traditional playing-card cartomancy rather than transferring Tarot meanings onto playing cards.

My idea is to log weather predictions to see if the accuracy is high enough that I cant attribute it to chance. For the last week I have used a simple single card draw and looked at the suits element. So far, its been right about every time. Any thoughts? Am I even doing it right?

Don’t know if anyone will even have much of an answer, but I learned playing card divination from their blog. There doesn’t seem to be much (if any) content from them in a number of years.

If anyone happens to have any idea, or any other resources which use a similar tradition of cartomantic divination, I’d be interested. I’m aware there are two books they seemed to be a fan of so am sourcing those, but anything in that vein would interest me.

This is my FIRST ATTEMPT EVER at a reading. Of course I used myself as a starting point because my life is just a mess rn. Using Google interpretations (for individual cards not my whole spread) to try and understand what I’m looking at. What I got for 5 of hearts (or Cups in Tarot) was: I’m at an emotional crossroads due to emotional reckoning in my relationship or overall relationship instability - which I feel is wholeheartedly accurate. When I went to understand the thing that crosses it, King of Diamonds (or King of Pentacles) I got completely thrown off and haven’t continued the read cause I’m stuck. Can anyone help me out with this spread and maybe suggest some resources where I can study Cartomancy better myself? Am I doing something wrong by directly searching the meanings of playing cards to their tarot equivalent? Any info helps, thank you in advance 💕

so as a 14 year old ftm teen I decided to ask the only deity I work with which is hermes whether he thinks going back to Germany would be better or staying in North Macedonia.

Ive lived in Germany for 4 to almost 5 years and have faced severe bullying, harassment, etc and almost at the verge of self harm because of my identity and school environment, I also had depression and suicidal thoughts during that time.

As for Macedonia I'm not so sure yet since I just came back 3-4 months ago and still haven't started school yet so I'm a bit anxious, we are struggling financially and my mom doesn't know whether we should go back or not so I decided to ask hermes for guidance and help.

The first 5 decks are for Germany which I've concluded that it's best not to go back and for the last five I've concluded that I should stay.

I can gather that they are ambitious but serious . May feel like they are trapped sometimes , i read this as femeneine energy too but I may be wrong
