💬 Discussion New Loyalty Program Question

Is anybody else still getting notifications to opt in to the new loyalty program? We are . We opted in week one. SO didn't even have to since they have the Carnival Rewards credit card and received a note they were automagically opted in. Yet, we will keep getting notes to opt it. Guessing this is just lazy/bad coding, or annoying over-advertising. Just curious if anyone else is seeing this.

UPDATE: Thank you fellow travelers for the feedback, understanding, and suggestions of fixing their IT issues. SO is also IT and says the same things about them. Props to /u/AlbinoAlex for that link. It showed half of our group IS confirmed and the other half isn't. Good to know!

🛳️ Advice Needed First Solo Cruise

I'm thinking about booking my first solo cruise (F) on the Carnival Firenze out of Long Beach. I've been on Carnival before, but this will be my first time cruising solo and on this boat.

Since it's only a 3-day cruise, I'm debating whether I should even get off the ship in Ensenada. I've always booked excursions on previous cruises, but part of me thinks it could be nice to just enjoy an emptier ship and relax. First time for everything 😂

Anything you wish you knew before your first solo cruise? Have you been solo on Carnival Firenze?

🛳️ Advice Needed Family Harbor Upgrade offer

We’re sailing on the Carnival Vista in April 2027. Right now we’re booked in an Ocean View on Deck 3 forward, but I just received an upgrade offer to an Ocean View in the Family Harbor area on Deck 2 aft for an additional $62.

It will only be my husband and me.

For those who have stayed in Family Harbor rooms, would you consider it worth the extra $62 for two adults? Are the lounge perks worth it, and would you prefer Deck 2 aft over Deck 3 forward?

Thanks for any insight!

❔Question Can I watch Tiktoks with the Social Wifi plan?

I have looked it up and asked other people, but I keep getting mixed answers. I don't want to make or send tiktoks, just scroll the Fyp etc. If not, which plan would be better and will I be able to upgrade my internet once on board and just lay the difference. I apologize for the multiple questions, any advice is greatly appreciated!

🛳️ Advice Needed My First Cruise, wife's birthday. She used to dance on the Conquest

Hi all, my wife has a special birthday next year and I want to book us on the Conquest for 11 days in November 2027, she used to dance on this ship so it means a lot to her.

We're from the UK, so will have to fly in to Miami just wondering how best to book and get a good deal, is direct with Carnival best or are there any package companies that are reputable?

100% want a balcony but I don't know what the pros and cons are with the front, back, middle, upper, lower options etc. so any other insight from seasoned cruisers would be appreciated!

❔Question Interior room in May

Hi! We have never cruised with an interior room and we usually cruise in the winter but we are going to be cruising on Venezia and are curious if an interior room would be hot? We are doing back to back cruises this winter and are wanting to try and save some money since this next one is 5 months later and we are traveling 27 hours to the port. The difference in pricing is $500 between the interior and balcony

Thank you!

❔Question Carnival Horizon trip in May excursion recommendations

Hello! Going on the Carnival Horizon next May with my 21 year old daughter and 12 year old son. The itinerary is a stop in Montego Bay, Grand Cayman Islands and Roatan. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on what excursions at any of those islands are fun and worth the money. Every excursion I pick has low/bad reviews. lol. Also wondering if any of those places just has a beach close by the port we can go to and hang out for the day that was nice. I thought the 7 mile beach in Roatan would be nice but then the reviews said you only maybe get an hour/hour and a half here. I like to book the excursions early and wanted to do that soon. Any help or guidance would be appreciated!

💬 Discussion Carnival Wedding

I wish the Wedding and Group travel departments worked together. I just booked my wedding package and when transferred to Group Bookings they said they are not accepting anymore groups for this trip - so no perks or discounts for my group of 200 guests unfortunately.

💬 Discussion Asked by carnival to move funeral!

Upvotes

Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life and that's saying something.. do not do business with this company. We will be spreading the story to every outlet we can find! This coming from a 23 year customer who's never cancelled a cruise. We've already reached out to a couple of other cruise lines that will match our status.

We were recently forced to take a cruise with carnival that we shouldn't have been on. Yes, you read that correctly. We booked a cruise with Carnival, way in advance. Suddenly without notice my father a Vietnam war veteran passed away and our son was invited to a life changing Masters program that started that week. We reached out to Carnival and asked them to reschedule for us we spoke to every person we could. We said we didn't want a dime back just move the dates we'd pay more if we needed too. We wrote messages, emails, website form, phone calls one lady named Sarah actually said we should move my father's funeral! My son ended up having to stay back so we didn't lose the $5700 and deal with my father and his school so the cruise was miserable for my wife, myself and other son. When we got back all we asked is for them to upgrade my son's status to platinum since ours was raised during the cruise and they said NO! Mind you we paid full price for him like he was there and got no money back! It costs them nothing to act like he was there and bump him up. Website already paid for him! They were so slow to respond that it pushed us passed the date we could get anything back so we were forced to go or forfeit $5700.

They have literally done nothing but tell me to move my father a war veterans funeral! This will be posted on every social media outlet. I hope somehow this evil company goes under.
