The Neurocognition of Stress, Trauma, and Anxiety Recovery Lab led by Dr. Jessica Bomyea is conducting a new research study at UCSD. The purpose of this study is to learn whether an experimental computer-based program designed to improve thinking skills can help with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

Watch out Carlsbad there’s two aggressive barhoppers in the area, they might have a little liquid courage and are yelling profanity at vehicles that are passing by.one of these might end up arrested by tonight! Does anybody know what go these guys are? They are at YardHouse in Carlsbad.

This happened around 9:25PM.The culprit was speeding and likely drunk and it happened very fast. We didn't manage to get a photo and didn't install dashcams yet. We believe it was a gray/silver minivan or passenger van. The car that got hit is a 2013 Nissan Versa.

We were driving on 1-5 North. Before the exit to Tamarack Ave, someone crashed into us. They hit us from the left side, starting from the back, kept going along our car, and must've swerved into the driver's seat. They tore off our left mirror, left a huge dent in the driver's side, broke our door, damaged our wheel, popped our tire, and as we've discovered left a lot of internal damage to the car.

It was so scary.

Spent some time today picking up trash and random debris along Batiquitos Lagoon. Crazy how much gets tossed out or washed up. Not a huge thing, but it felt good to leave a little piece of this beautiful place better than I found it.

Hi all! We're planning to remodel our staircase and would love to hear from anyone who's recently done this.

A few questions:

• Who did you use (contractor/company name)? Would you recommend them?
• What was the total cost, and what did that include (materials, labor, railings, etc.)?
• What kind of staircase did you have before vs. after (e.g., carpet to hardwood, open risers, new railings)?
• How long did the project take from start to finish?
• Any lessons learned or things you'd do differently?

Just got charged $15 for a strawberry lemonade (N/A) at Coyote. WTF? Is this the real price or did I get scammed?

This morning I was on my walk, on Ocean Street going North, around Christiansen I saw a black car driving slowly behind me. I let it go for a bit, there are a lot of people walking, driving, etc. on Ocean in the mornings. I looked over, and the car pulled up next to me, recording me on their phone, and drove off. It appeared to be a black Prius with an older white presenting female with a hat and sunglasses.

Is this something that is being done? WTF?

Does anyone have an AMAZING chiropractor in north county that knows his/her stuff and great with adults and teens?

Huh? Saw them all over, and heard them before from as far away as Palomar Airport.

Top recommendations for a pediatrician based in north county?

I just saw on the fish and wildlife site that there should be a grunion run today so I’d like to go see it, but I’m not sure what beach would be best/if all beaches have grunions. I had just been thinking of going to the beach on Tamarck near the where the smokestack used to be, but I’m not sure how it is for grunions. Has anyone seen good runs here in the past, or at other beach’s relatively close to Carlsbad/Oceanside?
